  1. I’d try to lock him up long term too before he potentially explodes in a 3-4 D with competent coaching. If we don’t he could get 15+ sacks next year and we could be needing to make him the highest paid pass rusher…
  2. Hopefully/maybe. Worth noting he got a ton of HC interest despite the Broncos being a dumpster fire his 1 season there…
  3. He got more out of Ginn than any other coach Ginn had in his many NFL stops… other than that yeah not much
  4. Good, he's not a very good coach. Little bit of nepotis...
  5. For what it's worth it is officially smokescreen season and that HC and GM very well could be guys with their eye on a particular QB or another one and throw this out there to get other GMs/HCs further questioning themselves. That type of thing absolutely happens in draft season, a lot. I think overall this QB class has concerns but Young and Stroud are both solid prospects and worth taking a shot on in the top 5-10 picks. Levis and Richardson have upside but are big bust candidates too.
  6. 9th overall, 2024 1st, 2023 2nd (ours), 2023 3rd (49ers). Probably not any more than that and I don't think that would get it done. We'd be without our 1st next year (but hopefully it would be late with us making the playoffs with the boosts that Reich and Stroud give us in this crappy division). And this year we'd still have a 2nd round pick and a 4th and two 5ths. Not terrible...
  7. Might as well discuss trade possibilities. The question isn't if we make a trade, it's when and for who. With us being legit contenders and sitting on a bunch of cap space with Patches on LTIR we will 100% make some moves to fill that cap space. I think it'll be something like McCabe and maybe Toews or O'Reilly without us having to give up a ton, but I wouldn't rule out a bigger move for a Larkin/Meier/etc. I have a feeling whatever trade we make will be a bit out of left field. No one expected Tro, Skjei, Vatanen, Domi until they were announced basically. We may decide we mostly like our group but we wouldn't let that cap space go to waste. If we're not adding players I could see us accumulating some picks by retaining as a 3rd team on other deadline trades. Kinda like Florida did for us/CBJ on the Domi trade last year.
  8. Kind of, it was announced they hired him but then he came out and said he hadn't decided yet
  9. lol what? He was here like 15 years and had 3 drafts where he grabbed an elite player at one of those positions. He still sucked, and only reason we got Cam was because of how bad we were in 2010 not because Hurney was some great GM. But yes that 2011 draft which was a disaster outside of round 1 was still an incredibly successful draft for the team just by getting Cam.
  10. not if it's an elite player at one of the most important positions (pass rusher, LT, QB)
  11. If all we get out of last year's draft is a stud franchise LT who can keep our future rookie/young franchise QB upright his entire career, then it's a damn good draft for us. So far Ickey looks like he fits the part there, still need to see some development from him but can't complain at all about his rookie year.
  12. Wings are best when you have a healthy 50/50 mix of drums and flats
  13. Lamar has let the Ravens down by being injured come playoff time the last 2 years. His impact on the field is questionable whether he's even on the level of top tier guys like Mahomes and Allen. And not only will we be making him the highest paid QB in the league, we'd be giving the Ravens multiple first round picks on top of that. Trying to trade for Lamar is just a flat out terrible idea. We need a legit QB on a rookie deal.
  14. I’d put money on him pulling a Favre and un-retiring again…
  15. Lord forgive me for I have sinned (advocating for us to get Payton). I will repent by rooting hard against that douche and his douchy QB in douchver. fug that team and fug that dude hard.
  16. My only post: Not sure what I was getting at... Probably the spectacle of it. Which if I remember right, it was pretty over the top and more show than substance.
  17. For comparison: https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/161781-rhule-press-conference-wednesday/#comments
  18. Great news. Now let's knock OC and DC out of the park
  19. Stroud because I think Young will be more expensive to get and while he's also a great prospect I don't see him as being better than Stroud. Would be happy with either though. I was higher on Levis before but don't care for him at 9 now. Richardson in the 2nd sure, not at 9.
  20. Remember when we were worried about having to pay Cam $25M/year? Now Daniel fuging Jones is gonna get 40. Crazy
  21. I'm done guys but you can keep pooing me and mentioning me if you'd like. I've got my reasons for disliking the Bengals/Burrow and yeah I took it way over the top, heat of the moment and all. sorry
  22. The Chiefs missing like 7 impact players with Mahomes playing on a high ankle sprain and everyone sucking off Burrow who has Chase and Higgins. Just hilarious. Everyone in this thread was wrong, Burrow is a choking loser had the chance to win it and couldn't.
