Pat Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen and other didn't start right away and those Teams figured out they had a franchise QB.. If he sits half the year you can still figure that out.. But there is no benefit in giving him the job day one.. And it's stupid at this point not seeing if you can get anything out of Darnold since you are already paying him.. And finally like most QB in this years class.. Most of them will be best serve by sitting 1st and not thrown into the fire right away..

Why!! Why not let them compete?? You are already paying both.. Sam isn't blocking Matt's developmental.. And to be clear playing in that system in college with little to no snaps under center and pro scheme aspects.. It is very advantageous for Corral to sit while he learns anyway.. You also have a commitment to the other 72 players on the roster.. AMD your not putting your front foot forward throwing a rookie out there..

One thing not discussed.. Hassan Reddick is 6'1 245lb .. He couldn't put much more weight and muscle on that frame.. This kid is 6'5 245lb he can while being faster than Hassan.. But its good if he is just a Specialteams monster for a year or 2 while putting on muscle and weight..
