The Worst Stretch in Panthers History is Finally Behind Us
SmokinwithWilly replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Rhule Era has the same feeling of seeing all your friends playing Super Mario Bros and you're still rocking asteroids on your 2600. -
I'd ask for 2 and 12 but I'd settle for 2 and 33. A 3rd is no reason to move out of 1.

A Quantitative Analysis of the Panthers-Bears Trade
SmokinwithWilly replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
They really weren't close to a playoff caliber team. Getting in with a losing record and actually being able to be competitive are very different. That said, with the right QB I think we are much closer. Maybe by the end of year 2 we have the ability to make a serious run. But man I think we're close. -
Corral bros.... what do we do now?????
SmokinwithWilly replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
You do know Rhule was the driving force behind all of those decisions. It's hard to play poker with other GMs with all your cards face up on the table. -
If they have equal grades on 2 QBs, and they can get 2 and 12, take that in a heartbeat. Even 2 and 33 I would do. You would really have to know for sure the Texans loved Young so we could still get CJ.

Schefter: Tepper likes Young, Reich likes Stroud

He couldn't force it. Watson tossed Carolina from the running. If he hadn't, I fully believe Watson would have been a Panther. -

Tepper was the driving force behind acquiring Watson. We did contract restructuring just to make cap room for the trade. When that fell apart we ended up with Baker as the consolation prize. -
He could be better with an offensive playbook that wasn't stolen from a high school coaches office.

Place your bets here!!! Who will it be?

Trade down to 4, get Indys first, 2025 2nd, and Michael Pittman. Still draft Will Levis. -
So then, we’ve got a WR corps to build. What do y’all got?

See what he's got in TC. There's no need to trade or cut him yet. He got 3 or 4 snaps in practice and then broke his foot. At worst, he's a camp cut. At best, he can also be developed and then traded like the Patriots did with Jimmy G. -
The Darnold price tag was because Rhule was a fuging idiot. You can't go into negotiations desperate and he had already played his hand with T2G. We got taken because the Jets knew we were going to have to pay for someone because we had no one.

Bears MB saying that we were trying to offer 3 1sts but they wanted Moore. Not sure how much of that is true.

Now you have to hope we draft the right one.
