Pure vomit. This is as bad as bringing Marty Hurney back. Why do Charlotte sports keep doing this to us
-
After sleeping on it, I'm much happier about last night. I trust in Mitch, he hasn't really had a bad move here yet until seemingly last night so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Williams is going to be such a stud for us and is a better fit than Duren. The value for pick 13 seems too low for me but I do understand the aspect of us not having a ton of room for 2 more young players needing to develop and that next year's draft is better than this year's. I'm much happier trading away that pick for futures than if we just traded it to get rid of Hayward's contract which would've been a disaster. We can keep Miles without giving away assets to get rid of Hayward, plus there's the fact that the past 2 years this team has been a playoff team with a healthy Gordon and much worse when he's out. If Gordon can stay relatively healthy and our young guys continue to take steps forward I can absolutely see this team being a top 6 seed in the East. Now just make the right decision for HC. All my positive thoughts about the team right now would immediately vanish if Clifford comes back. D'Antoni is the play here. With him I could see LaMelo putting up 25/8/7 or similar, on good efficiency.

Gotta be that plus they take Hayward. Which is better than nothing but still underwhelming and stupid.
-
Which is bullshit because we can keep Miles without getting rid of Hayward’s contract, just MJ saving some $ at the expense of putting a competitive team on the court. Stupid
-
fuging disgusting this stupid ass fuging team. Duren falls to us and we trade him away just to get rid of Hayward so MJ saves some money. What a joke
-
Mark Williams and Duren would be a dream.

Front 7 on D on paper concerns me quite a bit. Shaq is the only legit starter at LBer, Luvu could get there as he was great in a lesser role last year but it's yet to be seen how he'll do with significant snaps on D. DE is thin if Burns and YGM don't take steps forward and even if they do not much depth. DT a huge concern if Brown plays like he did last year, although I do like the Ioannidis acquisition.

My guess is Arch winds up being a career journeyman fringe starter/backup. Would be cool though if he did continue in Peyton and Eli's footsteps as HoF starting QBs who win multiple SBs (for us of course).

Oh wow, Kenny Atkinson refuses the hornets head coaching job
t96 replied to philit99's topic in Charlotte Hornets
More embarrassing things happening for Charlotte sports, although personally I wanted D'Antoni much more than Atkinson so hopefully this plays out like it did for the Colts getting a much better HC after McDaniels pulled this poo on them. fug Kenny A -
I don’t care for him or his show either but was the bolded really necessary?
-
I'd gladly do this.

waiting for Rhule to trade for his old Baylor buddy Denzel Mims who seems to be on the way out in NYJ already... dude sucks but I fully expect this to happen sooner or later. At least we didn't waste a high draft pick on him a few years ago.
-
Would be a great signing at this point in the offseason. Get it done Fitts
-
Would be nice if we could somehow get Ayton or Gobert without giving up the picks. With Ayton a pending FA maybe Gordon ++ could get it done. Gobert much less likely without those picks
-
Hire D'Antoni and get Gobert or Ayton and this team is easily a top 6 seed in the East next year. Not sure that group would have us contending for Championships at any point but we need to become a perennial playoff team ASAP or Melo is gonna bail and those moves would get us there in my opinion. As a perennial playoff team with a bonafide stud in Melo and hopefully Bridges emerging, we could actually attract other top talent and role player vets to come here in time. Gotta start somewhere and gotta do it soon or all the exciting pieces we have right now will blow up in our faces.

Panthers sign pass rushing DE to replace Haason Reddick

What is a “3 year split?” -
I'm about as disappointed after that season as I could possibly be. That's 2 straight years of being a top 3-5 regular season team but getting knocked out in the 2nd round. Tampa is one thing, they've won the Cup the last 2 years. But to lose to the Rags at home in game 7 and get blown out in the process is just unacceptable. Something needs to change. I'd start with whoever the hell coaches our powerplay. Also trade Necas/futures for a star forward who can score. JT Miller would be intriguing. Also a big fan of Forsberg in Nashville who we could sign as a UFA but seems likely he'll re-sign with the Preds.
-
Happy for him, but not a big fan of him as an announcer. He's better than most but I just hate announcers these days. The networks make them call it a certain way which just doesn't appeal to me. Continuously getting overly hyped when there is no reason for it. Sometimes you gotta just call it straight man. Also bullshit that he only gets it until Brady retires, fug Fox for that nonsense. Hope Greg can go and stick on another network as the #1 once that happens and that network does better than Fox.

Tepper Sports to install grass field but not for Panthers
t96 replied to GRWatcher's topic in Carolina Panthers
This type of thing makes me hate Tepper with a passion. fuging douche -
If this doesn’t get you excited about Matt Corral, nothing will
t96 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't want to get too excited knowing that as a fan of this team over the years we'll probably be letdown but man how fuging awesome would it be if this kid is a legit franchise QB and Icky is a legit franchise LT. -
Yeah I don't disagree but nobody has been calling our defense top 5... Top 10-15 I think is fair and is a tremendous quick turn around considering what our D was in 2019. I also have higher hopes for this year, largely because I think our offense will be able to play some more ball control and we may have some leads that can allow Snow to create some creative blitzes and pressure where I think he'll excel. Also Wilks is a HUGE (re)addition in my opinion, he'll do wonders with Chinn and the other DBs in blitzing, like he did with Mike Mitchell and company in 2013.
-
Do people not remember how bad our D was before Snow came in? It was literally bottom 2 in the league. And then we proceeded to let multiple starters, the few who were actually good, leave in free agency and oh also the greatest MLB of all time retired in his prime. Snow has done a tremendous job with his defense, especially considering they've been on the field the majority of every game since our offense and special teams have been terrible under Rhule.

Canes vs Bruins Game 7 HOME ICE 4:30pm Saturday
t96 replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
fug Boston so happy to knock those fugers out and end their season. Let’s keep it rolling boys. I like our odds against PIT/NYR. Tampa/Toronto/Florida will be a real challenge though. If we get through that round I think we win it all regardless of who we would meet in the Finals. -
also do we have any idea if training camp will be in spartanburg again?
