    I get what you're saying. That's why I thought Dalton was such a horrible signing. We needed a QB2 like Jameis, Brissett, Howell. DC needed just much evaluation on his offense as Bryce did as a QB. DC's play calling still looks like ass, but you can’t tell if it's DC or Bryce or a combo because there was no real QB2 to run it the one week Bryce was out.

    Wtf are you even talking about. Bowles didn't rely on Baker. He relied on his running game because they were chewing us up. Baker made some key throws under pressure to avoid sacks and didn't screw up the finish. It was obvious what the game plan was with our limp dick offense. Chew up the game clock because we can't put points on the board in chunks.

    Yes. Tampa sold out on stopping the run game and dared us to beat them with Bryce. Same thing Seattle did. Same thing NO did. The offense is built around Bryce and smart defensive coordinators aren't scared of him at all.

    Jimmy was a 2nd round pick not the 1st overall. Expectations are different. If Bryce had been held to the same standards as Jimmy, this would have been over halfway into year 1.

    Actually, Jimmy only got us a single number 1 overall. So far Bryce has netted us a 1st overall, 8, and we've yet to see what this year gives us.

    Because defensive strategy is simple now. Stack the box and sell out to stop the run and make Bryce beat you. Bryce can't do that for 4 quarters as has been seen for 3 seasons.

    I know. But the reference was that Lamar is the only one who played out his entire 5th year. People talk like Bryce will too just because we throw it out there when the reality is, he most likely won't. QBs want those extensions and the huge payday that comes with them.

    Lamar is the only recent 1st round QB to play all 5 years of his 5th. The others were either cut or extended before the 5th year and those contracts were all massive. Bryce getting 55m a year would be insane.

    Because he’s not a good QB and is holding our offense back. 2700 passing yards in 16 games is hot garbage. If he wasn’t 1st overall, he’d be cut by now. You don’t pay a 30m plus option for a QB that is putting up QB3 production.
