  1. He had a couple decent throws on the first drive. Nothing that anyone off the street couldn't make, though, and certainly nothing that warrants being the #1 pick.
  2. It wasn't close to coming back, it straight up came back. Keep Pounding, smashmouth football. That team had an identity. Coached the whole season by Wilkes, that's a playoff team for sure. One that gets booted round one, but still a playoff team.
  3. He's on pace for less than 3000 yards in a 16-game season and more turnovers than touchdowns, as well as maybe the single-season pick six record
  4. Completions - 352 (22 per game) Attempts - 567 (35 per game) Completion percentage - 62% Yards - 2,992 (187 per game) Touchdowns - 16 Interceptions - 15 Fumbles - 9 Fumbles lost - 5 Yards per completion - 8.5 Yards per attempt - 5.3 Sacks - 64 (4 per game)
  5. For the better part of 30 years, the Carolina Panthers offense has been fairly straightforward. It's Air Coryell, with a big emphasis on power running and deep passes, which combine to keep the defense honest. This is why quarterbacks as varied as Steve Beueurlein, Jake Delhomme, and Cam Newton have all seen success here. It's why this team looked half-decent down the stretch with Sam Darnold and Donta Foreman. Bryce Young literally cannot do this. He doesn't have the physical skillset to run Air Coryell. He is a West Coast passer that ideally will be targeting with surgical strikes (even if he lacks the arm strength to zip to a receiver quickly) in the 10-20 yard range. This is why he's so good with Thielen. Young would probably have chemistry with DJ Moore or CmC, too. We are trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. He doesn't have the arm strength to routinely throw the ball more than 20 yards down the field. In order for this team to succeed, we will either need to ditch Bryce Young, or rework the entire offense into a West Coast scheme. Up to you to decide which is easier but this offense as-is simply cannot work because Young doesn't fit scheme at all
  6. You can’t cry sexism when she wants to have a leadership role in this org
  7. This team is built for an Air Coryell, power run offense and Bryce Young can't throw downfield
  8. Could Bryce Young make this throw? https://twitter.com/SartiranaLuca/status/1726322682894110786?s=20
  9. Over/under on Bryce finishing with 150 yards this game?
  10. CJ Stroud: 18/24, 259 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT Bryce Young: 5/10, 48 yards Feels bad, man
  11. It's almost like throwing downfield makes the defense play worse against the run
  12. Great catches from Thielen but those throws were good ones. Young looking solid this drive.
  13. Why is Chubba not getting 90% of our carries
  14. Great/good: 1) Cam Newton 2) Jake Delhomme 3) Steve Beuerlein This list really speaks for itself, these are the only three quarterbacks we've had that were good. Two of them went to a Super Bowl and had years of sustained success. The other, Steve Beuerlein, was a one-season wonder but that one season was one of the most electric offenses in NFL history at the time. Total flash in the pan but one worth remembering. Average: 4) Kerry Collins He made the playoffs and had a career winning record with us, so that's saying something. Respectable career, pretty mediocre here. Below-average: 5) Rodney Peete 6) Sam Darnold 7) Matt Moore 8 PJ Walker 9) Kyle Allen 10) Andy Dalton None of these guys were good here. However, they did at least provide periods of time with somewhat decent QB play. Peete had a winning record as a starter in 2002, and Darnold opened 2021 and closed 2022 strong. Matt Moore showed promise in 2009, and Kyle Allen looked okay in 2021. Walker at least gave some exciting moments. Dalton looked okay. Bad: 11) Derek Anderson 12) Teddy Bridgewater 13) Vinny Testaverte 14) David Carr 15) Frank Reich These guys were bad quarterbacks. Anderson was a good backup but never a good starter. Teddy ran the most miserable offense I've seen as a Panthers fan. Testaverte was old. Carr... let's not talk about him. Reich was really bad for his few games, but he wasn't the issue with the 1995 team entirely. Terrible tier 16) Bryce Young 17) Baker Mayfield 18) Taylor Heinicke These guys didn't just look bad, there was barely anything redeemable. Young looks like an UDFA. Mayfield just did not work with the most batted passes of all time. Heinicke looked utterly unfit for the league. Garbage tier 19) Brian St. Pierre 20) Chris Weinke 21) Matt Lytle 22) Jimmy Clausen 23) Randy Fasani 24) Will Grier The worst of the worst. St. Pierre being so high is actually funny and says just how bad these other guys were. It's really hard to rank such a complete tier of garbage but Grier is probably the worst QB I've seen on this team.
  15. Yes we get it, everyone but Bryce sucks, thank you for your productive comment.
  16. Unless things change, it’s gonna be clear everyone was under a collective delusion that a wonderic test can make up for a lack of physical talent. Stroud is undoubtably elevating everyone around him. Young isn’t. That can change but it’s the case right now.
