And then reality is there isn’t many opportunities to trade 3 picks for a known championship commodity.. All of this comes with risk.. But depending on team situation you have to decide which risk is worth taking…

I disagree.. If elite is the “Generational talent” distinction.. Only 3 QB’s got that treatment.. Elway, Luck and Lawrence..

Burrows, Allen, nor Mahomes we’re seen as elite Prospects. That’s 3 of the top 5 in the league looked at like the QB’s in this draft..

And that’s where my problem comes.. Him not getting on field development until he’s 27 and his 2nd contract being a issue as he turns 31..

He won’t even be playing next year if reality exists.. His injury happened way to late in the season for this dude to play next year.. Especially without the risk of further injury happening..

Trade what you have to and get the QB.. Plain and simple We’re are finally in position to make this move a success..

I don’t know why the media keeps putting out the talking points of his agents.. Because he tore his ACL way Late in the season and in no way is he going to be ready for camp.. It takes at least a year and a half of rehab to feel normal not to mention the mental aspects of recovery.. I doubt he plays at all next year without seriously being at risk for re-injury.. And it will be year 2 before he feels normal on his knees..

Really because 2 in this draft were way better passer then Herbert in college… And If Physical talent is your point then Levi’s and Richardson are just as talented physically.. Ppl don’t remember Herbert was great at OU

But again that’s wasn’t a planned event.. They didn’t stop bringing in WR’s and just knew Smitty was it.. Actually his 1st season was mainly using him as a Punt and Kick returner.. He outplayed other players brought in.. The Ssme Corral has to do.. It’s completely clueless thinking just giving a 3rd round pick a job after proven nothing…

He could benefit to.. I actually I hope he does because that could be a major trade piece for us if he does.. But that can’t be your plan.. You can’t go into the season with Matt Corral as your main option to be a starter????Especially when you are in range to get better more physically talented Prospects..This FO and staff wouldn’t last the year.. He was a 3rd round pick for a reason..

Who has won nothing and put up meaningless stats.. At this point he’s Kurt Cousin lite and wants Cousin money.. But you’re right he’s proven in 8 years he has a ceiling and that ceiling needs a lot of help that his contract demands won’t help you get.. I can’t understand ppl fascination with quick fixes to mediocre?? Smh

I don’t understand how this plan by now isn’t clear to some ppl.. They’ve had plenty chances not to go this path.. 1. Trading CMC for picks then not trading Burns.. So you get the picks to get your QB but don’t effect the defense.. 2. If they wanted a vet FA option.. They could have save themselves from the grief of not picking Wilks.. Get Carr and run it back with a better QB.. They didn’t do that.. 3. Bringing in not 1 but 3 QB whispers (Reich, Caldwell, and Mccown).. Why does a vet QB need this many QB guys on staff?? A rookie does.. They’ve been clear about the plan since Rhule was fired..

Totally agree.. And while ppl want to act like Corral was on a bad team in college.. He played with or 3 pro WR’s and Oline men.. Aj brown Mitchell and DK were on that Ole Miss team at 1 point while Corral was The QB..

Not to mention.. This should be and is expected to be a better team based off professionals coaching alone.. So we won’t be near Williams or Maye anyway and probably looking to give up more to get them..

For Stroud or Young and the staff and team we have I’d do it.. Jmo

I would still go for Levi’s or Richardson with this staff over Carr… I’ve seen his calling and it’s maybe a playoff win here or there and still looking for a QB.. While paying him way more money then a rookie..
