  1. The coddling was more about him not playing in preseason than just being named starter.
  2. No. It's just a other instance of dozens where the huddle is going to be right and Rhule will be wrong. Again.
  3. That was his big concern coming out of college. That much weight on the knees and ankles is just brutal. I was 375 at one time and in a poo ton of pain and once I dropped 125, the relief was immense.
  4. The only reason is he has game experience and that is worth something, albeit not much. If we carry 3 QBs it makes sense to keep him over Walker. If some team loses their starter during the year, they may be desperate enough to trade a future late rounder for him. That's all I've got.
  5. At this point, Baker should be 1 and Darnold and Corral should be competing for 2. We have several ridiculous camp competitions going on right now. Get your 1s practicing together. New center and new QB is going to take some time for rhythm and trust to develop. Enough with the college shenanigans.
  6. If I'm playing keeper league, I'm keeping JT over CMC. I know CMC is more potential in a PPR but has less value in standard scoring. 4 years until CMC hits the 30 wall too. Depends on if you see yourself moving on from JT soon
  7. As a Michigan Wolverines fan, Rhule being hired at Ohio State and bringing his success from Carolina there.
  8. We are desperate. It takes time for these guys to learn and trust each other. You can't just plug and play wherever and expect it to work flawlessly. We have potentially 4 new starters on our OL. I like BC. He's a tackle, not a guard. He should have played LT last year but he didn't get the opportunity. Now we have 2 guys at LT. Ickey needs to start if you plan on him being the LT of the future. BC needs to work as swing tackle if he's not going to start. He's not an IOL. This BS of making guys earn their spot is comical. This isn't Vince Papalli and the Eagles. You drafted the best offensive lineman in the draft, by FO opinion, and he has to earn his spot? C'mon. This isn't Rhule hate. This is just fuging stupid and pathetic moves by a college coach.
  9. Hopefully it helps. It doesn't take a huge hit to cause severe brain damage. The right position of the body and your spine and neck can't bend to absorb impact, then that small hit amplifies dramatically. Think about the stick you use to toss a ball for your dog and how much more force you can generate from the same amount of effort. Same thing can happen with your head. Unfortunately I know to much about this from personal experience.
  10. I'm not so sure anymore. SB50 was an obvious fix but it wasn't the first and won't be the last. Players and teams are held to completely different standards based on market size. No consistency, no accountability, no integrity and owners turn a blind eye because they all get profit sharing. Roger Goodell was the worst thing to ever happen to the NFL.
  11. It's really starting to feel like boxing back before it took a nosedive. You know it's corrupt. You know it's rigged. They just don't give a poo because they don't have to.
  12. There better be a really good explanation for the suspension length or I think there will be some serious repercussions among fans, especially women. Right now it clearly sends the message that as long as you're a star, you can do whatever the hell you want. But hey, the next time another player is accused of something like this we should expect him to dress for a game, but only be required to sit out the 1st quarter.
  13. I feel you pain bro. I pinched a nerve in my back and couldn't move for 5 days from turning sideways when my wife called my name. Getting old sucks.
  14. You can't use your franchise QB as a battering ram from day 1 and expect a long career from him. Hundreds of hits add up, even if your name is Cam Newton. It was always being brought up that RB careers are over by 30 with a few rare exceptions. They get beaten and battered and fall apart. We didn't have a RB so we used Cam. We had an inept OC, so we used Cam. We put everything on Cam and well, his body broke. Sorry, but this falls squarely onto the shoulders of Ron Rivera.
  15. 4 concussions. 3 grade 1, 1 grade 2. 26 years later some of the original symptoms are now coming back to the forefront. Not terrible but noticeable as I've gotten older. Also had my knee bent sideways and that pretty much ended my football career. It was never the same after.
  16. There was no answer for Clete.
  17. Defense wasn't great last year but that was hardly the issue. Our offense looked like a nursing home scooter race. Welcome to the Dependy 500.
  18. Hot day. First real practice. Being sore isn't that surprising.
  19. Gotta get his reps in before putting him on IR for the season.
  20. Murray isn't good enough to carry that team. And with a contract that size they can't really afford to pay anyone else to carry them either. I know QB is important but if you can't build around them, what's the point in a big contract.
