Bengals or Colts would be the most realistic options for an 'easy' win. I think we could beat both. In terms of satisfaction, beating the Patriots would be on top. Preferably we would play the Seahawks at some point before that.

The NFL is going about this the wrong way - if they want more two-point attempts, the solution is to make two-point attempts easier. That could be accomplished by moving the ball to the 1-yard line on all try attempts, and by requiring teams to attempt the try from the hash-mark where they scored from (similar to rugby). This would make it easier to score a two-point conversion, either off a fake or a regular play, and harder to get the extra point.

Fug me. Does anyone really want to see games decided by missed extra points?

We need to realize it would be impossible for Goodell to cede on most of theses punishments... he's accountable to all 32 owners, and the interests of 1 don't outweigh the interests of the rest. We knew the punishments given were much more harsh than expected, so I honestly wouldn't mind giving Brady a few games back. The organization got slammed and that is what matters.

That Other Panther Receiver....Jarrett Boykin

It's the huddle. Fast receivers always equal good ones. Like David Gettis and Drew Carter! -
I've had to eat crow so many times, but in 2011 I was against Cam Newton. I didn't want him to start and didn't think he would win, and I had what I felt were good reasons - that running QBs traditionally are not good, that one-hit wonders in college traditionally aren't good, and that read-option quarterbacks traditionally are not good. It took one game to change my mind - Arizona. He played better in that one game than I thought he ever could; as a pure passer, he looked excellent, and he almost never ran. I changed my mind right then and there, because my opinion was objectively wrong, right then and there, and it's a shame some other people haven't. Cam has had maybe the best first four years of any QB in league history, circumstances considered. We are privileged to witness such a special athlete.

In twenty years, what's your favorite win to date?

I'm surprised nobody has brought up "The Draw" yet. -
Steve Smith isn't Jesus. He's never claimed to be anything other than what he is.

I'd count 2002, 2007, and 2012 as well.

Regular season 915 receptions - 18th all-time (5th active) 13,262 receiving yards - 14th all-time (3rd active) 73 touchdowns - 33rd all time (5th active) 67.0 receiving yards per game - 32nd (19th active) 17,672 all-purpose yards - 10th all-time (1st active) 14.2 yards per touch - 18th all-time (3rd active) All on a run-first team, with one season as a return specialist (2001), another missed due to injury (2004) and another missed because of QB play (2010). Playoffs 59 receptions - 23rd all-time (6th active) 1,001 receiving yards - 13th all-time (3rd active) 11 touchdowns - 11th all-time (1st active) All with only 5 playoff seasons on run-first teams. All with only 11 playoff

He was by far the best player on the offense in 2008. No, I am not kidding, look up the numbers: http://www.footballperspective.com/the-steve-smith-post/ Hell, he wasn't just the best player on our team - he was the best receiver in the league. Twice.

I could maybe understand it if he wanted out... but he didn't. We forced him out. It's not his fault what happened, it is ours. I think it turned out to be best for both sides, but the guy is a living legend, one of the best that will ever play. Anyone saying they 'don't give a fug' is a fugging liar. I, for one, am not going to excommunicate our best player over something he didn't do.

It's a glorified grand jury.
-
Just because I think it's wrong to punish him for a crime he probably didn't commit doesn't mean I want him back or am less of a fan. It's an issue that goes pretty far beyond one player or one team.

Britney Griner of the WNBA has just been arrested for assault, possibly domestic violence with her fiancee Glory Johnson (who was also arrested). I demand the WNBA to suspend both for at least a full season. Equality, right?
-
Feminists love to talk about inequality until you bring that up.
-
Until the photos are public and timestamped to fit, it's impossible to say they are.
-
If just being accused of domestic violence is enough to warrant a 10-game suspension, how much is an actual conviction worth?

@Jacksonville - Win Barring an utter collapse, there is no reason to lose to a team in perpetual rebuilding mode. vs. Houston - Win Could be tougher than Jacksonville, but their offense will have a very hard time against our defense, especially if they don't resolve QB problems. vs. New Orleans - Win First game against good competition, and should be a better judge of the season than the first two games. I think we win by a good margin. @Tampa Bay - Win Another game that should be a gimme. If we lose this it's a terrible way to go into the bye. @Seattle - Win We have played them competitively every time, even when we were mediocre with no momentum. This is the game we finally break them. KB has a breakout game and an improved secondary is able to stop the mistakes we made last year. vs. Philadelphia - Win Chip Kelly gets exposed this year. vs. Indianapolis - Win Cam out-duels Luck, shutting up ESPN for good. vs. Green Bay - Lose They had a better team last year, and I don't think our improvements make up for it. A fairly substantial loss. @Tennessee - Win Should be a gimme. Tennessee is deep in rebuilding and is not going to improve much. vs. Washington - Win Another average team, and another game we should win. @Dallas - Lose A close game, but refs pull some questionable calls and our corners aren't able to stop Dez Bryant. @New Orleans - Lose Combine coming off a tough loss with C.J. Spiller going nuts in the dome. vs. Atlanta - Win Unable to establish a running game, Matt Ryan forces the ball to Julio Jones all game, and Josh Norman makes him pay for it. @New York Giants - Win Odell Beckham is able to exploit our corners, but it's not enough to make up for Eli Manning's mistakes. @Atlanta - Lose Slight upset for Atlanta here. Their season is lost, but Julio plays an excellent game in the dome. However, the division is clinched due to a shocking Saints loss to Jacksonville. vs. Tampa Bay - Win In order to keep in play for a first-round bye (Green Bay has clinched home field) , Rivera keeps the starters in. A blowout ensues. Prediction - 12-4, 2nd seed in NFC

The chosen one is returning to the NFL
TN05 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Denver's defense: *24th most points in the league *20th most yards *16th most yards per play *19th most first downs *20th fewest fumble recoveries *29th most interceptions Yep, that's an elite defense capable of winning games right there. -

Um, no. What you are talking about is 'apatheism' (being apathetic about if God exists or not). Agnosticism is the belief that the existence of a god is unknown and/or unknowable. Accordingly, there would be two types of agnostics: Agnostic atheists - Believe that the existence of a god is unknown and/or unknowable, and that god(s) exist. Agnostic theists - Believe that the existence of a god is unknown and/or unknowable, and that god(s) exist. In practice, only the former exist. After all, it is fairly difficult to believe something is impossible to know, and still believe in it. -
