  1. I do not like the ominous shape that your Prediction made. That's bad juju right there
  2. U missed my point, probably due to my failure to articulate. I'm referring to size and speed. They're saying Strong has the same concentration issues when securing the catch at times as well. Their draft profiles are very similar and both projected 2nd rounders, and of course Hill was. Bottom line is who really knows. I just really want Hill to come through for us, I'm rooting for him
  3. Sometimes, the answer is already in the roster. I personally see no difference between him and Stephen Hill. Btw, Strong has been slipping on all the latest mocks. I'm sure that there's a reason for it
  4. Oh what do you know, no actual update on us talking to him again, just as I had suspected
  5. Excellent post by Woodie, and for it he gets pie and best answer. Congrats Woodie, on winning teh interwebs today! He's my pick at 25, although I like Perriman better because of his size. I don't think Perriman is there though, and sadly on draft day I think Dorsett is gone by 25, which gives our FO a reprieve from making that tough choice. Sadly, I think we go OT, which is needed, but not flashy. Let's be honest, that's the safe status quo pick. IMO, picking Dorsett would be bold, yet no one could argue it. He fills a desperate hole that will have this O clicking for a very very long time. Really looking fwd to Day 1 of the draft this year. I foresee some trades and some surprises. #CantWait
  6. Oh look, another "look at me" thread. Dude, do you really think that you really just educated anyone? I bet that you seriously do, and that's the worst part. When drafting a WR in the NFL speed doesn't matter guys. Keep right on listening to a guy that proclaims himself as awesome. Pffff your arrogant tone makes me want to puke
  7. I like Perriman more. I don't think that Perriman is available at 25 though, I'm just hoping Dorsett is there. If he's not then we get a beast OT for the future. I'm not a big fan of any of the other receivers to be honest.
  8. Same height/weight of several players doesn't equal the same body type? Good night Sir
  9. Is Stewart not a 3rd down back either? How about Williams? McCoy? How about Demarco Murray, is he a 3rd down back? Be careful as to how you respond, because all those backs are the same height and within 10 lbs of another. I really hate it when people "act" like they know what they're talking about, and they don't. On the other hand, I know nothing about Buck other than he's out of USC. I could read a scouting report on him but why bother? A scouting report doesn't tell you what your eyes have seen following a player for 3 years. I digress
  10. I will be so pissed if he's not there at 25. If he's there at 25 and we go OT I'm gonna lost my poo.
  11. For those of you not in the know, Duke Johnson is highly regarded as one of, if not, the best RBs at The ||_|| We're not talking about slouch RBs either, we're talking Willis McGahee, Lamar Miller, Frank Gore, Clinton Portis and Edgerrin James. Those are just the recent guys too, without reaching back too far. For former RBs to say that this kid has the potential to be the best out of the bunch speaks volumes. I personally can't see any RB be as durable as Gore. That guy is an aberration. For those of you calling Duke Johnson a scat back, have you ever watched him play? A "scat back" doesn't set a school rushing yard record by dancing around bros. He runs with an attitude and he is not to be denied. He's 5'9" and weighs 210. That's a stout dude right? You want a real pro comparison? You're gonna laugh though. DeAngelo Williams. Williams is 5'9" 215 and ran a 4.44, Johnson ran the same today and is 5 lbs lighter. Wait, you may be saying, you mean we can draft Williams' replacement, our Franchise's leading rusher in this years draft? Unlike Williams who was selected in the 1st rnd. It's too good to be true right? get rid of an aging Williams, and offload that contract, and get a fresh version of him. He's got Williams' quickness with Stews nasty get the fug off me attitude. That's the best way I can put it. He's also been getting Leshawn McCoy comparisons as well. As for the other guy Panthro, I couldn't tell you much. Whoever drafts this guy will be set at the position for years to come. He's a star Edit: one more thing, he ran all those yds with 8 in the box knowing he was running it. I don't know if you know or not, but Miami hasn't had a real QB in quite some time until this year. Duke Johnson pretty much was our offense.
