Just my opinion.. Following Walter for years his prediction, player rankings, and player profiles have been wrong 80% of the time.. And I only use him to get Prospect names and position..
-
I'm always excited until they make a bad pick that I bitch about for 3 days then talk myself into a week later..
-
What is Walter Football talking about??
-
I have seen pics of him.. That is the most cut and healthy 340 pounder outside of WWE..
-
Walter's football really??
-
What is his degenerate condition??
-
Yeah he has Obadda like potential as a run stopper on early downs who can move inside on passing downs..
-
The fact that Pickett is in these highlights make me SMH!!
-
https://www.panthers.com/team/players-roster/joe-jackson/ Liked him as a late round flier 2018 ..
-
I agree with Lawrence but I also put in the context that he was literally being coach by a guy who gave up on the team in TC... You couldn't put a QB in a worst situation then what Lawrence was in and expect him to show anything..
-
I like it Nat.. By your assessment then Balke overrides Kahns opinion of pass rushers in this draft??
-
I'd skimmed most of this but from what I read.. Wilson was carried by a defense his 1st few years.. Cousin didn't start until his 4th season after Robert Griffin was hurt.. Dak, Hurts, didn't start day 1.. But I've said a few other QBS have had success but the history of the league usually shows high QBS drafted to bad teams don't come in and be good in year 1.. And I don't understand why that expectation has changed.. Peyton was horrible his 1st season and it was expected..
-
Jmo.. Before Cam nobody expected a QB to carry a obviously bad team in his 1st season even in the 2nd season... After Cam it seem like ppl are expecting it more and I don't know why..
-
No GM is... But if you've been a Hornets to Bobcat back to Hornets fan for more then a few years.. His tenure ranks pretty high in teams history... The best 2 moves I didn't mention is having the Balls to not give Kemba the Maximum contract that would have destroyed this team (when everybody shifted on him about it) and keeping MJ hands off the team... He's the best GM we've had based on those moves alone..
-
We seriously have let Cam, Andrew and a few other QBS frame our view of rookie QBS.. It usually takes more then a year to judge QBS drafted high going to horrible teams right??
-
I'm higher on OT because it's the perfect fit Valued position, team need, draft strength and player ranking.. We need LT, the position is valued at our draft pick, the players are ranked in that area of the draft ... It's really that simple.. Without adding in lame duck coaching staff..
-
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LancTr00.htm 7td 2 ints.. Plus they had a competent starter who carried them 2 1 game of a superbowl appearance.. It's the best of both worlds.. Being competitive in the present while securing the future.. Pat Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers sat their 1st season.. How did that workout?? What is your angle here??
-
seriously?? every sane panthers fan in this forum would trade places with the San Francisco situation...
-
They have their QB of the future and didn't have to throw him into the fire right away.. While being 1 game from a superbowl appearance.. They have their QB on a rookie contract with a superbowl quality surrounding cast and coaching staff.. Hmmmm I don't think they are sad about their situation at all..
-
Trey Lance is 6'4 232lb who can run Cam like power running plays and a great arm.. The physical traits are better then any QB in this draft...
-
I certainly agree it was a combination of things.. 1. Joe Brady inexperience and not ready for the role.. 2. Sam being a terrible QB.. 3. Bad to horrible Oline play.. 4. The safety net CMAC being injured.. All made this a horrible offensive situation...

Draft Strategy and approach (securing our LT)
WOW!! replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Andrew Thomas a guy they drafted 2020 4 overall who just started to play solid at the position.. -
It's the safest move for the future of the franchise.. No more assets losses under this lame duck coaching staff and a better roster with more assets for the next group.
-
And I actually like Wills and would be way more comfortable with picking him if 1. The top 3 Tackles are gone and no good trade down scenario.. 2. If we were in a different situation with draft assets and coaching security situation.. His physical talent alone is a reason to take the big swing I think this team should make in a different scenario.. But at this point I don't want to waste this pick on a player who is starting day 1 or isn't a for sure asset to a new coaching staff..
