And now Brady's offense is putting up 3 points against the woeful Giants. Maybe he needs to follow Teddy out the building.
-
Should have stuck with Teddy and let him be the Bridge (heck it's in his name) until you find an upgrade at Qb. The offense would be able to play much more complimentary football with an improved defense, definitely would have a better record and still have our draft picks to boot. Total mismanagement.

When did you give up on Matt Rhule?
Pantherxtreme replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly once a team knows your offense can't move the ball or score they start calling the game differently taking shots that they may not have without the fear of a turnover or mistake costing them. You hold a team to 5 points at the half, they should be playing from behind not sitting comfortable with a lead. All the Giants needed to do is point 1 more score on the board and that game was practically over. -

The only two games you can say the defense hasn't played well enough to get us a win if we had a competent offense would be the Dallas game and to a lesser intent the Vikings. We were up 15-6 on the Eagles midway into the the 3rd quarter when our offense and special teams decided they wanted to play give away. The first 3 weeks the defense was putting up historic numbers, I don't think anyone expected that type of dominance to remain for the entirety of the season that would have put us statistically as the best defense of all time. What we needed was for our offense to step up and let our defense get after some folks but instead the last few weeks we've played defenses ranked much worse than our own and they have looked like the better defense on the field because our offense is just that inept. -
And when he does check it down it's an inaccurate ball where our receivers have to do a pirouette just to get their hands on the ball and the result is no YAC at all.

Defense held the Giants to 5 points at the half that's a baseball score. We went for it on 4th down at like our own 25 yard line and failed to convert you can't keep putting your defense in that position and think can win the game for you. -

We didn't expect the offense to look worse than it did a season ago when we legit had the pandemic as an excuse. Definitely didn't expect it to look like the worst in the league. -
Joe Brady and Donald making every defense we play look like the 85 bears.
-
PJ came in the game when we had to pass to get back in it. Easy for the defense to pin the ears back. I'm sure we would have scored more than 3 had he played the entire game. The Donald experience needs to be over.

Game is more than likely lost and Donald contributed greatly to the results. -

They can't that would mean they were wrong jettison Teddy and trading picks for Donald. I think they are going to go down with the ship. I say good riddance if that's the case. -
Lol at all the guys acting like the OP was insane for suggesting PJ. I mean how are we going to score 3 points in a whole half against the terrible Giants if Walker gets inserted into the lineup.
-
Teddy is a way better QB than this guy. Our offense wasn't this hapless last season. We actually did the ball just couldn't score enough Redzone TD's. This offense is a top 3 pick in the draft level bad.

3 points at the half. I wonder what excuses our "gunslinger" fans have for this game. If Rhule doesn't bring PJ out to start after half, I completely lost faith in this staff to be anything but bottom feeders. -
Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.

And that flash goes in both directions good and bad. -
Does anyone have any faith we beat the Giants?
Pantherxtreme replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Giants went into the Superdome and beat the Saints that's hard to do under any circumstance. They were missing both of their starting WR's. Not sure why it would be a shock for them to beat us at their home. With the way our offense is playing game is going to be close regardless, so game could go either way. -
Who’s the best head coach in Carolina Panthers history?

I'm sorry but if I'm starting a team with 2 players imho I'm taking prime Julius Peppers and a prime Steve Smith over a prime Newton and prime Kuechly -
No more retreads or reclamation projects at QB

He's also one of the quickest at getting the ball out his hands, so that alone can help an oline. -

I'll take Derek Carr in a heartbeat, his situation feels similar to Matthew Stafford languishing all those years in Detroit. -

I'm go with Rivera. In 2013 we won 10 or 11 games in a row. 2015 we won 15 in a row. We never had that type of sustained win streaks with Fox in a given season. I feel like injury to Steve Smith in 2004 derailed us from back 2 back winning seasons with Fox. I think Gettleman derailed our back 2 back winning season with Rivera in 2014 by gutting our entire receiving corp and depleting the secondary.
