I'd take one legged CMC over Hubbard. Let's go, fella

Refs trying their best to make this game about them.

Good thing Rhule lets his wife call draft picks

Are these the SB50 refs?

We definitely have more talent on offense besides the QB position. If Cam had this kind of talent around him in his prime... just imagine... he carried the offense to #1 in the NFL with the likes of Ted Ginn and Philly Brown.
-
Besides maybe avoiding the Jets? I mean he gains the possibility of a great career rather than the possibility of being ruined by the Jets.
-
Dude didn't just blow up the guard, he blew up the WR tryna block him too. He took out two blockers at the same time.

He should've stayed in school another year. The Jets will ruin his development and his career.

Take a look at the Saints center. Poor dude probably still doesn't know what happened. On the first play, Chinn runs right by him and takes up a blocker allowing Chandler to run by unimpeded to the QB. On the second play, Chinn gets double teamed allowing Brown to push his guy into the QB. On the third play, he allows Chinn to run right past him unimpeded. Fun to watch when it's not your line getting used and abused.

Texans gonna be down to their 4th string QB by the end of regulation... This defense is nasty.

The Athletic not very impressed with Sam Darnold

Some people really lack self-awareness. -
We beat the worst team in the NFL and a bad and depleted Saints team that was missing quite a few very important starters. Let's get through the first half of the season before speculating on playoffs. Because the Saints were thinking Superbowl just last week. Sam has played well, but he has played against two bad teams that didn't apply any pressure to him whatsoever. Lets see what he does when he is pressured against a good defense. He made a few bad throws the few times he was pressured against the Saints.

"Worst undefeated team" Its coming, we've been there.

They were missing Lattimore, Gardner-Johnson, Kwon Alexander, Michael Thomas, Tre'Quan Smith and whoever their center is. The equivalent of us missing Horn, DJax, Shaq, DJ, Robbie and Paradis all in one game. So yeah, a big chunk of their roster. Which is why I'm happy for the win, but not exactly ready to claim the World Beaters title. -
He is a clear upgrade from Teddy. You'll get no argument from me there. But that's not really saying much. I would expect him to make those throws because he is an NFL QB. He has no reason to play poorly because he has a ton of talent around him. The oline gave him time today for the most part. There were a few pressured throws there towards the end. Credit to Sam for getting them the ball. But I wouldn't say he carried this offense by any means today. I would say any average QB should be able to produce with this talent. He made some boneheaded plays that a better defense would've taken advantage of. He threaded the needle a lot today and other times he was lucky the ball wasn't picked. The pros are he performed well most of the game and he spread the ball around. That is already a major improvement over Teddy. He did enough for us to win and he didn't cause us to lose. Whereas Teddy did enough to not cause us to lose but did nothing to help us win. That being said, it looked like a solid team effort on offense today. I wouldn't say he put anyone on his back and carried them.

I feel bad for the Texans offense come Thursday.
-
Not sure how that's hating? But cue the circle jerk, anyways, I guess.
-
On an offense with stars like DJ, Robbie and CMC... playing against Saints backup CBs... You think Sam carried the offense? He played well enough to get the win, but lets not get delusional here.
-
"Sam needs preseason reps, this coaching staff is clueless."
Kuhndog94 replied to Rags's topic in Carolina Panthers
He played against a defense that was missing their top 2 CBs and their best LB. If he didn't play well today, we would have big problems. -
tbf, that "real team" was missing Michael Thomas, Tre'Quan Smith, Lattimore, Kwon Alexander, and Gardner-Johnson and their center. It would be like if we were missing DJ, Robbie, Horn, DJax, Shaq and Paradis. Woulda been a different game. I hope it's the same result when we play them in the Dome.

okay, he doesn't have to do push ups after practice this week.
