I love seeing Ryans and that team. He was leading my wish list for HC candidates after Steichen and Johnson only because I wanted an offensive oriented HC. If we had gone defensive, it would have been Ryans right from the start.

The difference is the 9ers still had a QB in Garrappalo in their pocket. We had nothing. While missing on Lance hurt for them it wasn't the end of the world. Missing on Bryce for us is a death sentence for wins for the next 2 to 3 years.

Based on what we've seen so far. Maybe round 4, but UDFA wouldn't surprise me at all.

Bryce tops Russel. Russel didn't cost what the Panthers paid.

She was on the fuging phone making the trade up for DJ Johnson. She had to take a class to be able to be part of the interview process for HC. She was at the interview with BY. She was present with the coaches at player evaluations. Please. Please. Explain to me what qualifications she has to be any part of those things.

This is what happens when the person making HC decisions has to complete her mandatory class so she can be part of the NFL process.

It's not hindsight. Everyone was hyping Stroud until that stupid S2 test was released. CJ is getting it done, BY isn't.

The only real reason I can think of is we need to know what we have for next season and Frank isn't helping anyone. Throw away this pitiful offense and try something else. If these guys suck still, let em walk.

The worst part about a lot of these is they were called out when they happened. It's one thing to have hindsight once in a while, but when you look at it as a fan and the majority of the time, you were right, it's just frustrating and sickening.

The most disturbing thing to me was the panic move to trade up for MC and DJ Johnson being almost identical. Fitts panicked during the draft and admitted to doing so. That tells me 2 very problematic things. 1. He doesn't understand positional value with regards to picks and 2. He can't feel the flow of the draft. You need to be on the leading edge of positional runs, not the tail end. That's how you overpay and over draft players.

It doesn't matter who's fired, the problem will still be here. When one of the 6 people conducting coaching interviews had to finish a class first, you're fugged.

We already changed the scheme when Frank got here. If you look at what he's run his entire career it's everything this line is not built to do. This shouldn't be a surprise.

But someone with NFL exec experience can look at a coach like Frank and a roster like ours and see they aren't built for each other. Doing that would have made someone realize trading so many picks and DJ away would make it extremely difficult to rebuild a roster to fit that offensive scheme. At that point they should have seen BY wasn't ready to be dropped in as a plug and play QB. That's the difference between Tepper and an NFL exec.

Embrace the nightmare.

I dont think the Huddle hates Frank. I hate this offense and the position his poor decisions have put us in. 200 years of NFL experience has made him and this staff stuck in their ways.
