We were tied for 25th or so last year, haven't really lost much and gained a ton in FA and the draft... Darnold is the question mark but even if he sucks I think we're good enough to be in the middle of the pack... If he can turn his career around we're a playoff team easily. Glad people are sleeping on us.

Time to stop looking forward and start watching our a$$
t96 replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Charlotte Hornets
I'm ok with a play-in round no matter what the outcome winds up being. We'll always wonder what could have been if not for the injuries this year but it is what it is. We either win in the play-in round and make the playoffs which will give our young guys some important playoff experience even if there's no realistic chance we'd beat the Nets or Sixers or we lose in the play-in round and hopefully get another high pick for Mitch to hit on giving us some more young talent here. Either way I think our future is extremely bright, with a chance to actually make some noise in the playoffs as soon as next year. -
Donte Jackson for Stephon Gilmore - Who says no?

Like when we got screwed by trading Kony Ealy to move up to grab Moton...? -
Round 6 (B) Shi Smith - WR - S. Carolina
t96 replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Looks like it. Good pick. -
That is such a pitiful 1st round track record, no surprise though. Belichick is the GOAT coach (and a cheater) but not a good GM. Certainly not a good drafter.

So which LT do you want us to draft tomorrow in round 2?
t96 replied to Agent Blue's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know anything about any of these guys but I don't want another LT named Little, that's for sure. -
He plays like it too... total bust
-
Is there a source or is this your speculation?

This can only happen if Fields winds up not being a franchise QB. If he's a franchise QB (which there's a pretty damn solid chance of) then even if Horn becomes the best CB in the league it would've been dumb to pass up Fields.
-
He's definitely helped them but I'd argue that 2 other picks in that draft were significantly more important for their recent success than Lattimore -- Ramczyk and Kamara. Also, Williams and Hendrickson were great picks too. That entire draft class from them was just absurd. Honestly, value-wise Lattimore may have been one of their worse picks that draft...

Horn already labeled a Day 1 Starter by the Panthers
t96 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was at training camp his rookie year and while everyone was gaggling on Luke and Cam, etc. I was talking to him a bit and asked him about playing in the slot. He had some rather choice words about that and was adamant he's an outside CB. Of course that was a while ago, but we know he has a bit of an attitude. Hope that if we do move him to the slot he takes it okay. Does anyone know if Bouye has ever played nickel? Because I could see that too, Donte really isn't that bad for a 2nd outside CB. -

Yeah honestly, a top 10 pick is going to start day 1 unless it's a QB and you already have a bridge QB there. Of course he's day 1 starter. -
Three straight years of defense in the first round.

I think the D will actually be great, this pick should help bolster the back end and our front 7 was already pretty fuging great frankly. It's just that you can't pass up Fields sitting there for a solid CB prospect. Excited about the D but unless Brady is a miracle worker with Darnold, we're gonna be in QB purgatory for a while now. -
Wow Cowboys traded with their division rival.

Well at least it wasn't Jones...

LOL yep commercial time for our pick, AS EXPECTED
-
Until Sewell and Fields are both sitting there and we take Jones...
-
Hopefully it's a wideout
-
Howard, Ebron, Hurst, maybe Hockenson, etc. So many high TEs that never came close to living up to expectations. Just stupid for ATL but great for us.

Yeah they absolutely should've. Best player available and at the most important position for them (since they have their QB). I think they're gonna look back on that one with some serious regret. And I do like Chase and think he'll be great there.
