  1. I think the same thing I thought before the draft. In 2 years we're going to have BY in the same category as Zach Wilson, Sam Darnold and Trey Lance. He played behind one of the best olines which gave him time. This isn't college and these defenders aren't college level. I think the game is too big and fast now. I also hope I'm wrong. Time will tell.
  2. I know it doesn't happen with interdivisional trades, but I could see something like London and Pitts for Burns
  3. If we're trading Burns it needs to be at the deadline to a team that is in serious SB contention like the Rams thought they were. Trading him now would only yield less and at 0-4 and already realistically out of the playoff hunt given what we've seen so far and based on history, we won't get max value. Personally, I don't want Tepper, his wife, Fitts or Frank making a pick next year.
  4. Makes perfect sense for them and we're desperate enough to do something monumentally stupid so.... Teppermagic
  5. If they can swap Burns for Jeudy they'd be ecstatic, especially since Mims is the better receiver. It's the only reason I have for why SP won't play Mims. They need Jeudy to do something so they can trade him.
  6. Bad picks are one thing but panic picks are something else. We've seen it in back to back years, first with MC and now with DJ Johnson. You can't have a GM that panics.
  7. If he's eating completely carnivore, then yes, it's plant based food.
  8. Not going to go back and link all the reports to the contrary. He hasnt hired a team president/ceo to run the gront office. He kept Hurney. He hired Rhule. He fired him a season too late. He hired Reich. He hired Fitts. His wife is making trades and interviewing prospects, both coaching and players with zero NFL experience, he has made his position well known on Watson to the point of affecting what other signings the team made. If you don't think he's got his nose in the business you're blind.
  9. Could be a problem with the Rooney rule if he did it too quickly though. Would be a legitimate complaint that Frank was hired to lose to move the team. Other candidates weren't given a genuine chance to be hired for a head coaching position for the right reasons.
  10. Also a side effect of having old school coaches. They're coaching like it's 30 years ago. We're being led by guys the modern game has left behind.
  11. Just because you can fix anything with a motor doesn't mean you can perform heart surgery. Running a hedge fund has nothing to do with running an NFL team.
  12. My pick was always Steichen. How do you look at what he did in Philly and say nope, Frank Reich is an offensive genius? It's offensive alright.
  13. Maybe it's because I'm out in the PNW, but Burns doesn't get near the love as he does in Carolina. I have to listen to to Seahags, 9ers, and Broncos fans mostly and they all say the same thing. If you want to neutralize Burns, run at him. The Seahags fans I know were more worried about Luvu than Burns. I don't get the sense they have the same value on him as a player than Panthers fans do.
  14. Or you could say because we can't make a deal, we'd be willing to take less just to get something. I think it all comes down to how bad Fitts fugged this up and also what's the contract number Burns really wants. If it's Bosa numbers, we may have less buyers than we hope.
  15. That's going to really depend on how bad Fitts has fugged up this contract situation. If everyone knows we are far apart and aren't a contender for playoffs, then they wait unless they are hoping to make a SB run like the Rams were. Burns makes it to FA, even with the tag, the Panthers have almost zero leverage to negotiate anything. The longer we wait, the weaker we get in terms of trade value.
  16. FA should be used to get the last few pieces you need to make a SB run. Paying big contracts in FA to build your team is pretty much a way you guarantee consistent top 10 pick.
  17. Can we trade JJ for TMJ straight up. We'll eat the 13m and TMJ can go ride the pine in Denver. Mims looks like the real deal but for whatever reason Peyton won't play him more.
  18. At this point, how much worse can it be. Either he's competent or he's not. What we have now is an absolute joke of an NFL offense.
  19. Been a strategy of mine for years now unfortunately
  20. The fans have taken lumps for 6 straight years. Its hard to listen to be patient when 3 other rookie coaches are showing significant signs of getting it together and we're plodding along. If you don't trust BY to make those throws, why is he starting? Limiting your playbook to help your QB only helps the defense. We can't run because defenses don't respect the deep ball. Our oline is playing like poo, no doubt, and that is a huge problem, probably the biggest if we're being honest, and playcalling isn't far behind. I'm not saying BY may not end up being good, I hope to hell he is. But right now, you have to play to win and if that's Dalton, so be it. Either win, or Frank and Fitts can both GTFO.
  21. The problem with this statement is, if you don't trust Bryce, he doesn't need to be starting. If they trust Dalton more, and he's performing better in practice and game situations, then he needs to be starting. I know it's not the norm for a number 1 pick to ride the bench, but if he's not read, he's not ready. We're looking at a potential 1-2 win season right now if things keep going the way they are. If winning matters at all, you start your best option, no matter who it is.
  22. It's going to end up being what Kobe did to the NBA just before he was drafted. Charlotte just happened to be the ones to go through with the worst trade in NBA history.
