Normally I'd cheer but I'm playing against Zeke and Dak in my fantasy league

I'll be really happy with his contract if it makes that 2nd were giving up for Darnold closet to a 3rd than a 1st.

Do you think we have a realistic shot after a loss tomorrow?

CAM NEWTON IS NOT THE ANSWER. THIS IS A MISTAKE.
SmokinwithWilly replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Love bringing back Cam but I'm not crazy about the money. With salary cap space rolling over and considering what he signed for with the Patriots this seems like we bid against ourselves again. A+ for the signing, D for the cost. -
Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

Depends on if we plan on drafting a QB or trying to entice one here. If we have a situation to grab a top LT and possibly a guard and center in the upcoming draft I think we take it. Build the line, and we might be able to entice a Stafford to come here if that's the avenue we choose.

Maybe not career but at least a lengthy suspension. Definitely not good.

Don't forget all the designer clothes. That poo aint cheap.

With Cam and if our line could give him the almost 3 seconds Sam has been getting, we could see some wins even with Brady as OC. So naturally we sign Matt freaking Barkley. I thought he retired 5 years ago.

For fug's sake... it's like Rhule is channeling his inner Marty Hurney gut instincts.

I know I felt intimidated. -
Nfl going out of its way to protect a white qb in NE. Sounds vaguely familiar.

The concerning things about all this...

At this point I don't trust Rhules qb evaluation. Let's see the qbs on the PS. Nothing to lose since we're already doing that. -
Scott Fiterer - mid season grade
SmokinwithWilly replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll give Fitt a C overall. Rhule wanted Sam. While I don't like the way he's played, the actual trade itself was a good one if Rhule had him graded higher than any QB not named Lawrence or Wilson. Elf and Irving I give a D. Too soon and too much for what they were on day 1 no less. The draft has yet to be determined. We had so many holes just being able to field a team was going to be difficult. There are definitely things I would have done differently, Slater, a C and Trey Smith, but you never know how things are going to fall once the season starts. Hell, Marshall could be the next Randy Moss but it doesn't matter if he never gets the opportunity. Rhule is on a much shorter leash for me and his off-season I give an F, and in season I won't even give a participation trophy. -
A near sighted lap dance from Mama June. Same amount of pain.
-
Trey Smith should have been the pick. Depending on how our medical staff felt about his clotting situation, their opinion could have weighed heavily on our decision to pass on him. It sucks that we missed out on him considering what we have attempted to call guards all season.

Ain't buying it. He's holding on for dear life because he thinks Burns has the ball even though everyone else is running away from him.

That should be the end of Jones season. Obviously Mac Jones is old enough to get the (no)call.

The OC should have been able to look at Darnolds tape prior to signing him and said, this guy can't run my offense. Now 9 games into the season, he's still on the field and still can't run the offense. At some point you either believe you have what it takes and Rhule won't listen to you, you look terrible, and get fired, or you walk to save your career. He ain't walking so...
