This concerns me about as much as Dez to the Aints did a few years ago. There’s a reason he was still unsigned at this point in the off-season…

I went with a Ranger with the Tremor package, also waiting for warranty to run out to tune it. I was surprised by how much juice this little truck has… thought about a regular f-150 but the ranger was much cheaper than a similarly spec’d 150 and I can live with a mid size for a few more years at least. Will probably keep it as a fun truck anyways when I need something bigger

Same, was in the market for a new truck last year and wanted a Raptor but had no interest in paying MSRP +10-20k on an already overprice truck and waiting for it too. Great truck, have a few buddies with them, but not worth the cost unless you have money to blow. Obviously Shaq can more than afford it lol

Raptor's are a different "F-150 group..." the 1%

WalterFootball... High on the Panthers for the NFC?
t96 replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well considering we've seemed to be very good/competitive for like the last 4 years in September/early October I'd say we need more time than that to determine anything. I'm still pretty shook by how absurdly bad we've been in the 2nd half of seasons the last 4 years. Just embarrassing season collapses after getting our hopes up. -
Vikings Wire writer taking potshots at Panthers
t96 replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lol what have the Vikings done with Cousins to be in a position to trash talk any team in the league. I'd take Baker at $5M over Cousins at his cap hit 100 times out of 100. Darnold was a mistake as was Teddy. Neither was as big or long term of a mistake though as Cousins in MN. They are stuck in purgatory with him. -
Baker Mayfield and Scott Fitterer presser today at noon.
t96 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Such a shame, Tepper needs to stay hands off and trust his GM & HC. If he can't trust them (Rhule) then replace them (let Fitterer hire a HC). -

Headline implied they'd be on at the same time which would be weird. Sounds like they are back to back -
I really wanted to but unfortunately don't think I'll make it this year, just incredibly busy the next month or so. If I was local I'd be there but just can't fit a trip from Boston in this year. Last time I went was 2018, had a blast then hanging out with the Riot and still having some hope for the season after a solid 2017 and Shula being fired. Little did I know what the next 4 years would look like... Hopefully it's still at Wofford next year and we're coming off a successful season, that'll probably get me out there again.

People are reading WAY too much into this. It's a scouting report based solely on their college tape. Baker has already shown to be a lot better in the NFL than McAdoo thought he would be and if Ben didn't want him at this point I highly doubt Baker would be here right now. Plenty of coaches/scouts opinions will change on players after they've seen them in the NFL and plenty of them are significantly wrong on their college scouting reports.

Henderson was a top 10 pick by JAX we traded for last year, it cost us a mid rounder but we didn't draft him there... I'm optimistic about his future with Wilks coaching him and he's young with insane upside, but he was not that good last year in my opinion. Horn is an absolute stud and I think will be the best corner we've ever had. Hopefully no more injuries for him. Jackson is underrated and a very good #2 across from Horn. Chinn back at SS should be a stud difference maker. I like the Woods signing but FS is still a bit of a weak spot. We're paying him as a fringe starter/backup so I don't expect him to be a world beater back there. Fortunately we probably won't need him to be. Depth at CB if any of our top 3 get hurt is a bit of a concern too. Otherwise yeah I really like our secondary this year.

So what happens with Darnold if Baker is the starter
t96 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Darnold offers us $18M worth of value to our roster right now? LOL If Mayfield is lost for the season the absolute best choice for the team is playing Corral, period. If Baker goes down we're fuged with Darnold, and he's gone after the season anyways. There is no point at all in keeping him as a backup. We're probably fuged with Corral too but there's at least a chance we may not be and we'll at least get to see what we have in him, which is particularly important for the period past "right now." -

Lol, get off your high horse Scot. What value does Darnold really offer to the roster right now? Vets who are "better" than rookies get cut by winning teams all the time. Opening up room for Corral to get practice reps makes way more sense than keeping Sam as a backup. The cost is 100% sunk, the extra roster spot could easily be worth cutting him too. Sam is going into his 5th year and coming off the worst season of his career so far, he is what he is and that is something that offers us absolutely nothing of value with where this team is right now. -
I'm not a big PFF fan but they had him as the 10th best QB going into last season. And last season the dude played through like 3 or 4 different significant injuries. I'm not counting on him to be our savior and he absolutely has his issues but he does have the potential to be a solid 2nd/3rd tier starter... https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-quarterback-rankings-all-32-starters-ahead-of-the-2021-nfl-season

Outside of like the first month or so Sam was easily as bad as PJ most of last year. At least PJ can offer something as a runner and will take shots downfield. They are both awful. Personally, I'd cut Darnold today. He's not even a good backup, already a sunk cost and could become a distraction (not him personally whining or anything like that, just having him on the roster). Hand the team to Baker 100% for this year with Corral backing up and developing behind him. PJ to practice squad or cut. No reason to have 3 QBs on the roster. -
These people are going to be very surprised this year. The more I think about it the more I see how methodically this team has been built by Fitterer. OL could very well be truly dominant this year, and a healthy McCaffrey and Baker probably gives us our best offense since 2015. The D has been solid under Snow, will only be better if the offense can finally sustain drives to keep them off the field. Yes Rhule is still a concern but the team looks way better on paper than these guys give credit for.

Went from a 3 to a 5. There's still not a ton to be excited about this season. Loved the Icky pick but LTs aren't sexy and often not impact players in year 1. Also loved the Corral pick but reality is the odds of him contributing at all in year 1 are extremely low. We still have Rhule who is a big concern and some concerns on defense. McCaffrey's health and Baker's play are the two wildcards, if both turn out as we hope I could see us being a wildcard playoff team which would be awesome but it's just still very hard to get excited about this team more than a 5 right now. Maybe if the last 4 years hadn't been so terrible. Also those past 4 years will make it hard for me to get excited even if we start the season off hot as we are now accustomed to collapses in the 2nd half of the season. Would not surprise me at all to start the season like 5-1 with Baker dominating only to see us finish 7-10. The team has not earned the benefit of the doubt in any regard since Tepper took over as owner, so they'll need to prove it to me before I start really getting excited.
-
This guy literally won a playoff game for the Cleveland Browns... The same Cleveland Browns who had like 30 starting QBs in the last 20 years. A million times better than Darnold and for just $5M and a conditional 5th. Phenomenal trade. Now just cut Sam and roll with Baker and Corral. No phony bullshit "competition" with Sam.
-
Luvu has a massive opportunity ahead of him and showed out great in limited snaps last year. I'm not completely sold on it happening but I think he's a good bet to break out big time in a starting role. Also as mentioned, Horn is an obvious candidate although I kinda think he already broke out as a rookie before the injury. He was absolutely dominant and lockdown from day 1.
-
Hornets should cut ties with Bridges entirely and just move on, no point waiting around at this point honestly. Will just be a distraction, even if he does wind up being "innocent." I'd go after Ayton in a sign and trade and just give him the max. Try to get rid of Hayward and/or Oubre along with picks. Build around a young core of LaMelo, PJ, Ayton, Williams, maybe Bouknight/Kai if they can step up this year. Keep Cody around, sign Kemba to backup and mentor Melo. PG: LaMelo, Kemba SG: Rozier, Bouknight, Cody SF: PJ, Hayward/Oubre/other PF: Ayton, Kai C : Williams, Plumlee/Richards A lot would be dependent on the young guys' development but I could see that being a playoff team.

The latest betting odds on KD's next team had 16 teams on it -- the Hornets were not one of them.

Would love it but no chance he'd want to come here, or that we could offer the Nets enough to get him.
