IDK he could probably train some dogs to catch pretty well...and imagine trying to tackle a golden retriever. Maybe he's onto something...Air Bud goes NFL?

My appetite for trading for a QB at this point, given who we can get (including Minshew), is low but if we really need to go that route I suppose he's the most palatable option left on the table. What do I *think* will happen? They will go OL at 6, we will ride Darnold this year for worse or slightly-less-worse, then look to add a QB for the following season. Then again my Magic 8-ball is apparently broken so who knows...as long as we don't end up with Jimmy G I will probably not bitch too much about it. I do hope, at least, that they are wary of adding a QB who will only be good enough to land us in the middle of the pack without any real room for growth thereby locking us into future trades to upgrade the position.

I'm not sure his being terrible is the worst case scenario. Given his history that's probably the *best* case scenario b/c we're more likely to be able to draft one next year out of a (supposedly) good class. Worst case? He's just mediocre enough to put us drafting in the middle-back after his one year deal. This seems more likely to me. No thanks.

"Still very average" implying they were anything close to average before?

I didn't expect to have any sort of feeling towards Matt Ryan other than "fug that guy" for the remainder of my natural life. But the Falcons (and for the same reason the Browns) are just dicks. I mean damn. I guess at least give them credit for having balls they need to push around in a wheelbarrow but wow.

Day 5:
-
Can we just name tomorrow's thread "This is a song that never ends"?
-
Eh - some of really do not care what happens one way or another but the ride is fun.
-
I really hope so - this has made my work week infinitely more entertaining.
-
-
And then deleted it. Keep up sir.

There are some people in this thread (all four parts of it) who probably, in school, found out they weren't someone's absolute best friend then punched that person in the face and started yelling 'why do you hate me?!?!'. Christ guys.

...nevermind. It's him again isn't it...

Can we just talk for a minute about how silly it is to believe that they left that meeting thinking he wanted the Saints then went and told someone who was gonna immediately leak it while the process was still playing out and there's a chance at the outcome they want? Like everything any talking head has said to this point it's speculation from...someone. For the record I'm of the opinion he's not going to choose to come here, not sitting around trying to talk myself into holding onto a thread. It's just this mindset of "if it's good and it's about us or bad and about someone else it's poo...reverse that and it's gospel" is mind-numbing.

Hey - don't try to take posts away from the Watson Thread juggernaut.
-
Ya know - after catching up on the roller coaster just now - there are some wild assumptions being made about the process in Houston right now as well. It is perfectly possible that Houston told Watson he's free to set up meetings and to give them a set of teams for which he would play (not one team) then they will decide which offer to accept. It's further possible they've already told him they are willing to sit him again if he doesn't produce a team with an adequate offer given that there's a Houston radio guy saying they're willing to do exactly that. They are clearly exercising some control of the situation given they didn't even let Indy talk to him. This is, clearly, just as speculative as it is to assume that Watson will be allowed to do literally whatever he wants with whomever he wants (except Indy) and Houston will accept it. Some perspective adjustment could be in order. Maybe.

Hey I'm just trying to get a feel for where the boundaries are for making a scene on the way out the door so I know when to get my feather boa and loin cloth for my own exit performance whenever I get a wild hair. Just to clarify though - as long as the reprehensible behavior happened before you were a fan of the team / old enough to care it's cool. All I needed - thanks. Edit because I forgot a question!! Since the Panthers are doing everything they can do to acquire the player should the clear intent to bring him here not damn them in your eyes anyway? If I were you I'd make my exit now - that indignation shouldn't hinge on what *Watson* does...but on the team. They very clearly intend to sign him.
