  1. Does he know Sam contributed to that low first round hit rate lmao
  2. That’s where I would have us if Mono boy and all our picks bust. Realistically I think we’re closer to league average. Maybe 18 or so. Last year I bet on the under for our win total of 5.5. After our draft, I bet on the over of 7.5. So much of our success hinges on Danrold. I think more likely than not our supporting cast makes him look average or so, but in reality he’s a bust and not very good, with or without help. Hopefully fields doesnt ball out...
  3. 2 weeks ago if I asked this sub would you want to draft a long snapper everyone would’ve said f no they grow on trees. People would probably suggest that a kicker would have more impact if they wanted a STer. But now, ohhohoho, now that we’ve drafted one! Quick! Everyone take a bunch of drugs, shots, and whatever tf else you need to convince yourself a LS was a good pick. Hilarious. I also love the argument that, had we not used a 6th on one, then whatever LS we ended up with would be brain dead and fumble every snap. Hilarious
  4. Lolol. Cam and Greg both got hit with media PR bs from the team, but of course it’s all cams fault. And hypothetically, even if cam did want a contract extension, that would be a really fuging stupid reason to cut the guy. “Oh, you want to stay here? Well, guess what, we’re cutting your mvp ass. I mean, letting you seek a trade, since we just told the media you’re demanding to be traded. Ps, my farts don’t stink.”
  5. Luckily you don’t exactly have to be at your athletic peak to play LS
  6. Not really tho. That assumes we couldn’t still cut Jj while drafting his replacement in the 7th or signing a UFA. Most teams don’t draft long snappers and most teams have 0 snapping issues. This idea that if we didn’t draft a LS then we would have constant snapping issues the next 5 years is so strange to me. And again, there were other talent like smith, terry, Washington, etc that were projected to go way higher that we could’ve taken a shot on. If one of those guys hits, then they would actually contribute to the team’s success, unlike a long snapper
  7. So I guess just fug Jj Jansen then right? He’s a bad fit in the locker room? This good locker room stuff is so overblown. We had a fantastic locker room and culture with Ron and he was fired. Then team leaders were fired. We had a shot to grab a guy who was a projected day 2 pick with medical concerns that would make a real impact and chose to draft a long snapper instead. That’s awesome he’s a “good guy” tho. Based off a phone call and a few conversations with him at the sr bowl lol. Just like Watson was a “good guy” until it came out he was a serial sexual assaulter
  8. Lol this is the dumb poo that had people loving teddy. The highlights of the draft were the players picked. You know, the ones that will actually play? 90% of prospects react the same way when drafted and actually add value to the team. Verge should’ve just called the pick an F instead of camouflaging the grade as “long snapper”
  9. Yup, he did. He sat out his sophomore year to undergo blood thinning treatment. It worked and he played the following year. But apparently a long snapper was more Valuable than a dominant OL with health concerns
  10. Sure, but that’s not what Rhule said. He said “his guys” (not entirely sure what that means but would presume fitts and co) valued a 3rd this year as a future 2nd. You seem to be saying the opposite (which I would agree with)
  11. Sure, I agree each draft class isn’t equal, so why is the concept that the current class is always more valuable than the future class? Sounds like we’re on the same page, it should vary from year to year
  12. Someone can correct me, but since when is zylstra some special teams ace? Omar bayless had a much better camp and then got injured. If he’s back to 100% he’s got a much higher ceiling than zylstra
  13. People have been saying this for a while, and conceptually it makes no sense. If I had to guess, someone got drunk and ran with the logic behind the time value of money principle. You get your value quicker in the current year, but unless you’re just that bad at drafting, the value you’re getting will be worse. Give me a future 2 over a current 3 anytime
  14. Absolutely absurd we took a fuging long snapper over Trey smith. Over anyone, really. Ludicrous
  15. Not drafting a qb just means they understand non 1st round qbs have an extremely low hit rate. People want to talk about early qb hit rates and then bring up an outlier like brady, but in reality, late round qbs almost never work out where as first round qbs actually have a legit shot. So, super happy we didn’t waste a mid to late pick on a qb
  16. Well Ron and hurney have already done more for fitzmagic too lol.
  17. Of course the guy being realistic gets pooed on here lol.
  18. I’m so lost on this Birkenstock thing lol
  19. Not sure what that means haha. I just meant, person likely only puts out what the team wants him to. JR likely still has contacts within our team and was transparent about it
  20. I think it’s funny jourdan rodrigue who used to work for the team said months ago we like field, but person who currently works for the team says no no no no and then finally yes.
  21. You forgot the “y”
  22. Someone has got to explain to me what the fug prior second round picks by a completely different regime have to do with our future hit rate.
  23. Lions have needs all across the board. I hope they go wr over an OT but sewell/ slater make a lot of sense for them too. As does trading down, etc. total wildcard team
  24. And no one would call you a great leader. All this does is speak to your character. Checking out would just cause more problems for your current coworkers whom you clearly don’t give a poo about. Good for you
