Gano has been as good as it better than Butker. And it’s worth noting that the training camp and preseason Butker had weren’t great. Regardless, we could have kept either and got a top-five kicker and instead we kept neither and have lost a slew of games as a result.

People were legitimately saying a kicker that was worse than Gano is fine as long as they are cheaper, as if a kicker contract is a problem.

Not me! I warned people that cutting a kicker this good for some random practice squad player was an awful idea. kickers are one of the easiest positions to get right and to mess up. We could have had Gano or Butker - but top-five league kickers. Instead, we have neither and it’s entirely on management.

In hindsight, getting rid of a top five kicker for Joey Slye was a bad idea

Joey Slye might just be the worst kicker this time has ever put out. He should have been cut after the disaster of a game in New Orleans in 2019, instead we kept him. Paying the price now.

Slye is consistently worse than Gano at his worst. It's inexcusable that we've not found a better kicker. Slye is going to cost us games.

LYIN TED was the pretender. MVP-elect GEQBUS is now the #1 QB for the Panthers after four straight Super Bowl wins because he was tired of winning all the time.

We know exactly what Bridgewater is, and what he's capable of. He's the definition of a middle-of-the-pack QB that won't lose you games but is allergic to winning them. Game after game we had a chance to tie or win, and every time we failed. With Darnold, he might be bad. If that's the case, we just get a better draft pick in 2021 for a real franchise QB. Or, he might actually turn out to not be a lost cause - and with our only real glaring hole being QB, if we somehow leveraged a second, fourth, and sixth into a franchise QB, that's a pretty freaking good deal. Could take us to a playoff team I like the the trade. I like the low risk here, and I like not having to take a gamble on the fifth or sixth-best QB in the draft. Sue me.
