He carved out a relatively amazing career for his size as a CB. Always liked Captain
-
Jones is trash for sure but I wouldn’t use GOAT coach as an argument. Mac did have some of the worst offensive coaching I’ve ever seen last season
-
lol at Hooker in the same tier as Young but otherwise the order isn't too far off. But yeah give us Stroud and I'm happy, so he missed on Corral whatever, Stroud is legit.
-
I bet the Panthers are better than the Vikings this year and going forward.
-
BPA, should be able to get a really good player at 39.
-
Panthers still have $23.5M in cap space

Looks like he took a decent sized pay cut -
Why are people upset with the contract? He’s still better than guys like Lazard, JuJu and Meyers and making less than them.
-
Let’s fuging goooo! Stroud gonna revive his career here. 1200 yards 13 TDs in year 1 here
-
Is Landry even still in the league?

Marc Ryan - "Carolina Zeroed in on Stroud and Richardson"

You’d be surprised. It’s misinformation season and everyone everywhere is trying to get a tiny leg up on other teams with a grasp of accurate information, and I do think teams get spooked out by certain reports/tweets, or at least are aware of them and trying to figure out what other teams’ plans are. -
MJ in talks to sell majority stake of Hornets

why? lots of minority owners are just waiting in line to become majority owners when a team goes up for sale. Tepper was a steelers minority owner for a long time waiting to buy a team. -

Best Hornets news in years. Winning the lottery or at least moving up to 2 to get Scoot would top it. Jordan great player but it literally could not get worse as an owner, what a mess he's made with this team since he bought. -
That and his mom dying totally ruined his career. Really a bummer. He was a stud in the playoffs his rookie year too, was going off against the prime legion of boom
-
It’s a wonder what Cam did that year leading us to the playoffs and a near road upset of the Aints. Granted we did have Olsen and pretty elite RBs but still.

Maybe, we'll see how it plays out but I think they've got a lot of bidders and are holding firm on their price. Chiefs/Patriots/etc. have all been linked to him. I also think the Cards can wait until after the draft to trade him to a team who strikes out on WR and use that leverage. I honestly think with Stroud/Young, Hopkins, Chark, all our other signings, BPA at 39 along with this coaching staff will have us ready to contend this year, so that 2nd rounder in 2024 could be pretty late. Also our 3rd this year is from the Niners and is a very late 3rd, NOT our early 3rd as we already gave that up to move up for Corral (ugh). I don't think that's too much to give up for a bonafide #1 WR.
-
He had 700 yards in 9 games last year with poor QB play, he's still 100% a bonafide top tier WR1 and I can't see him getting traded for less than that even with his contract situation. And for the purpose of putting weapons around our rookie QB I would pay that. I understand the hesitation though.
-
Sign Chark, trade 2nd rounder next year and 3rd this year for Hopkins, draft Stroud 1st overall then BPA at 39 this year and man we're fuging sitting pretty in the somewhat weak NFC. Could be rookie QBs starting Conference Championship games in back to back years here

Depth Chart as of 3/16/23 (The way I see it, for now)
t96 replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
We just re-worked Shaq's contract so he's staying here. And his size really isn't an issue for 3-4 ILB. Chinn is small but he's a playmaker near the LoS and we'll find somewhere to put him where he'll have way more success than he has had the past couple years miscast as a FS. -

Looking at this we really need some OL depth. We had to cut Pat but man is it bare behind our starting 5. Our starting 5 is incredible and I'm thrilled about it but especially with BC and Corbett coming off somewhat serious injuries we need some depth. Mays is fine but the other 2 are not. Wonder if we bring back Erving, we could do much worse for backup OT than him and he should come cheap. -
Big Board & Pick 39: Offensive Skill Player Rankings
t96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nice post, I haven't dug into prospects outside the QBs yet but plan to in the next few weeks. I think someone who is generally a top 30 guy will fall to us, prefer WR with the Hurst signing but of course will take a TE too if he's BPA. So no I don't think we need to give up more picks and force the issue with a trade up. 39 should be a good spot to add an exciting weapon. -
I'm hopeful of this being the case but also we need to start seeing results before he deserves any praise. His first 5 years or so have been one of the worst among any owners in all of pro sports.
-
I mean yeah he got a fully guaranteed contract of course the dead cap is insane if they cut him. not sure what is new here though
-
Can’t see us agreeing to that and with a new head coach we can’t be forced to do it
-
Anything can happen but Greg's start to his career was much better than Hurst's (especially considering the eras) and Greg was 26 his first year here, Hurst will be 30 in August.
