I know some of you don’t see this but reality is Wilks showed that competent Coaching made this team better and more of a viable thing then 1st though.. This team in reality with better coaching has enough talent not to be close to a top 10 pick in the predictable future.. Im sorry I don’t see a better opportunity then now to get your QB if you deemed any of these as your guy.. agree to disagree I like Levi’s and Richardson with this coaching staff okay.. But I love Stroud and Young with them more and don’t give a poo about picks in the next 2 years when I think the team will be better anyway..

Okay well agree to disagree.. I don’t want to wait till 2024 to get a QB hoping “this is the one year” when you get 1… Reality the team will be better and we will be in a worst position to get a QB.. Nor do we know if next year class will be better or not.. Because lately most classes have looked good before the season pans out.. So again agree to disagree..

Again what is the hit rate on 1. A 45 year old Qb 2. 3rd, 4th and 7th round QB’s working out 3. A retread being good after 8 years in his career.. Since you brought up the other Playoff Qb situations.. What is the hit rate on those situations compared to drafting a QB in the 1st round?? Your so afraid of this but you think these other situations are more of a sure thing??? Or you hope we’re bad enough to get a QB next year Or you want to wait on the perfect situation where we are really bad in a great QB draft year?? What is the viability of any of this??

If he don’t pan out he just doesn’t pan out.. You move on. By the time you find that out you will have a 1st round pick.. But all shots not taking are never made.. You do give the QB 3 years to find out right… plain and simple Sooner or later you have to take a shot.. You might as well do it when you have The Oline and surrounding infrastructure to make it a success..

Honestly before you skip over this what is the hit rate of these situations compared to just drafting your QB in the 1st round??? I would love to know..

And most of those teams have QB situation you don’t want right??? Or do you want a 46 year old Brady or High contracts Cousins, Prescott, .. If you want those Qb situations you can have that easily.. lmao

And nobody thought any of these teams had a chance… But if you think 1. Getting a 45 year old 2. Mr irrelvent becoming a good Qb 3. A 4th rounder 4. A 1st round retread becomes a quality QB after 8 years 5. A 3rd round QB Have a higher hit percentage then drafting your QB in the 1st round have at it.. Lmao!!

Or you trade up and get your guy..Especially when your in position and there is a big group of ppl willing to trade up for other positions.. Or other blue chip players.. again no matter what you think it’s clear Fitt set the team up to make this move.. He has said nothing else more clear then he want to draft and develop his pick at QB this year.. He built the Oline got the Qb development coaching staff and traded CMC for picks to be in this position… If it’s possible he is making this move..

Most of that 1/4 made the playoffs right?? KC - Mahomes Buf - Allen Cincy - Burrows Lac - Herbert Jacksonville - Lawrence New York - Danny dimes 3 of the 4 tops teams drafted there QB in the 1st round right??

I don’t like giving up 5 years of a rookie QB contract for only 2.. But depending on compensation I might be interested in Fields he is a more polished Richardson…

Okay.. 1. Saints may gives us a run but for how long?? Older team worst coaching situation not a lot of cap flexibility… So 1 maybe 2 years if we get our Young QB on a rookie deal right?? More worried about Atlanta then New Orleans to be honest…. 2. I know exactly how the draft works and if you have been studying this years like you think you have this isn’t a great year to have a lot of pick’s because top the bottom this isn’t a great draft for other positions.. Wr isn’t as good as last years Oline isn’t as good as last years their isn’t the depth at Dline, LB and Secondary that last year had.. To be honest there is only 3 blue chip players in this draft and 1 is a RB.. Other then QBs this draft isn’t as good as last years.. TE is good and RB is strong in this draft .. So we could trade the picks we acquired by trading CMC (to be in position to make this move by the way)and still get players…So yes I understand how a draft works… 3. Be patient is still part of the plan.. But you still have to follow the plan… They set themselves up to be in position to get their QB this year and have the necessary resources like (coaching Oline and weapons) to help develop him.. But you still have to get the the QB and be patient while he develops.. But reality remains this is going to be a better team just on coaching alone.. To think that you’re going to be in position to get a QB “next year” is not knowing this team at all thinking.. sorry jmo

This^^^ At some point waiting for the perfect situation isn’t living in reality.. Waiting for your team to be a bad team in a great QB draft year( just so you can keep assets )is ridiculous and a waste of time..

Not playing with House money at all.. Just willing to take a shot and JMo Stroud and Young are worth taking the shot for.. Also we said the same thing last year about this years QB class so we can keep saying the same thing every year that next year class is worth taking the shot but at some point you have to take the shot.. Also I don’t understand how anybody here thinks with better coaching and this roster.. We will be anywhere close to getting Maye or Williams anyway… We will probably be a better team and have to give up more next year to get them.. ??? So why is that even a thought??

No risk in getting your guy.. The whole thing is a risk but giving up picks for a QB you have conviction in is the price to play in this situation… Sorry but fug next years 1st if I get my QB.. Expectations are that pick will be in the 20 anyway…

I will trust but will lose some confidence if Vet QB retread is the path they take…
