  1. Shaq and Donte are both defensive starters.
  2. Not a fan of giving up our 2nd this year too. Make it 3rd this year and 2nd next year and I’d feel better about this deal.
  3. Not really, they have a ton of holes as it is. I highly highly doubt they get a Watt replacement in any Watson trade, regardless of whether it’s us or another team.
  4. He didn’t say 2 young defensive superstars... 2021 and 2022 1st rounders; 2022 and 2023 2nd rounders; Donte Jackson and Shaq Thompson
  5. If Cam is willing to be a clear-cut backup, Buffalo is a no brainer for both sides. But I’m sure he’d rather compete to start somewhere like Washington or Chicago.
  6. Watson ain’t approving a trade to Detroit. No chance of that.
  7. I wouldn’t say it confirms that at all. Less likely for sure but still possible they could draft a QB. Goff isn’t a franchise guy and I believe with the Rams still on the hook for most of the guarantees, the Lions could move on from him easily in a year or two.
  8. Melo is such a fuging stud. Our only hope.
  9. Goff’s contract is one of the worst in the league, half of that price is just to get rid of it, not just to get Stafford. It’s a lot but the Rams should be seen as a leading contender to win the NFC next year. HUGE upgrade over Goff and the rest of their roster is rock solid.
  10. Beautiful game so far. Let’s keep it up boys and come out of it with no more injuries. I hope Petr is okay but it didn’t look good...
  11. Malik Monk needs to be a key part of the rotation and I don’t want to trade him for anything.
  12. I don't think it's late stage yet, more middle stages. I'd be surprised if we were one of the 2-3 finalists for Stafford. There's still a week before the SB, that is a ton of time for this to move along closer to a deal within the reported timeframe.
  13. Didn’t EB work under Frank Reich? NEVERMIND just looked it up Reich only worked under Pederson not Andy Reid...
  14. The way it was handled I think is the main issue. They reportedly weren't very transparent with Cam...
  15. Yeah I think if Deshaun did talk to Cam about Carolina, Cam would just tell it like it is 100%. Of course he wasn't happy with how it ended here but at the end of the day both these guys know it's a business. Cam doesn't seem to be the type to harbor ill will towards Tepper.
  16. They look like losers regardless, frankly. That'll be the case until they start winning, whether that's with or without Watson. At this point their best way to start winning would be by trading Watson and committing to build the team the way the new GM and HC want to with no distractions.
  17. Anyone think Watson could ask Eric Reid about Carolina? We know he's really into social justice and all that jazz, and Tepper is the only one who took a shot on Reid, allowed the kneeling and is a very socially aware person, especially when compared to all the other owners. Could Watson call Eric up about coming here, and advise him to? Just something else to think about
  18. And the next headline: Nick Caserio’s comments suggest door is open for a Deshaun Watson trade https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/29/nick-caserios-comments-suggest-door-is-open-for-a-deshaun-watson-trade/
  19. I haven't disputed any of that -- I said "I doubt that'll happen but it's not impossible" in regards to Watson forcing his way here.
  20. If he takes a hard stance that he will only play for the Carolina Panthers and he'll hold out until he can do that, what choice do they have? Call his bluff and screw themselves and get nothing just to spite him? I doubt that'll happen but it's not impossible.
  21. Honestly not sure I'd call that a huge fleece depending on the circumstances surrounding Watson's interest in other teams. If he only wants to go to Carolina and his 100% solidly locked into that then that would actually be a reasonable return for the Texans I think. #8 overall has a lot of value, another 1st and then Donte who despite the inconsistency is a young high potential player at an extremely important position.
