  1. fuging 2nd rounder is retarded, even if it is next year. Upgrade on Teddy and an intriguing flyer but not for a 2nd rounder ++ more.
  2. Lucas Wallmark was waived by Chicago today, I'd definitely consider bringing him back now to slot in for McGinn while he's out and upgrade 4C going forward.
  3. You can't compare raw volume stats directly like that, they are in 2 tremendously different situations. Look at their ratings and rushing stats too.
  4. It's conceivable that a team would want to trade up for Sewell, getting ahead of the Bengals...
  5. Lance's skillset and intangibles are right there with Fields and his production in his 1 year as a starter was definitely amazing and up there with Fields. The issue though is that season was 2 years ago now and it's a small sample size against worse competition. Lance very well could end up being better than Fields, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. But he's also got a pretty high chance of busting, which Fields doesn't have. It's a no brainer, especially since Fields' ceiling is easily as high as Lance's, if not higher.
  6. Yeah, let alone Mac fuging Jones... I'm taking Fields over anyone in this draft not named Trevor Lawrence, and it's really not even close to me. I really really like Wilson and Lance too, but Fields is clearly above them. I can't believe that it's actually possible that we can get Fields with 3 QBs going ahead of him...
  7. Brutal. He hasn't been great lately but still this is such a huge loss with Melo and Monk already out. Wannamaker and the twins gonna be playing huge minutes... Gotta hope some combo of Rozier, Graham, PJ and Bridges can step up big time and keep us afloat for the next month or so. Then if we can at least get into the playoffs we could be fully healthy by that time and could maybe compete depending on the matchup. Nets/76ers would really suck, will be tough for us to hold onto a top 6 seed, but I won't rule anything out with this team. This is pretty much the same team at this point that was having success down the stretch last year, so I won't give up hope completely.
  8. How does this team blowout the Pacers with Brad fuging Wannamaker playing big minutes, yet get blown out by the Nets without Harden/Durant the night before when only missing Melo...? Good win, hope we can take down the Celtics Sunday and give ourselves a bit more cushion even while short handed, but I don’t have my hopes too high. May try to get tickets for that one
  9. Bro I don’t know the details that’s just what I read
  10. I think 1 claimed he forced a BJ, but the others were more along the lines of indecent exposure/harassment rather than assault/rape. Either way not good if true...
  11. Now we can start to see if there’s any evidence. Good development.
  12. Don't be fooled by the sack stats. Burns has been an absolute game changer on the field for us and has nearly singlehandedly won us some games. He's definitely already great, better than CJ ever was at his peak. Peppers is a top 5-10 all time pass rusher so sure it's not necessarily likely he gets to that level (especially with longevity) but he absolutely has that potential.
  13. It depends. If Sewell or Slater are there at 8 and all the QBs gone I wouldn't want to trade down. If the top guys are gone already then sure trade back.
  14. Ehh, teams are desperate for QBs and he definitely does still have potential. He's shown more than Rosen did and Rosen fetched 2nd and 5th, granted the circumstances aren't exactly the same, but I think a conditional 3rd a year out is a reasonable price and that some teams may be willing to be in that ball park for him. Maybe not, and if not great it'd be nice to sign him for free. We'll see soon enough.
  15. I wouldn’t do it for this year’s 3rd. Maybe 2022 3rd with it being conditional
  16. That really depends on if other teams may be looking to move up for him, what Atlanta/Detroit think of him, etc. I don't think it'd necessarily be enormous. Hell, I don't even think it's a guarantee he goes before 8 like I used to. His stock has clearly been dropping a bit compared to the other QBs. If you told me a month or two ago that 3 QBs would go before Fields, I'd think you were a moron. Now the way things have trended, I'd be surprised if he's taken in the top 3. Jets seem locked in on Wilson and most are convinced that the Niners want Jones or Lance (could be a smokescreen but seems unlikely at this point). You can't compare the Niners/Dolphins trade to any potential trade we'd make to move up. Moving up from 8 to 5, 6, or 7 is a lot different than moving up to 3 from 12...
  17. Trade up for Fields with our 2nd and maybe some other future day 2 or 3 picks. If we can get Fields while not giving up any 1sts I'd be thrilled.
  18. Yeah I’d be cool with that, not sure how much he has left but if it’s cheap enough there really isn’t much risk
  19. Even when the smart thing for them actually indirectly helps us?
  20. I think they were saying he could be back even before then, my best bet is we'll get him back for a handful of regular season games and he'll be more or less back up to speed by the playoffs -- just gotta make sure we get in, ideally as a 6 seed or better but if not then 7 or 8 so we have very favorable play-in chances.
  21. We need to extend DJ ASAP, especially if we are going to draft a QB who can chuck the ball or somehow get Watson if he's cleared (unlikely). Moore would easily put up 1500+ yards with a more aggressive QB, need to lock him up before his stats warrant being the highest paid WR in the league at the time of his contract.
  22. If you have an absurdly good roster or absurdly good coach then game manager will do just fine, but a gunslinger who doesn't turn the ball over too much would always be better if you ask me.
  23. Chinn will be the QB of our D
  24. I was going to make a thread quoting a recent PFF article, but it fits in here too so I'll just put it here... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/29/kyle-shanahan-on-scouting-mac-jones-you-dont-have-to-hide-as-much-drafting-third/ This is so blatantly obvious to me that they're taking Jones, based on how he answered the questions. With system fits, it's gotta be Lawrence, Wilson and Jones as their top 3, with the first 2 almost certain to be gone.
  25. Cam would likely be a hall of famer even if he retired after 2019 due to injuries, his peak was that impressive and his rushing stats and overall impact on the field when he was healthy here were historic. When you have a hall of fame QB on your team who was 1st overall pick, essentially singlehandedly changed the outlook of the franchise from day 1 and was the face of the franchise for nearly a decade, that deserves getting a number retired.
