I can see them engaging in load management during the Olympics! These guys are getting up there in age!

I also realize that Team was 100% NBA players. Australia had 9 and Canada had 7. By far the most NBA talent in the tournament. Team USA lost to Lithuania (1 NBA player), Gemany (5 NBA players) and Canada. It doesn't matter if that was the C team, Team USA had WAY more NBA talent than their opponent. How many NBA players on Lithuania, Germany and Canada were better than any of the players on Team USA? Outside of SGA on Team Canada, it's hard to find any other players better than the ones on Team USA, Canada included. No excuses.

He most definitely looked better than I expected. Things are looking up for the rookie. -

It absolutely sucks how this man's career has been riddled with injury in such a short time in the league. Here's to a speedy recovery. -
When Noah Lyles triggered a bunch of NBA players and fans with the infamous "World Champions of what? The United States?, the main thing in the discussion on Twitter was "The NBA has the best players from around the world who play in the best league in the world". I totally agree with that sentiment but I also agree with what Noah Lyles was saying. I've been saying it my whole life. How can you claim a World Championship when you only play in a domestic tournament? It's idiotic to claim that. You have to actually compete with the best from around the world to win a World Championship. That's what our NBA laden team is playing for. A World Championship. Even though people would say that Team USA's roster for the FIBA World Cup is the "C" team, they still had more NBA talent than any other team (remember, best league, best players). Lithuania had one player that currently plays in the league and a few more that had a cup of coffee in the league and whipped Team USAs butt. Germany has 4 or 5 current players but none are better than any of the players from Team USA. The NBA is the best league in the world with the greatest players from multiple countries. I think the gap between The USA and the rest of the world is shrinking and it shows during these international games. Our "C" team should easily handle any country with no problem but that's not the case. It's just funny how Team USA and Team Canada, the two favorites, have the most NBA talent but they are playing each other for the bronze medal. It's embarrassing.

I totally agree. Remember, some of these guys that are getting cut from around the NFL won't ever play football again. Some won't ever put on a uniform ever again. It's brutal.

It's a new day in Carolina! It's a nice change to have offensive minded coaches now. Should be a treat to see the difference in styles. There has been nothing but defense in that building from the beginning. I feel sorry for the people that beg for DE every year now. I was really expecting Keion White, DE from GA. Tech. in the 2nd round but, I'm not mad at WR!! At 6'5" and 285lbs, I thought he would be a great fit in this new scheme.

Tony Pauline: CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson
@bonafidebanter replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thanks, all great points but we were discussing QB skills. What exactly are QB skills? I was saying that running and escaping the pocket are very important SKILLS as well. Remember when Harden said that all Giannis did was run and dunk the ball but becoming an MVP? Those are the vibes that I get when I hear talk about "QB skills" and QBs that can actually move. Hell, I'm old enough to remember Steve Young having ALL of the skills to be an elite QB. -

My point is that ALL of those are quarterback skills. Being able to run and escape the pocket and still make plays aren't only essential, they are a plus. It's not a this or that deal. The QB that has ALL of those skills lost this past Super Bowl getting stripped sacked IN THE POCKET. If it wasn't for that fumble, the so-called running QB would have won the Super Bowl over the best QB that we've seen in a long time. Hurts actually outplayed Mahomes. Mahomes key play in the game was a 20+ yards scramble using a "nice to have" ability. Mahomes is another QB that has ALL of the "skills". Those skills are WAY more than a pedestrian "nice to have" comment. If Jalen Hurts hadn't gotten hurt late in the season, he would have won the MVP by a land slide. People need to get ready because the QB position is starting to have guys that have ALL of the actual skills it takes to maximize the position. This new brand of QB is going to take it to the next level. Those "nice to have" abilities are becoming more and more important based on the QBs that are getting selected early and the ones having the most success in the league. -

Exactly what are "quarterback skills"? I love how we just make up rules. Almost like being able to actually run and escape the pocket doesn't require any skill at all. It's giving me Giannis doesn't have skills vibes. -

Didn't we first hear Tepper saying that he likes Levis? Wasn't he saying this before the college football season was even over? -
I'm not going to lie, I panicked.

Corral vs the rest of the rookie field

I feel bad for the kid, but this wasn't the year to grab a QB. You missed out on that last year. Giving up next year's 3rd looks even more stupid. These guys are hustling backwards. -
James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo

It doesn't seem like it. No.

Bouknight is 6'4", Moody and Duarte are 6'5". Not much of a difference there. Monk is 6'3".

Pretty good end of season report by Bobby Marks. This was made before Borrego was let go, but he says a lot that I agree with. I'm hoping that the Hornets can get Sam Cassell to help with Melo's development, among other things. We need a coach that will improve the defense as well.

The Commanders can't get right.

That All Defensive draft from a couple of years ago has you on your way, right?

"Southern mafia approved.". This quote had me rolling.

They've already done the all-defensive draft, not, all offensive this year.
