  1. I do it for those other picks if we are legitimately 100% undecided between Stroud/Young. If we like one even slightly better just take him and call it a victory. If we really like Stroud and are convinced Texans are on Young that's another possibility but a very risky one if the Texans fool us and take our guy Stroud instead.
  2. Yeah the massive Bryce info campaign of late only happens for 1 of 2 reasons. Either Panthers last ditch effort to get Texans to move up and get us some more picks while we still get our guy Stroud or it's the team getting fans ready for the pick. I think the trade down is unlikely and we're probably locked in on Bryce at this point. All the other smoke up to this point was random and all over the place but the targeted Bryce campaign feels different and like there is fire behind it.
  3. I bet Corral is traded after the draft to a team who missed out on QB
  4. Intriguing and seems like he'd be great value at 39. Would be nice to get another weapon for the rook at QB but still think the best thing is to just go BPA there regardless of positions as there will be a great player there whether it's WR, TE, DE, CB, whatever. Absolutely don't want to trade up because we get tunnel vision on some weapon. Only exception to that is if we take Stroud and his boy Jaxon slips a bit to where we could get him for somewhat reasonable value.
  5. I hope I never have to hear about the S2 again after the draft
  6. Good, those reports about him being like that Texans douche were very concerning. Dude was a PR/communications guy for 15 years then is all of a sudden qualified to be promoted to "VP of football ops"??? That was very sketchy.
  7. Yeah obviously bro but also just like every year you'll still have the same people going crazy about it, that's why it happens. Because the drama sells. It's like a soap opera for dudes and the NFL and media make a killing off of it.
  8. Pre-draft Shenanigans. I still think nobody knows a damn thing at all. 50/50 Young/Stroud. AR/Levis not realistically in play and never were. I think we have our mind made up already but it's anyone's best guess.
  9. And still a third of the snaps are under center. Still need your QB to be able to do that… not saying Bryce can’t, he didn’t at Bama but that’s just the offense they run. On the staff to evaluate without the film proving he can, and I trust them to do just that
  10. It'll be $350 for me doing it early, I don't have youtube tv and am not signing up, already pay a crap ton for cable. It's a drop in the bucket at the end of the day for me, really more about the principle. I get it, supply and demand and people (myself included) will pay what they're charging but it's a big fug you to the fans to not offer an alternative cable package (not everyone can or wants to stream) and a single team package for out of market fans. It's a mild step in the right direction since directv was even less accessible for most people but still a failure to take care of the fans in my opinion. And yes I was spending more at the bars, wasn't happy about it but at the time it was my only real option. I think once I got the directv streaming set up a few years ago it was like $100 or $150 a year, that's much more reasonable (granted I was leaching off a relative's status as a college student which not only allowed the streaming package but also the discount). I don't really watch other games or do fantasy football any more. Maybe if the Panthers get really good again with the new staff and QB I'll get more into it and start watching division rivals, etc. but I kinda doubt it. I've just found better stuff to do with my time than watch other teams' games, with the exception of some primetime games which I get anyways.
  11. the funny thing is just like with politics there are very few radical Bryce or Stroud supporters here, some of them are very vocal but most people are more in the middle and would be fine with either of them and recognize both of their strengths and weaknesses.
  12. So overpriced to watch 17 fuging games but as an out of market fan it's that or going to a bar every Sunday (which I did for years before getting directv sunday ticket streaming using a college enrolled family member's email). Really was hoping they'd open it up to have the streaming package AND adding cable packages (like the NHL and NBA do). $350 is absurd. At least offer a single team option for like $100 but nope they have to be a bunch of pricks
  13. We had a ton of the cap tied up in him so I absolutely count him as a big loss.
  14. Lol what? How? Our cap, core and prospect situation are all in phenomenal shape for long term sustained success. We didn’t overpay for rentals like other teams have. We lost our 2 best goal scorers to injury late in the season, what the hell do you expect?
  15. The good thing is now I have zero expectations for the playoffs and if we get swept I won’t even be disappointed just indifferent. Next season we’ll be healthy and hopefully have some offseason upgrades.
  16. Yeah completely uninteresting and worthless for insight into Bryce. I usually like the Manning stuff but that was a joke
  17. Working out during this and was gonna throw the canes on but they suck so definitely watching this. Love the Mannings (despite the league’s bullshit to get P 1 more ring vs us)
  18. lol he was fuging terrible. that D and Payton carried that team.
  19. People bring this up a lot but I don't think it really means anything. We don't know how their relationship is with the agent. Just because Watson forced his way out and was a problem doesn't mean they blame the agent at all. They got a lot out of that trade, possibly with the agent's help working together to get it. We just don't know or have any real insight into that situation.
  20. The under-center snaps are a very fair concern with Bryce but it just brings up the question of why so few snaps? Because he's actually much worse at it? Unlikely. That's just what Alabama runs. So you have to figure out whether you think he can succeed under center. It's harder to evaluate without the sample size compared to Stroud who has already succeeded under center in a solid sample size, but it can still be evaluated and you just take that into account. I have always preferred Stroud and these stats obviously don't change that but they don't really give me any lesser of an opinion of Young. It's really not an easy choice at all and if we do take Young I wouldn't be worried about him under center, I'd trust the staff evaluated properly and that he can succeed there, even if he didn't have the opportunity to show it in college.
  21. My viewpoint has not changed at all the last 3-4 weeks. Stroud is my preference, but will be thrilled about either him or Young. AR/Levis are both hard passes for me dawg
  22. I'm not sure he lasts past Seattle as they just make so much sense for him but regardless he's not a 1st overall caliber prospect. Both Young and Stroud are. Would be completely stupid for us to take such a raw boom/bust guy at 1 but I do think he still goes high (not saying he should).
