  1. It wouldn't matter if CMC was still here. He's doing what he's doing in SF because he has an offensive HC and an OC who are creative and try to maximize his skill set. The damage was done to this team in the offseason keeping limp d*ck Matt Rhule and hiring an inept offensive coordinator.
  2. Rookie WRs are making impacts all over the league. Wilson, Olave, London, St. Brown, Smith and others are showing rookies can get it done. Jefferson and Chase are elite level WRs, but to pretend these other guys have no impact is foolish.
  3. No disagreement they'll likely get killed by a competent team. If the rest of the NFC south had even 1 team worth a damn, there would be no need to have this discussion, but we really do have a good chance at winning 3 or 4 of the next 4. We're not in a position to tank and get a top 2 or 3 pick with the remainder of our schedule the way it is, so fug it. Let's win the whole fuggin thing.
  4. Games still have meaning so no need to tank yet.
  5. Campen has made a huge difference in the coaching of this group. Pay Bozeman, keep drafting oline every year. Keep this unit deep and strong.
  6. We're not cursed. This is what happens when you constantly get defensive coaches who don't realize the NFL now caters to high powered offenses. It is hard to hold teams to 17 anymore with all the rule changes favoring offense. We aren't playing 80s football anymore.
  7. Panthers aren't cursed. We just never had a creative OC or HC smart enough to use his skills.
  8. Good thing those 2 things are really easy to get. Playoff caliber QBs are so easy to get that every NFL team has one. We're more than those 2 things away from seriously competing. We also need a WR1, help in our LB core, secondary, OC, DC, TE not to mention the players we will inevitably lose to FA.
  9. The timing is a huge part. We aren't going to be a serious playoff caliber team in 2 years, maybe 3. That will put Burns in year 4 of his contract before we could realistically expect a playoff run, maybe year 5. By that point we're either extending him, trading him, or he could be out of the league due to injury. I think Burns is a very good player, not elite (yet), but those picks plus salary could have the potential to take us further than Burns can alone.
  10. He also played in a less than creative offense for his massive skill set.
  11. I like how they said he was deemed a runner at that point. He has to have to ball to be a runner.
  12. It's OK to hit the QB 5 steps after the ball is gone in Seattle.
  13. Having an elite edge rusher is nice but if your offense can't score more than 17 a game, you're going to lose a lot of football games.
  14. Baker was always the wrong QB for McAdoo's offense. It is truly baffling how Rhule or Ben had a job this offseason. When a casual fan can see this debacle on the horizon during preseason, it's speaks volumes to what opposing DCs can see every week. God Tepper sucked Rhule meatballs.
  15. Not really crowning Baker. Just a huge revelation how big of a problem Ben McAdoo and this turd of an offense actually is.
  16. It's called adjusting. The offensive playbook was poo the first 5 games and has been ever since. You can change plays. You don't have to change the entire playbook but trying to run RPO with a QB that can't run will not work. There are things that could be pulled out of the playbook and new things put in. It's not like Baker has had months to learn an entire new scheme in LA. He had 2 days. They made a plan that fit the QB, not make the QB fit the plan. And he looked better tonight than he has in months in Carolina. Wilks is the HC. He can tell Ben to stop running the stuff that doesn't work.
  17. Hey Ben. How about designing a game plan for the players we actually have.
