Chiefs run the league and will continue to do so for at least 3-4 years -- their elite #1 defense has a ton of key contributors on rookie contracts which gives them the cap space to add some more WR help soon without really losing anyone and they'll be a real juggernaut. But that won't last forever and we need to be ready to compete/contend in 3-4 years when they have to start letting a lot of their talent walk and when Kelce/Reid will be much closer to retirement if not retiring at that point. So Tepper, don't interfere and let the new GM/HC do what they need to do to build this team up for that timing. If we suck the next 2 years it's completely fine as long as we are building the roster the right way and making strides. This is the exact time that Tepper needs to have real patience.

wasn't Purdy's TD to Jennings?
-
Kelce has surpassed Gronk as biggest goon out there

Honestly probably this entire decade will be. Especially if they threepeat for first time in NFL history.

He wasn't some random though, many had him as a 1st rounder, walterfootball (just an easy quick reference) had him 3rd behind Trubisky and Watson and had him projected 1st round. Also the story of the Chiefs' scouting on him has already come out to some degree. I'll see if I can find an article but Brett Veach before he was GM was scouting some Texas Tech OL and saw Mahomes and started pounding down everyone's door there to get him for a few years. Ultimately they listened to him and he got promoted to GM and the rest is history...

Purdy was okay, a bit better than I expected as I figured KC's D would force some really bad decisions/throws. Purdy was not asked to do much at all and had some missed throws but no turnovers and overall solid. He did impress me honestly, but he didn't do anything today to shed the game manager label.

Team stats when comparing players is extremely overrated. Mahomes passes the eye test of being clearly better than Brady and all of his stats per game are so significantly better than Brady. Brady has longevity and team stats, those are the only things. And Mahomes is coming for both of them...

Honestly, Wilks called a phenomenal first half, 2nd half and OT were a disaster though. Not that surprising though after seeing the Packers and Lions light them up and the 49ers barely squeaked by each of them

yeah with the way their D was playing you can't give the Chiefs the advantage of being able to go for it on every 4th down and also the pressure on their own D to prevent a TD once the ball is already in FG range. Posted just before OT that the winner of the coin toss should've deferred.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah Wilks fug you bitch
-
with that drive Mahomes seals 3rd SB MVP
-
MAHOMES GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Love that 4th down play call
-
Mahomes with as much time as he wants to get a TD to win it. Legacy establishing moment for him. also I may be wrong but I believe we are still the only team in NFL history to win in OT with 2 separate FGs (against the Luck-led Colts in 2015)
-
didn't even review it, these refs handing SF the game wow
-
NO CHANCE that's a catch
-
just terrible, man
-
fuging ref bullshit, my god
-
if Chiefs win in OT with a FG Butker is SB MVP right?
-
oh poo almost picked. WHY Kyle are you running an empty backfield on 1st down lol
-
as crazy as it sounds, with the way these defenses have been playing I'd consider choosing to kickoff instead of return.
-
not as big as NE/ATL coin flip since both teams are guaranteed a possession now. But yeah, huge coin flip.
-
Butker so calm and cool and collected. Man I miss him, we probably beat the Aints in 2017 with Butker instead of Gano in that playoff game.
-
Kelce!!! Bet they go right back to him on the next 2 plays and get in the endzone to win it. Wilks dude, rough rough last drive here

Love to see Jerick McKinnon back healthy going up against his old team. Impressed with how long he's lasted in this league despite significant injury history
