  1. That's interesting, so it might come down to his best friend and a new start versus staying lose to home. Do the Saints have any close personal connections to Collins? Also Collins was probably coached to say what teams want to hear, he may have a personal preference on where he wants to play. We've seen that his agent is quite the character, so coaching Collins what to say doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities.
  2. Devin Gardner didn't help that drop rate much, but Cam doesn't throw the most catchable ball either at points in time.
  3. Carolina doesn't just offer a chance to compete, it also can represent a fresh start. The situation he is being talked to about is absolutely tragic. He may want a fresh start in a new state which is something I wouldn't discount. Would the saints bump him inside to guard though? Peat would seem to be the day 1 RT with Armstead at LT. You do have a slot at guard open with Grubbs going to KC but the rest of line seems set with Armstead, Unger, Grubbs and Peat. He also might not find a switch to guard to be very attractive because of the 2nd contract of a tackle vs the 2nd contract of a guard.
  4. Absolute gold coming from those fingers of yours Bump Johnson inside on passing downs, put Addison on the RT because of his quickness, Johnson and Short on the inside and Ealy on the LT and they should get to the QB within no time
  5. The Money Funchise Off of Floyds Mayweathers money team and Kelvins last name is commonly used for $100 bills
  6. You can't teach his athleticism especially when it comes to foot speed. If Matsko can make Remmers serviceable, I'd love to see what Humphries could be molded into. The fact he's a Charlotte kid doesn't hurt either. Quick question though, could he play RT in case the staff doesn't want to throw him in at LT right away? I know Gross did it and he wasn't the largest but that was a long time ago.
  7. @RavensInsider: Source: Panthers offensive line coach working out Oklahoma linemen Daryl Williams, Tyrus Thompson and Adam Shead http://t.co/Ds88aZzM1I Potential late round tackles, thoughts?
  8. The argument that our #3 WR will get 400-600 a year is quite valid. Over the past 3 years the #3 WR has averaged 463 yards. (Murphy, Ginn, Avant/Brown) Source: http://www.nfl.com/teams/statistics?season=2014&team=CAR&seasonType= My first post explains why I believe he will be a slot receiver in this league and especially in a Rivera dictated offense where running the ball is first and foremost the focus of the offense. The contract Dickson got is most definitely not average for a #2 TE, he is the 29th best paid TE in terms of average contract value. He is getting paid borderline #1 TE money and you don't pay someone that unless they are a large part of your long term plans. Source: http://overthecap.com/position/tight-end/ Casually watching Agholor, watching the combine, and reading reports on him and all state that he plays way faster in compression shorts than he does in pads. They also state that he does lack the straight-line speed to take the top off of the defense in the NFL. Also it states that he has a very lean frame and a lot don't think that he can carry much more weight while maintaining the quickness that makes him an upper echelon prospect. He was a top recruit at a top school, so his athletic potential is much closer to being reached than a smaller school prospect. Philly was all we had by the end of the year and I'm almost certain that will not happen this year. Any rookie will not start atop of the depth chart, they will have to work for everything they get starting from the bottom... Agholor included.
  9. I don't see what you are insinuating here. Ginn and Agholor most likely wouldn't be running the same routes if Agholor ended up being drafted by Carolina. Ginn has world class top end speed so obviously he was going to be sent on more flies to utilize that. Agholor is quicker than fast with better route running than Ginn and would probably be sent on more short to intermediate routes to utilize him. I see Carolina using more 2 TE sets like they did later in the season so that leaves room for 3 RBs/FBs/WRs or else they wouldn't have signed Dickson to a 3 year 7.9 million dollar contract. Also Ginn was here when we did not have a viable 2nd TE, so he probably got more playing time because of that. Why would Carolina put out someone who will be a below average blocker in at least his first season, when that will give opposing DCs insight into what play they are running. If Agholor is in, they most likely wouldn't be running to his side so that eliminates 1/3 of the field or it more likely hint that it would be a passing play. But his and Ginn's situations are totally the same, Right.
  10. You make a thread on why we should take Agholor & then throw a hissy fit when someone doesn't agree with you? I'm willing to listen to why he should be the pick if logic/reason are applied and I don't have anything against Agholor, but I don't think he's gonna be the pick. The only saving grace that might have him as the pick IMO is if Shula feels comfortable with Agholor playing the Joker role Cotchery played last year out of the backfield.
  11. I said in the Rivera offense he'd be a non-impact players as compared to other possible selections at his point, a Jake Fisher could potentially be an every down LT and he's in the 2nd round range. And he was a somewhat ineffective blocker on college DBs, so in all likelihood he will be much worse on professional DBs. The 3rd WR on our team was Philly last year and he had less than 300 yards, so Agholor would get 400-600 yards maybe without any injuries, something he has had a history of. Philly could do that and is already on the roster.
  12. I think the problem with Agholor or any of those smaller receivers is that Rivera and therefore Gettlemen put a premium on receivers knowing how to block or them having the frame to become proficient blockers. Only the Vikings have run more than the Panthers since Cam/Rivera came to town, so why invest such a high pick on someone who will probably only be in 3 receiver sets while Rivera is our coach. While Agholor is no doubt a better receiver than say a Jamison Crowder or a Stefon Diggs, he probably isn't as worth it value wise as both fore mentioned receivers who can be had in approximately the 5th round. If Agholor was a free agent, I could see giving him a shout but when draft picks are as much as they are I don't see them wasting a pick in their first 3 rounds on a non-impact player.
  13. It'll be interesting to see how far Strong falls due to this "wrist" issue, most already think he's dropping out of the first round before he even arrived in Indianapolis for the re-check. With the report that surgery is imminent, why wouldn't he have had it operated on right after the Arizona State season ended? Seems that this is getting a bit overblown
