"Fox Big Noon" show ruins another one.

2001 & 2010 teams at least had talent and several pieces you could build around. They just lacked a QB. The 2024 Panthers legitimately have nothing to build around except Horn and the OL. The defense is built with scraps the rest of the league didn't even want enough to keep on the practice squads. It's a bad team.

This. Releasing Cam and signing Teddy was the dumb part of it. Releasing Cam, sure, fine, his shoulder was busted as sad as it was to see. If you were going to release Cam, It would have been an obvious tank but just play Kyle Allen at QB that year and you setup to draft Lawrence. Signing Teddy and trying to win was the blunder.

I won't argue the feelings for Bryce. It is a little weird how Dave ignores any questions about Bryce and instantly says Dalton is the starter. It's also weird how Bryce doesn't even get put in for mop up duty.

He couldn't even accel in Kyle Shanahan's system, it doesn't get much easier than being in SF with those weapons and that system.

LOL! Historically under Dabo, when Clemson has superior teams and they can blowout an opponent, Dabo will let up on coaches he likes and then disrespect coaches who have ran their mouths at him. The last few years with DJU & 2023 Cade they haven't blown out anyone.

I've been a Clemson fan my whole life (37 yrs old) and I'll always appreciate what Deshaun did at Clemson. I have a lot of DW4 memorabilia throughout my "man cave" but this dude is washed. He is not the same dude that was at Clemson and not the same dude that was at Houston. His circle of friends changed once he got to the NFL. Obviously new girlfriend, not the same one he dated in high school and while at Clemson. No idea if it's a bad influence around him or if he's just mentally checked out once all the off field stuff was exposed. All that said, just because a Clemson fan created the thread does not mean all Clemson fans are on board with Watson. I was on board a few years ago when they talked about signing him but once I saw what he was guaranteed and what Cleveland gave up, I was relieved. If Carolina gave him what Cleveland did it would have been worse than the Bryce trade. Now, would it suck to have Watson as the QB? Yeah it would. He's playing AWFUL. Carolina would have to deal with 2-3 more years of awful QB play. It would suck to eat his contract as well BUT.... if Cleveland called offering two firsts just so a team would take on that $, how do you pass that up? We suck as is and need draft picks. Carolina isn't winning the Super Bowl next year or the year after so you obtain the picks and try to build up the roster. Carolina isn't a QB away. Obtain all draft picks you can and hope you hit on them. If it happens, cool I'm glad we got the picks but I am not all for it just to have Watson. I would do the deal for the draft picks alone.

I expect Clemson to cover but I also don't expect Dabo to humiliate Tony Elliott. It will be right around that 21-point margin.

Washington is 1 off-season away IMO. Quinn needs a few more defensive pieces and maybe 1 more WR. We (Carolina) need a lot. We do not need any QB in this draft, at least one that is in the first few rounds. Morgan needs to keep a veteran QB as the starter and build the rest of the roster back up. Carolina can't continue to draft QB's and throw them into a mess of a roster.

Panthers screwed around and let Butker slip away... hopefully they learned their lesson, keep Thicker Kicker. Tell Eddie to screw off.

This franchise screwed up when they tried to win AFTER cutting Cam. Once they made the decision to cut Cam, it should have been tank CITY for Trevor Lawrence. Yes, Matt Rhule and Fitterer were clowns. Tepper sucks etc etc but from a roster only standpoint, they have played QB roulette since cutting Cam. This has kept us at the bottom of the league. You draft TLaw, we still have DJ, hell quite possibly have CMC. It has been a giant snowball effect from the minute they cut Cam and signed Teddy thinking they could win.

I'm not to the point of "f him" because he did a lot for the Panthers and was a beast the first few seasons but I will agree with you on the "milking injuries" the last year or two. Lamelo doing the same damn thing on the other side of the city.

lol man... it was literally the same play as the end of Duke/Clemson. I wonder if all the backlash after that caused the refs to hesitate on blowing it at the end of GT/UNC.

Dude reminds me of Nuk Hopkins or DJ Moore. Not in a talent, skill or size aspect but just the fact they all put up big numbers year after year with average QB's. MPJ is definitely underrated.
