I remember.. But you also weren't vocally against the Horn pick either..

I'm not saying it wasn't a few Slater ppl .. But the bigger vocal group was Field ppl.. And Even if ppl did want Slater I get it but I understand the thinking on the Horn picked and saw alot of analysts and board members play the I told you so role when they didn't..

He and Surtain were rated top 12 players in that draft by most of not all sites.. Slater was mocked to go between 10 and 15.. The Cowboys were trying to trade up to get 1 of the Cb's.. Alot of us wanted Olinemen since 2015.. I got that and it hasn't been addressed.. But I'm not going to go back on what I thought before the draft just because it didn't plan out like I thought.. Or fake like I had a different opinion.. I thought Oline and CB were high priority and had more questions about Slater then i did horn.. That iui s the truth .

The board ?? Really that what we're going with?? I'm talking about after it had been reported by most Panthers beat writers that it was down to Sewell or one of the CB.. It's not a stretch at all if somebody post the 1st round draft pick thread.. It wasn't alot of ppl crying or pissed about the Jaycee Horn pick.. And the ppl who were the most vocal and iffy about the pick were Fields ppl.. You keep saying need vs BPA.. What was our starting Secondary before that pick.. Djax, Bouye (missing 1st part of the season) Melvin and Troy Pride?? Really CB wasn't a need at that time??

Oline should have been a Priority ... Yes we got that.. But so was Secondary.. Especially when last year we couldn't stop any passing team.. Ppl keep playing the hindsight 20/20 game now when their opinion wasn't the same before.. Draft night this board was happy about the Horn pick and only ppl who wanted Fields made their opinion known.. Ppl were just as mad about giving up 3rd and anything last season as they did with the blocking situation.. And reality check almost nobody questioned Horn being a shut down Cb.. You had most analysts calling him Jaylen Ramsey 2.0... Last he could have lied and said thrown his scouting department and Fitt under the bus.. But he didn't.. He didn't trash Slater all he did was told the truth about what they were thinking 9 months ago.. They didn't have the necromancer ability to see that Slater would be a pro bowler.. How can you blame them for going with the higher rated player at a position if need?? That's what you want your team to do when drafting.. Instead of drafting a lower rated player based on perceived higher need..

Becton looks like Otah right now and the knee and leg problems for a man that big scares me.. If the Jets take a OT in this draft we will have a idea about his Medicals.. I like Willis.. But again if we go back and not use Hindsight 20/20.. We had nothing at DT when we made that pick.. Remember Poe, McCoy, Butler, Addison and Irving all gone.. All we had was Burns, Haynes and KK.. We needed to draft Dlinmen.. And Brown was the highest rated Dlinmen on the board..

He actually did say that.. That is the problem with ppl listening with angry ears.. He said they had Sewell and Horn rank the highest and it was hard with Slater because of him missing a season and the height length thing and they saw him like alot of ppl as a guard...

I'm still happy we took him over Becton and Wills... Now Wirfs I can be sold on... But again Brown was the highest rated player at a position we needed at that time.. We only had a injury prone KK on the roster at that time..

It's crazy and if we brought back receipts half this board would look just like Rhule because most if not all Loved the Horn pick that night... And to be truly honest the ppl who wanted a different player wanted Fields!! Not Slater or Parsons... Plain and Simple Horn and Surtain were rated higher then Slater..And Cb was a needed position..

This Is BS.. Cause even if we had great Tackle play the interior gave up the most pressure and Sam would still be our QB and Still suck... So acting like anything would be different with better OT play is a opinion not fact.. If we had a Shut Down CB on defense maybe we win the Washington, Dallas, Minnesota, Philly and Dolphins game with Horn shutting down half the field... But again that isn't a fact either.. ALL I'm saying I can't play the hindsight 20/20 game on this 1 decision because I think Horn was a higher rated player in just as important position..

Horn is a dog whether you want to believe it or not.. I promise Terry Mclaurin doesn't have the 1st half against Horn he did against DJax.. Smith in the Philly Game doesn't get off with Horn..
