I was at training camp his rookie year and while everyone was gaggling on Luke and Cam, etc. I was talking to him a bit and asked him about playing in the slot. He had some rather choice words about that and was adamant he's an outside CB. Of course that was a while ago, but we know he has a bit of an attitude. Hope that if we do move him to the slot he takes it okay. Does anyone know if Bouye has ever played nickel? Because I could see that too, Donte really isn't that bad for a 2nd outside CB.

Yeah honestly, a top 10 pick is going to start day 1 unless it's a QB and you already have a bridge QB there. Of course he's day 1 starter.

I think the D will actually be great, this pick should help bolster the back end and our front 7 was already pretty fuging great frankly. It's just that you can't pass up Fields sitting there for a solid CB prospect. Excited about the D but unless Brady is a miracle worker with Darnold, we're gonna be in QB purgatory for a while now.

Yeah I'll trust the front office no matter what happens tonight and let it play out but I can't lie I'd be extremely disappointed if we pass up on Fields. If it's Lance sitting there, while I'd still like to take him, I'd be fine with passing him up, but Fields is the best QB prospect we're gonna have a chance at for a long time if you ask me. He's the clear #2 player in this draft behind TL in my eyes and we could actually have a chance at him falling to us and pass it up. Yeah in a trade down scenario where the team we trade with is getting a QB we need it to be a fleecing. These types of trades ALWAYS are at the time. We should be getting a future 1st, this year's 2nd and more frankly.
