  1. I don’t think he’s coming back but this picture doesn’t really mean anything... Gronk looked relatively tiny for a period of time during his retirement. It’s not that hard for these guys to get back into game shape if they want to. Luke doesn’t seem the type to change his mind though, he’s more like Sanders, Megatron, Luck, etc. than Gronk or Favre
  2. Yes please, in a heartbeat. He has been one of the best, most consistent LTs in the league since like his 2nd year and will likely come at a slight discount due to his injury. Worth betting on him bouncing back if you ask me.
  3. They don't really have much to show for it though. 1 SB win (that was gifted to them after katrina) with an all time great QB and above average HC... They were mediocre until that historic 2017 draft saved their asses and even still they haven't been back to the SB since then.
  4. I think a deal along the lines of 4 years $48M with a significant amount guaranteed could be good for both sides. Maybe less total money than he wants but guarantees can outweigh that and since it's only 4 years he can cash in again while still in his prime at 30. A lot for us to pay but could be much worse and it's a shorter deal too so that helps alleviate the risk if his play drops off at some point in the future.
  5. Yeah I'd prefer a rookie (Fields ideally) but I'm not adamantly against going for Watson, just depends on the price. If we do make the trade, even if we pay way more than I'd like, I'd still be absolutely pumped and excited for the future having an elite QB here and I'd just have to hope Rhule and Fits can make it work to build around him with less assets. Either way the meltdown here on both sides would be a sight to see...
  6. The Huddle will crash forever if we actually woke up to news of a Watson trade.
  7. Considering we play them just 3x a year in normal years, that record can't be right... But I would think our record against them has been pretty damn good lately, they haven't been good before this year and even now that they are good we're 3-0-1 against them...
  8. Good, unless it's an intentional smokescreen, then bad
  9. You can get NHL All Access pass for like $80 I think -- gives you streaming access to every NHL game that isn't blacked out (nationally televised or local games). If you're in the Carolinas my understanding is a VPN can easily get around the black out issue, but I've never used a VPN so have no idea what to do for that. I'm out of state and have NHL Center Ice through comcast which also gives me the all access streaming and it's great. Get the games on tv at home and whenever I'm travelling I watch on my iPad and it works extremely well, highly recommended and pretty inexpensive
  10. Easily my favorite QB option for us at this point. I like Wilson and Lance too, but I honestly do believe that as prospects Fields is closer to the Lawrence tier than the Wilson/Lance tier. This guy is going to be an absolute stud. People want Watson, but this guy could essentially be Watson on a rookie deal for us and costing much less. I hope we make it happen, even if we likely have to trade up to 2/3 to get him.
  11. I actually really like having a top WR who has absolutely zero diva qualities whatsoever. They are few and far between in this league.
  12. When your QB throws 1 TD per game it's hard to put up TDs... Also, while TDs factor in they're hardly the only important stat. Look at Julio's TD numbers, nobody would argue he isn't one of the best wideouts in the game since he came into the league yet his TD numbers are quite pedestrian. Yards put you in a position for the team to score TDs.
  13. He hasn't missed any games this year. And has easily been our best D man.
  14. Dude don't scare me like that I clicked this thread expecting some actual terrible news
  15. I don't follow Lonzo or the Pelicans much so I may be wrong but I thought Lonzo was considered an elite wing defender... And he's been shooting extremely well lately, one of the best from 3 in the last month or so on a bunch of attempts. Maybe it's just a hot streak but based on the little that I have seen, I think that would be a great fit next to Melo, plus it'd never hurt to have even more length and rebounding ability at guard. Does Lonzo really need to have the ball in his hands? People thought the same about Terry and he's been a great SG this year. As for whether I'd want him, it depends on what we'd have to give up, I'm guessing he'll net the Pelicans a fairly sizable haul. I like Rozier and would probably prefer we just stick with him, plus our depth is great with Graham and Monk so we don't really have a big need for an upgrade at guard right now. It would certainly be interesting. If we got Lonzo and were competing for (or winning) championships with the Ball brothers we'd probably become one of the most hated teams in the league as Lavar would likely be going off on how great they are together, etc. I'd love that.
  16. I don't think he's gotten that slow, plus we don't need a super fast and athletic field stretching TE, we already have that in our receivers and McCaffrey. Rudolph offers the main thing we don't have on offense and that's a big possession target and red zone threat. Don't need speed to box a guy out in the end zone...
  17. Not super well, he’s a capable blocker but has always been more of a pass catcher. Great red zone threat but hasn’t been utilized well in that role in MN. If the price was right I’d be all for it, and I do think that the price could wind up being right. I don’t see him having a huge market frankly.
  18. Where the pick is this year doesn't matter one bit if the overall value is equal. If the overall value is equal, the Texans can trade up to the top 3 if they want with other assets we would send in a trade. Plus, I'm not sure why the Texans are in such a rush to get a QB if they do trade Watson. If they don't replace Watson with a capable starter they will be a lock for 1st overall next year and then will have Howell and a crap ton of draft capital/young players from the Watson haul and would be looking pretty good going forward. Yeah next year would suck for them but it'd be a quick turnaround from there. I don't think us picking 8th this year factors in at all except that it means we'll have to offer more in the total package, but we've already known this thanks to the whiners bringing up the Washington win every other thread...
  19. The Ball to Bridges alley oops are gonna frigging bring the house down, especially if well timed late in competitive games. I don't live in the area otherwise I'd be looking at tickets too
  20. McCown is more likely to retire than Smith. He’s 41.
  21. This thread would be better if it was about Alex Smith.
  22. Yeah give Ned those two then ease Mrazek in a bit slowly and if Ned continues to prove himself roll those 2 guys and phase Reims out a bit until they struggle
  23. Ned’s looking good lately. With Reimer struggling we should ride Ned for a bit see if he can keep up this momentum
