Me too I don't think you need 2 highly drafted DT's taken so close together.. (See Kk and Star) You run into not being able to pay one of them if their contracts come up at the same time.... And Especially when 1 was the best DT in his draft. .. You can take a flier on a lower cost FA or lower draft pick working beside your stars on defense.. Get the best or 2nd best OT and go from there..

He is a ? Mark.. Just like Darnold is and any other rookie.. I just don't feel it's a accurate use of resources to play music chair at QB and again neglect other position while doing that.. We got the guy (for now) concentrate on working with and surrounding him with talent.. If he proves he sucks we our a better destination next year for any QB on the market or in the draft.. Playing half a season with one player then half with the other isn't answering any questions and only have us going into next season with question and no better in other position unless we hit homeruns with the rest of our picks. It's a bandaide situation trying to find a way into putting the same effort practice time and reps in 2 players when you can focus on 1 and truly find out what you have.. Oh and your opinion on Fields is a agree to disagree situation and pretty much won't have us looking at this in the same way.. So I understand why you think like this..

No that's not enough for me. Wins and losses are team stats.. That won't tell me if we have found our Franchise QB.. Mark Sanchez 1st couple years his team won alot.. That didn't make him a franchise QB..

He should have been better and for the way the owner and the coaching staff talked about it.. He either refused to be or didn't have the physical talent to... We did this last year for Teddy which he supremely under performed.. So now I guess it Sam Darnold's turn.. What does his numbers have to be for you to believe we have a franchise QB.. Now again everything should be put in context... In Teddy case bad oline, pandemic offseason, not having CMC did hurt.. But Jmo and (most of the organization) with the talent he did have and the offense going up and down the field like it did.. 15tds 11ints and a 0-8 record in game winning or tying situation is unacceptable... Depending on the draft I need Darnold to have 25+ (passing TD's) 12 or less Ints 4,000 yards passing 3 or more rushing TD's with a comp. Rate of 64% or more.. And a passer rating 88 or more...

Why not... We're not winning a trophy this year.. We should let this play out and stop trying to find our way to mediocre.. If he sucks we lose and be in a better position to find his replacement.. If Rhule and Brady are worth all the praise and love they get.. And Darnold actually gets good then it's the steal of the century and we know we have a great Coaching staff and GM.. I also like to state we did this same type of prescribing overrated/underrated titles to how we felt about James Bradberry.. Look at how that worked out.. Alot of threads about him being overrated, not 1 of the top CB, not worth the money.. Well now he's a pro bowlers.. So now was he overrated and not worth top Cb money?? And this is why I think these kinda of threads are dumb ass fug!! We're constantly questioning our developing talent when we know they are producing for us and have a history that shows what not producing looks like... DJ is literally blowing away KB, Funch, Armanti, Jarret, Lafell, and Kolbert to name the highly picked WR that didn't workout.. Can't we just enjoy one who actually is?

Exactly.. Alot of question answered about the QB, The HC, OC and GM .. All for low risk of future paralysis... Add in the fact that they might even be able to improve to down spots on the team giving (if needed) a new QB a better team around him. Giving up a 2nd round pick hurts but reality is.. Not as much as what I was really ready to give up for Watson, and Lawrence and maybe for Stafford, , and Zac Wilson. ..
