2021 QB1 Stat Predictions (BleacherReport)
DeSim replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
If our line is average, that stat line is definitely the floor. Can't wait for the season. -
What about the bubble butt boys.
-
Would be nice if he turned out like Greg Hardy, just talent wise/draft value of course. Also, it mentioned we did not address the position further in free agency or in the draft...didn’t we sign DeQuan Jones and draft another DT with our last pick?

What are your bold predictions for the upcoming season?
DeSim replied to Gipetto's topic in Carolina Panthers
Matt Amendola beats out Joey Slye and proceeds to kick the game winning FG in superbowl 56. -
I wouldn’t mind taking another WR with our next pick, but one who plays in the slot. Someone like Amonra St. Brown or Marquez Stevenson. But whatever happens, based on the draft so far and how well it’s going imo, I trust the staff to make the perfect decision.

He could, but it’s a pass for me, don’t want to spend a draft pick on a player that would bring a bunch of negative media attention after that sickening act. As an undrafted free agent, maybe.

Tommy Tremble, TE out of Notre Dame. He's a very unselfish player, best blocking TE in the draft who has lined up at FB at times. He has very nice hands and is definitely a pretty good athlete as well. He did not produce much for Notre Dame in his 2 years there and that's mostly because of being behind guys like Cole Kmet who has 43rd overall last year and this year being behind the STUD freshman TE, Michael Mayer. The potential is definitely there for Tommy, the blocking is already set in place, he has the measurables, athletic, and nice hands...he just now needs to produce. Him being an unselfish player, he will be patient enough and put in the work that he needs to put in, in order to develop and reach his potential. I would definitely love it if we selected him in the third round, I don't think there's any way he lasts until day 3 of the draft. It would not surprise me one bit if he becomes a George Kittle type of player by his 2nd year.

As I mentioned in another thread... My ideal scenario for the first 2 rounds would be to select Slater and another offensive lineman in the second round who can play both T and G positions (Jenkins/Leatherwood), just like Slater. Let both battle it out for the LT spot and the loser plays inside. I would also be happy with a trade down if it’s with the Eagles or Cowboys. I seen talks this morning that the Eagles are trying to trade up to secure Patrick Surtain, having to leapfrog Denver and Dallas (Giants are ahead of them but they’re not a threat to pick a CB). If this rumor is true, and the Cowboys also really want Surtain, Dallas might get in a bid against Philly to trade up with us. If we trade with Dallas, pretty good chance we still are able to get Slater. Trading down with Philly i’d say is 50/50 that Slater is still there, but Christian Darrisaw would definitely be available. Man...tonight is going to be fun to watch.

Well, i’ll just go ahead and name then, look away if you’re still trying to figure it on your own... 1. Hunter Cantwell (to be fair, he was picked up as a UDFA) 2. Tony Pike. One of the 3 QBs we picked in that draft. Other 2 being Jimmy and Armanti Edwards.
-
A QB (not named Mac Jones) or OT at #8 and i’ll be happy. My ideal scenario for the first 2 rounds would be to select Slater and another offensive lineman in the second round who can play both T and G positions (Jenkins/Leatherwood), just like Slater. Let both battle it out for the LT spot and the loser plays inside.

FUG YEAH. FINALLY. Being able to get something back for Teddy, I instantly give the staff a W for the offseason.
-
For the first one, you mentioned the school he went to in your previous post. Second one, he was picked in same draft is Jimmy.
-
Can’t forget these 2 goats.
-
My guess is that if a QB throws a pass, then gets batted back by a defensive player, and the QB catches the ball back behind the line of scrimmage, he cannot throw it again.
-
...lol.
-
First ballot HOF.
-
He will not be on the roster for the upcoming season. He will be cut if they can't trade him.
-
I would go to BoA stadium and headbutt all panther statues for 24 hours.

I love you Juan

Colin Cowherd: Matt Kalil and Sam Darnold

Are You Really Against Fields or Lance if they fall to #8...
DeSim replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
You have to take either of them if they're there. Best case scenario is if you pick up Sam's 5th year option and he balls out this year, he can be traded easily next offseason since his value is way up and in a favorable contract for a starting QB ($18M I believe?). Get a haul of picks to build around the QB that was drafted and that spent a year learning. You then have extra picks, extra cash to build through free agency and the draft while your QB is on his rookie contract. -
No Pitts? Slater gone? Pene off the board?
DeSim replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
If all those players are gone by the time we pick, it means either Justin Fields or Trey Lance is available (Mac Jones too but big no to him) OR Jamar Chase. If it’s this situation, i’d try to trade down and if we can’t (Would find it hard to do so since at least one team will be trying to grab that QB)...We have to go QB or Jamar Chase. With top 10 pick you have to go with potential franchise QB or BPA that has elite talent. -
Yes, I would love to double dip with Slater and Jenkins but I don’t think he’ll get past Green Bay at the 29th pick. It would take a trade up with the Ravens at 27 (Saints have 28th, no way to doing deals with them). But you never know, I also said no way Yetur Gross-Matos reaches the 2nd round and it happened.
