I don't understand this rebuild excuse. The problem was never the fact that we are in a rebuild. It's fine that we are rebuilding. The problem is that the staff looks more and more incompetent throughout each week. We've scored 1 TD in 3 weeks. Rhule is visibly confused on the sidelines each week. They don't know how to game plan. They've made very questionable personnel decisions. They traded a 2nd round pick and more for Darnold and immediately picked up his 5th year option despite never seeing him play a down. The staff looks totally inept. You say rebuild, I see incompetence. Rhule has been out-coached week in and week out. That's the problem. And we can't trust a word he says.

Fields made some pretty great throws on the run last night. I think he would've fared better than Darnold. Darnold is damaged goods. He already had shell-shock. Happy feet. But instead we have a staff who got fleeced by the Jets and picked up Darnolds 5th year option on top of that.

Next year is a wash. We won't fix the QB position and the offensive line this off-season. The coaching staff have proven to be incompetent at game planning, calling games, and selecting personnel. We picked up a 5th year option on one of the worst QBs in the NFL without seeing him play a down for us. We have no day 2 picks. We are overpaying for a WR who I'm pretty sure has the most drops in the NFL. We owe the aforementioned QB 18 million next year. What makes you think this staff will be competent in their FA and draft decisions come next year? We need to fix the entire oline and find a QB. The two hardest position groups to find decent players. We have been set back at least 2 years unless this organization performs a miracle in the off season. And Tepper seems more concerned with growing his empire than building a culture around this team. The future looks bleak if we stay on this course. Edit: And yes, as Firefox mentioned... hyperbole. He already is. Remember when the ref told Cam he wasn't old enough to get those calls. Just absolutely shameful. I'm glad that announcers are more open on calling out the bullshit nowadays. They were letting the refs have it most of the night for calling a one-sided game.

Every defensive player has a celebration they do after a big play. See: Brian Burns Spider-Man pose. The wheel kick was no different. He didn't taunt the punter. He looked in the direction of the Steelers bench. He didn't say a word. If you watched the whole game, there was definitely some homebrew going on. They made questionable calls and no-calls in favor of the Steelers all night. It reminded me of SB50. The Steelers defense were hitting Fields late constantly. At one point, they did it three plays in a row. However, Ben barely gets touched and it draws a flag. The taunting call was bullshit and pre-determined by the ref. Refs shouldn't be able to determine the outcomes of games. There shouldn't be a penalty so subjective that the ref can call it literally any time they want.