  12. If we don't get him at 25, he will be gone in the 2nd. Has meetings or has had meetings with Falcons, Saints, and Dolphins thus far. All of whom pick well before us in the 2nd. I don't think there's any chance we go RB in the 1st anymore like some have speculated. This kid has elite speed and great ball skills. I think he's the pick at 25. If not, then oh well. I will just have to watch him ball out on another team.
  13. The only concern I have if we take him at all, is Cam throwing it over his head, and even then, I think he and Smitty did more than alright and they're the same size.
  14. Good question, how fast can any of these players run in pads?
  15. You've done well proving our point. The writing is obviously on the wall, if they're failing to see it it's on them.
  16. My judgement is not clouded whatsoever. I never compared the two at all and couldnt care less about Austin. Even if you were right, which you're definitely not, and Dorsett was only a one trick pony, teams knew this and game planned for it. That means he smoked CBs in this years 1st round, and they knew he was only a "vertical threat" Also, you and I can disagree all day, but there was a lot of talent on that Miami team, and nobody can help how he was utilized. For you to try to undervalue him based off of your own comparisons when the tape and metrics are there, you're right, the conversation between us should be over.
  17. Gettleman Jack, did that article say zero drops, official sub 4.3, and good routes? Wow, if only the media had jumped on his bandwagon earlier, then maybe everyone else here would actually know who he was.
  18. To answer your question, there's only 1 player on your list that I would take ahead of him and that's Perriman. He likely won't be on the board either by then. Even then, we essentially already have a Perriman in Benjamin. Me personally, I want someone who can truly stretch the field and take the doubles off of KB. Picture this if you will: KB Olsen Dorsett And here's the wild card Hill/Brown/Boykin Tell me who the hell you double!?
  19. At least somebody here has my back! I've been warning you all for weeks that his stock would rise significantly after the pro day.
  20. Like I said, Desean Jackson is the true comparison for Dorsett Edit: FYI Smitty is 5'9" and 195, Dorsett is only 10 lbs lighter and could easily put that on as he's still a kid. Dorsett lacks that Smitty fire though, so that's where the comparisons stop.
  21. Dude, what are you talking about? I've been watching college ball for a long long time, Dorsett is the real deal. Your comparisons of him are completely off base. His pro comparison is Desean Jackson, and not TY or Cooks, although I can see why the comparisons are drawn. Desean Jackson has been pretty successful with the same skill set. If you're going to try and convince people by comparing him to pro players, at least throw a name out there that garners such a comparison. Finally, I don't honestly see us landing the kid as much as I want him! Here's why. He's not going to be a player with the highest grade when we pick in the first. There's no way in hell he's still there in the 2nd when we pick. If he is still there in the 2nd then we got a hell of a steal! Why we should consider picking him at 25: - we have several WRs with great speed who already fit the bill of the new age WR at 6'2" and above. For that reason I don't see us going with another big target at WR. I think in this case, that player is "already on the roster". -we should pick him at 25 because this is a need! It's what we've been lacking for awhile now. He's fast and has fantastic hands! I say we get him at 25 to make our O dynamic, but that's the homer in me, although I believe my logic behind the voice is sound. I just don't see this FO grabbing him at 25. Therefore, as much as I truly want him, and we truly need him, he'll be gone by the time we pick in the 2nd.
  22. How are his hands they ask? His hands are teh amazing! He's as clutch as they come when you need a 3rd down conversion. He played against CBs projected to go in the 1st and smoked them. I would absolutely love it if we are fortunate enough for him to be there in the second, but I don't think he will be. The mocks have him and Duke Johnson on the board much further down than I think both will be taken. There has been 0 buzz surrounding either if them, but mark my words, they will both be highly successful at the next level. You've been hearing that from me for weeks though.
  23. Told you guys. He ran an unofficial sub 4.3 at The ||_|| pro day Edit:4.25
