  1. Line was good there, receivers couldn’t get open...
  2. Been busy all day and haven’t read any reports so far, getting ready to tune into the game but can someone give me the skinny on which starters we’re expected to play and for how long?
  3. I would not be the least bit surprised if we have a better record than the Colts this year.
  4. Not putting a ton of stock in preseason, but our 2s did outplay the Colts’ 2s (and some of their starters I believe)... Pretty ridiculous to suggest we could be “5 years behind them.”
  5. Lol I guarantee we won’t be a bottom 6 team. No chance of that.
  6. I think he’s earned a roster spot. But still plenty of time for things to change...
  7. For those questioning the relevance, he would be a big loss for them if he misses week 1 against us.
  8. Unless his play completely falls off, it's a fair value deal, not a steal but not an overpay either. I do like Terry but I don't see him being a core player for a championship team here. As long as he keeps performing though, he'll still be a very valuable trade asset in 2-3 years. Happy that we locked him up.
  9. Is this supposed to be some stupid joke about him tying his shoe? Or did something actually happen to Haynes having nothing to do with the picture?
  10. Scot, we're not mind readers here. Make that clear in your post. All your post said was: "If we never again trade away a future first rounder, that won't bother me at all." And this entire thread is about upgrading LT by trade, trading up in a draft is completely out of context and irrelevant here.
  11. Here is what your post I replied to said: I'm not sure what Marty or trading for established players have to do with my initial response... And the context of this discussion was potentially trading for Duane Brown, who is an "established player." My point was, don't get too comfortable having 1st round picks every year with Fitterer here, he may very well start trading some of them away like the Hawks did a ton while he was there.
  12. Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham, Jamal Adams, etc.
  13. You may have to prepare yourself mentally for it to happen though... How many straight years did the Hawks trade away their first round pick, like 7?
  14. I recall the same being said about Andrew Whitworth... Depending on what we'd have to give up I still think it could be an intriguing option. Could even slowly groom Moton to take over on the left side once he retired/moved on and then have Christensen at RT.
  15. That's a bang bang play, I don't think that would draw a flag. Even if we were playing one of the darling teams.
  16. I'm not making claims that we're going to be great this year and it'll be all sunshine and roses. There have been positives and negatives to takeaway from this offseason so far but I'm not going to make any assumptions about how the season is going to go based on how we look in practice. It's silly. Practices (and joint practices in particular) serve many different purposes and coaches have a plan about how to go about it and positive results don't always show up in things we as fans or that media can see. There is so much more to these practices than meets the eye and people get way too worked up about "winning or losing" against the Ravens, Colts, etc. when that really doesn't factor in much at all. 2015 really was the perfect example of this. Nobody here thought there was any chance at all based on how training camp and preseason went that we'd have any real shot at competing. We were coming off a losing season (albeit one that came with a playoff win...) and on paper had no reason to think we would be better. Our starters looked like complete trash in the joint practices and preseason games they played. Yet we dominated our way to 15-1 and a SB appearance (with an unfortunate choke, but still a tremendously successful season overall). There's just no reason to read into it like you are and make up your mind that we won't be able to compete against playoff teams. The point is we still have no idea. Why be negative about it now?
  17. Use your brain man, wow, what a useless response.
  18. We played our starters in the preseason that year. They were thoroughly outplayed by Miami and New England in that preseason.
  19. It's not a comparison. It's a clear example of a team looking like trash in practice and it not mattering. We also looked like trash in joint practices in 2015 before our SB run. Practices and preseason are not at all indicative of how good a team will be, so to make statements about how good the team is based on it is ridiculous.
  20. Lol, it's practice. I wouldn't read anything into it at all. The Patriots have done a lot of joint practices in the last 2 decades and had plenty where they've looked like crap and obviously still had success in actual games.
  21. Are all our starters going to play against the Ravens and if so, for how long?
