  1. Hope you enjoy when they start charging for it in a year or two, then. Because that's way easier to do at BoA than Wofford.
  2. We didn't just draft a long snapper - we drafted a long snapper when our current one (JJ Jansen) is the best in the game and has been for over a decade now, hasn't retired, is not showing any interest in retiring, and hasn't shown any decline in quality (he has like one botched snap, ever, and I'm pretty sure it was a decade ago). We drafted a long snapper as a luxury pick and he not only didn't make the roster, he's not actually played a single game of professional football since.
  3. She's listed as part of team leadership, took an active role in the coaching hire process (the team was fined for this), and was the reason we traded for DJ Johnson.
  4. Yeah, this is the problem right here. It's the peak of narcissism to try and give your wife - someone who, apparently, has no experience in any sort of executive environment, let alone a football one - a major role in the organization.
  5. Yeah I’ve got no intentions of suffering through 14 years of no playoffs.
  6. All day, the Panthers looked great in an under-center set, with a strong running game. This is also where Bryce Young looked the best - shockingly, when you set up the run, you can actually open up the downfield. This shouldn't be too surprising, given this sort of offensive setup worked well for Steve Wilkes last year. Instead, throughout the game, at pivotal moments, we went to the pistol. It didn't work, and in most cases it was actually disastrous. This is most obvious in the idiotic decision to convert a 3rd and 1 out of a run in the pistol. Stuff like this has characterized the entire season, and I don't think it helps anyone. If the staff, and/or David Tepper, can just get off their high horse and get back to the power run system, we might get a win or two the rest of the season. It might not be "sexy" to run Chubba Hubbard up the middle, and it might look too much like Jerry Richardson football (something Tepper clearly just does not like) but it was absolutely winning us the game for a bit. Maybe even build on this next year instead of trying to rework this scheme into something the players clearly aren't fit for and that frankly wasn't resulting in wins. There's no need to get fancy - just like up under center and run the ball.
  7. People are frustrated. It's been 6 years of losing with no end in sight.
  8. You never know how good you had it until it's gone. We went from only a handful of sub-7 win seasons in our history to wishing for even a few.
  9. God, watching Cam after 2018 was just... sad. He had a few games that were just great, but his arm was shot. He gave it all for his team.
  10. To be fair, we had no answer for Michael Vick before Thomas Davis so I find it hard to count that, but yeah. I think they could have made a run in the NFC at least. People really tend to forget just how good Moose was that year, too. He led the entire league in yards and touchdowns outright and was 6th in receptions. Got shockingly close to a triple crown a year before Steve Smith got his.
  11. He cut all the linemen and receivers before 2014, then cut all the corners after 2015. Actual insanity.
  12. This is the first game I've been genuinely infuriated by scheming. Under-the-center worked all day. Pistol did not work at all, but they kept going to it. There was zero faith in Chubba despite him balling out. Literally just run the ball with Chubba under center, the Bucs couldn't stop it all day - it's not that hard.
  13. I still wonder what that 2004 team could have done in the playoffs. We had some real fight on the roster that year to overcome so much adversity.
  14. He's got Nick Goings vibes for me. Might be a one-hit wonder but I like his attitude and running style.
  15. I think his ceiling is probably Chad Pennington or Alex Smith at this point, yeah. And that's generous. He did have some flashes today at least.
  16. I think for me a lot of my dislike for Young's performance came from how conservative it was. Today wasn't that. I actually do blame the scheme a lot. Every time we went pistol the offense just ground to a halt. This offense did best under center and it's absurd they didn't trust Chubba to get one yard.
  17. Offense was confounding. Looked great under center, Chubba had a solid game, Bryce tried. Some of the playcalling was just... awful. Pistol formation needs to be scrapped from the playbook entirely, and they need to be more confident in running because Chubba is it.
  18. I was reasonably impressed by Bryce's composure. Bad decisions, sure, some bad throws. But actual flashes, which is what I wanted to see all year. Just throw this team into under-center looks for the last chunk of the season and focus on what worked today instead of the pistol nonsense that hasn't worked all year.
  19. He looked okay under center. That's a big part of what I wanted to see.
  20. Chubba is so, so good. Give this guy more carries. Been saying it for weeks. We've got a gem here.
