  1. Ummm, go back and watch the Damiere Byrd play where he took it to the house. The left guard for Atlanta moved early. Then, on the same play watch the obvious hold on Brian Burns and the hold downfield on Keith Taylor by Number 5 by Atlanta. MULTIPLE no calls on that one play. That TD should not have even happened based on the false start alone. I can do this all day, but, you're right, it should have never went to OT and we all really know why. By the way, who was penalized more in this game?
  2. Yep, just refs doing what they do in the NFL today, they have to be seen too.
  3. I wouldn't say that yet... if he plays like this and PJ continues to improve, this team might surprise us. We've just been a QB away from being a decent team. Despite the loss, PJ played his ass off... more than serviceable if you ask me. The defense allowed to much in the running game and needs to get the QB down a little more. Kicking game lost this game. The PJ to DJ connection could become a real good thing for this team... lets just give it a few more games before we burn it all down. This team seems to be playing with purpose now.
  4. Now that's just funny! Exactly how I felt after watching highlights. Lol, thanks for cheering me up a little!
  5. I don't understand the rule... if the play is over after refs have blown the whistle or after a TD, what does it even matter? Risk of fights maybe?
  6. Yep... gets a chance to redeem himself and completely craps the bed... weak minded kicker. Was what, a 38 yard attempt?
  7. I get it TECHNICALLY... but the league needs to understand that this is the NFL with grown ass men. And, plays like this do not happen very often... how can Moore not be very emotional, who wouldn't be? I think the NFL should make some of these instances judgement calls. If you are up by 21 points and do that, yes, I understand the call. But, this was a game winning catch in the final seconds of the game, let those guys enjoy the moment. That being said, I do wish DJ had not jumped up on the wall... you ARE in Atlanta, not at home. Of course it's going to get the refs attention. I get it that the rules are the rules, but a call like that should not be able to affect the outcome of the game. Maybe penalize the call during the kickoff, not the XP. IDK, it's not a perfect world, whatever... just sucks how we lost today. One of most heartbreaking I can remember in a while. Panthers had 1st place IN THE BAG!
  8. Well, I do put a small amount of blame on Moore... they have to keep their emotions in check, especially on the road. Go back to the sideline and celebrate. At the same time, give me a break refs... you saw that play, how could Moore NOT be emotional. Makes the kick a 48 yarder, should penalize during the kickoff not the extra point. It sucks because it makes you feel like this team is just snake bitten. Panthers should have won this damn game.
  9. YEP! Summarizes how I feel perfectly! GRRR "Give me something to break". Where is Pineiro? haha
  10. Sure seems that way. Bad karma from dirty business deals by Tepper I guess, lol.
  11. Just wish we had that clutch gene with our freaking kicker.
  12. Yeah, that dude is about how I would describe this game.
  13. I just watched the highlights... how the hell did we lose this game? Why do refs just HAVE to throw the damn flag during an obvious emotional TD? Can they NOT just let these guys play? Was the flag on Moore for jumping on the wall? WTF? And why is the kicking game ALWAYS haunting this team? Panthers should NOT have lost this game!! GRRRRR!!!!
  14. The though of signing him is hard to "ingest".
  15. I mean damn! We have Chubba Hubbard!!! What's everyone so sad about? lol... You are right you know. Everyone needs to chill, we did fleece the 'niners.
  16. Nope... not a first rounder for an undersized, more 3-4 oriented DE that is not a good run stopper. For a 1st rounder it would have to be DJ.
  17. Lol, they're going to be excited until the 'ol injury bug comes rearing it's ugly head, and that includes Garoppolo... then they'll see the true value of all those picks they gave up. Ask the Minnesota Vikings (obviously, this trade not THAT big) how the Hershel Walker trade worked out for them. I wish nothing but the best for CMC though... I hope he tastes success there. Honestly, they're set up just a bit better than the Vikings were back then, but... doesn't mean it can't bite them.
  18. Sorry, I misread what you were referring to... why people say that's why you don't pay big money to RB's... I agree that CMC is a prolific difference maker, and affects the game. I was just speaking in terms of the Panthers and the fans screaming about this being a horrible deal. CMC had a say in this... if we had hesitated and he got hurt this weekend, then what do they get? I get why he would want to leave. He wants to win while he is still young and healthy enough to BE a difference maker. I just don't think it makes a difference for the Panthers any more... at this point Foreman will suffice. Doesn't take much scheming to beat this team. Honestly, I think it was a pretty good trade considering we got our draft picks back, late picks or not.
  19. I think what a lot of people are not considering here is that CMC was most likely asking to be traded, he had a play in this. And consider this... what if the they had hesitated with this trade, then say, Christian goes out and plays this Sunday, then gets hurt for an extended period... what would the Panthers be offered then? I think their hand was forced and they struck while it was hot... it really wasn't a bad deal IMO.
  20. Oh, the typical, "you don't REALLY watch football" comment, can expect at least two of those per subject. If our coaches were half as smart as our huddlers just imagine how kick ass this team would be. I was being a bit facetious, obviously Foreman is no CMC, but a lot of people said the same thing when Derrick Henry got hurt and Foreman filled in great. Foreman could easily have a 100 yard rushing game, regardless of scheme, he's a very capable RB and has pretty good hands. Albeit, our coaching staff may start Hubbard, lol. Point is... does it REALLY matter? What the hell were we winning WITH CMC? Even if he was 100% of our offense. I'm 49 years old... why the HELL would I be a "Madden player"? I have too much responsibility kid. And trust me, I've watched the game for a long damn time.
  21. Then it will be blatantly OBVIOUS we are tanking... either way, CMC or no CMC, we are God awful.
  22. And watch... this weekend Foreman will put up similar numbers as CMC, then you'll see the, "that's why you don't pay big bucks on RB's" comments.
  23. Yup... and when he is injured in the next 2 to 4 games for rest of season in SF, we'll see who truly got hosed. We got all our draft picks back that we stupidly traded away for a bad QB and "serviceable" DB. Even if they are later picks it's better than no picks. Smart move IMO. 2nd 3rd AND 4th? Plus, a 5th next year? Yes!!! good trade... despite being half our offense this year, we're no less worse than we were.
  24. Yeah, I get it... but, I'm sure Wilks will admit there were coaching mistakes as well. He needs a game or two to get a feel for what works or doesn't work within this system he has been dealt. It's a lot more complex than us huddlers and weekend warriors would like to think. I'm sure he will critique his own strategy after this game, frankly, I'm surprised the Panthers lead 10-7 at the half. I fully expected the Rams to have a "get right" game and destroy us. There's no denying they're a far better team. I'm not on a bandwagon for Wilks at all... I just think with THIS roster, an adjustment period will be required. At least a game or two, experience or no experience. I don't think Belichick could fix this in a game or two. It's a tough situation.
