  1. I’d take a conditional 7th in 2030 that becomes a 6th if he’s still in the league that year.
  2. Nah he just sucks our line wasn’t even that terrible last year. Not good but not so bad that it would break an otherwise good QB
  3. Tepper truly deserves all the hate he can get. He's the man in charge of this disaster of a team and unless things turn around he can be hated on for anything and everything.
  4. Last snap probably not. Dalton isn't exactly Mr. Durable these days. I don't think he starts another game for us though. If Dalton goes down, Bryce relieves him then a different QB starts next game(s) if an extended absence for Dalton.
  5. Yeah and although not at QB they've had an absurd amount of elite NFL talent come out of there.
  6. This is a silly narrative. I wanted Stroud and hate Tepper as much as the next guy, and we never should've traded up at all in that draft. However, Bryce was unanimously a top prospect and by nearly all accounts if he was bigger would've been seen as a near generational prospect. This is not just a Panthers failure but a failure by pretty much all NFL scouts/media/fans/etc. that were high on him coming out of college. The biggest (only?) knock on him coming out of college was size and oddly enough that really hasn't been an issue whatsoever. I do not buy the narrative that he can't see over the line or that his issues reading the field are due to size. Kyler, Brees, Wilson, etc. have had no issues with that being similar size. The transition from college to NFL is just impossible to completely predict. He clearly isn't cut out for the NFL and it sucks but nobody was "gaslit."
  7. Yes we are all rejoicing not having to watch the midget play, and yes he deserves the Eric Cartman treatment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTcGDIJPYcc But let's snap back to reality here. We were outscored by 60 (SIXTY) points in weeks 1 and 2. Average 30 point loss. Maybe Dalton helps us shave off 20 of those points, I'd consider that a huge success. Still an average 10 point loss. This team still sucks. Don't try to kill reality:
  8. I don't agree it's "much better." Bryce has been absolutely god awful, but the D has also allowed the most points in the league and as bad as Bryce is there has not been a single bright spot from the offense around him. OL is yet to be seen, yes I saw the stat on pressures but it paints an incomplete picture considering Bryce panic checkdowns so quickly. I'm not sold on Canales' scheme yet either. We will know much more following Sunday's game with Dalton starting. This year's team might be better than last year, but I'm not convinced yet.
  9. Maybe, we'll see. I think this would be much more likely if Dalton and Young were competing for the starting job from day 1 of the offseason (which Dalton would've won and then he could build chemistry with our new OL and receivers, of which we have many). And while I have nothing against Dalton, if we had gone into this offseason viewing Young as a guy competing for a job and not a guy being handed the job we could have a better option to go to, or start with -- a Minshew, Darnold type.
  10. Hopefully somewhere else if so.
  11. There was definitely a mandate from Tepper for Canales to start Young and hand him the job from day 1. I think Tepper saw enough in the first 2 games and finally said fug it do what you want. However now we're crippled because the offseason was approached with that "salvage Bryce" mandate.
  12. If we could guarantee we get another team within 5 years, then yeah I’m 100% for this.
  13. Yes we’ve been saying this for years. Need Tepper to hire an established consulting firm to hire the leaders of football ops and the only thing Tepper should do is open his wallet and sit on his fat rich ass in his box and watch the team. It’s not gonna happen ever though. His ego is bigger than Jerry Jones’.
  14. Idk man, CJ here would definitely be much better than Bryce but last year we still probably don’t win any more than 5-6 games, and CJ wouldn’t be anywhere near OROY. Reich just was not a good HC. I’m basing that mostly on his Indy tenure and I didn’t want him when we hired him either, so Tepper/Bryce have very little to do with it.
  15. WOW! Seriously though, well-respected doesn't mean you're a good HC. I always viewed Reich as an offensive version of Rivera. Rivera actually has a better win % than him. Reich only made the playoffs with Luck and Rivers (Rivers was obviously at the end of his career but still a legit above average starting QB) never with "garbage QB play." Look, don't get me wrong, Tepper made Reich's job here wayyyyyy harder, but Reich was never a great coach and it was so stupid to go with a retread hire at the time, especially him.
  16. Dude he was part of the problem for sure. Maybe hamstrung by Tepper forcing his hand on certain things, but even with Bryce being terrible, Reich did an awful job last year too and wasn't even that good for the Colts. It was a bad hire from day 1.
  17. As a fan I never want to see the dude suit up for us again, not even as a 3rd string benchwarmer. HOWEVER, at this point just play him the rest of the year, secure 1st overall in 2025 then release him. No point in having Dalton try to win a few games to push us to like 8 overall.
  18. Nah the goal isn't to win, and Bryce is an easy path to the 1st overall pick in 2025. I bet we see him play unless he gets injured, no matter how bad he continues to be.
  19. Yeah I’d send him anywhere he wants to go. Back to MN would be fun for all involved. Get a 3rd or 4th round pick back
  20. I’d say yes if his last name wasn’t a commonly used word. T ebow obviously is never used in any other context but “young” is used a lot
  21. When do we play the Steelers again? Need TJ Watt to pay us back for what he did to Cam by taking out Bryce for us. Bryce should never play another snap for this team, but Canales clearly has a mandate from tepper
  22. I don’t think he’s trying to be hands off at all, personally.
  23. that was always such a ridiculous argument against Cam. He’d be at like 59% but with 8ypa and some other QB would be 61% with like 6.5ypa and they’d say poo like “anything less than 60% sucks.” In Bryce’s case, I don’t give a poo if he completes 100% of his passes if they are all 2 yards or less lol. I can’t fathom how bad this dude is. YPA is probably the best single measure for a QB in my eyes and he’s by far the worst in the league in that measure last year and so far this year
