  1. So he turned it around in Vegas, nice for him. We signed him and he showed up to camp out of shape, unvaccinated and all around just a general distraction while not looking like he'd offer anything on the field. We got a pick for the cap space which was already sunk anyways, the trade was completely fine. We've made plenty of terrible moves lately, this isn't one of them. He was going to be cut based on his behavior in training camp anyways.
  2. Actually it’s Tepper. Our OL in 2018 was okay
  3. Remember when our record under Rivera in December was right up there with like Reid and Belichick... I miss those days of being clutch down the stretch.
  4. It was a waste of cap space ultimately. Not because Cam didn't help us but because by the time we brought him in we were well past the point of being saved. Compounding terrible decisions (Teddy, Sam) with bad decisions (Cam due to timing) has been our modus operandi at the QB position under this regime. The team actually thought Cam would make us a playoff team. And that is a flat out embarrassing lack of awareness from the organization. And with our season done now all the Cam signing did was waste more cap space on the QB position. It was fun initially and I'm glad Cam came home but for the ultimate goal of building this team up to being a championship team, it was not a good move.
  5. We've lost like 5-6 games to really bad teams. We'd be entrenched in the playoffs if this were true, even if we weren't a real contender and couldn't beat good teams. Such a waste of a season
  6. Yep. It's frigging unbelievable. The guys who are a part of winning teams in this league don't make excuses or cry about getting booed. They'll be the first to say they deserve the booing and need to get better. Such a joke of a team from top to bottom.
  7. I never want to see Sam on the field for the Panthers again as it makes me want to fuging puke. But I don't think that playing Cam or PJ has any purpose whatsoever at this point and maybe Sam could put some more good film out there helping us get rid of him easier. Doubtful and it probably doesn't matter as none of the 3 are in our future though.
  8. For the past few weeks I have been multitasking while watching the game in the background, not concerned if I happen to miss a few plays. I won't miss a game unless I have some specific conflict of importance but yeah I try to make better use of my time than just watching the games once the team sucks like this. When the team is good I'm pissed when I miss a play.
  9. Not surprising considering his slender build but I don't think I've ever seen Robby catch a contested pass like that or hang on through the contact. Smitty, despite being a half foot shorter than Robby, would've come down with that pass every single time. Just another reason we shouldn't have given Robby that contract in hindsight.
  10. Cam adding to his Hall of Fame rushing TD numbers. Nice run
  11. Teams were interested in him as a HC after last season so of course he has plenty of interest despite a rough go of it this year. I still think he can be a bright offensive coach in this league but he has a long way to go. Hope he doesn't go back to NO.
  12. You know what guys. I've given up on the season and had been thinking we should just lose out for draft position and for coaching staff changes, but screw that there's no QBs we need to tank for in this draft and we can get one even if we're middle of the pack. I want back to back fuging winning seasons so I'm rooting for 9-8 at least so that next year that milestone is possible.
  13. Whatever coach we get will need a QB to succeed here. Carroll has at least proven he can have consistent, sustained success in this league AND win a championship.
  14. If Carroll is out of Seattle and doesn't retire I want him here. Proven track record.
  15. I believe Detroit is still technically mathematically alive for a playoff spot... so no we’re not close to being mathematically eliminated yet
  16. I disagree. There are plenty of moves we've made that have indicated rebuild the past 2 years. Other than QB which is a unique situation we also haven't brought in any high priced FAs which is what teams looking to contend immediately do. The real big issue is that half the moves we're making are for a rebuild and the other half of the moves are to compete/contend now, along with just completely mismanaging the QB position. Our moves conflict with each other and just create a jumbled mess with big holes and then players/cap hits on the team that don't line up with our timeline and also a dearth of draft capital for a team that should be rebuilding. Also, I actually don't think our roster is that bad, I think it's actually pretty close. D isn't 100% set but it's easily good enough to contend if our offense and QB were better. The offense has been more of a mess than it ever was under Shula (granted he had prime Cam for most of his years). OL and QB are really the only big holes, and yes those are massive holes. Coaching is the bigger issue than the roster right now as they've looked completely lost the last month+ for the most part.
  17. Just throwing this out there but be prepared for it... As the smoke blows away in the coming years, there's a chance Gruden is given another chance in this league. And there's a chance it could be Tepper giving him that chance.
  18. I'd still give Rhule the start of next year but with a very short leash. Even if we were to lose out this year (which we likely will, and should).
  19. Aints have an elite coach in play and their D is solid. I think our roster has more potential/upside and is closer but coaching is 100% in their favor right now unfortunately. If the Aints landed Wilson or Rodgers I think they'd be immediate contenders. Really hope they can't do that but reports are that they'll try.
  20. @Jeremy Igo can we please set up the Huddle to change Taysom Hill to Taylor Hillsom. Like The Golden Calf of Bristol
  21. Taylor Hillsom is his real name.
  22. Realistically none of those make sense for us. Watson is either a risk of not playing or if he's cleared the price is way too high for a team with as many holes as we have. Only chance would be if Texans would consider McCaffrey a core piece in the trade and we'd be open to moving him. Unlikely on both counts. Cousins isn't that great yet is getting paid as a top QB and he really does not fit our timeline. Wilson and Rodgers don't fit our timeline and will want to go to contenders. Jimmy G sucks, maybe I'd consider him for relatively cheap as a stopgap if he's cut, but wouldn't give up any assets for him or take him on his current deal.
