  1. I'd say BC to LT and Icky to RT. Bc looked good there at the end of last year and he would take on the better of the 2 edge guys most likely.
  2. It's like they're allergic to watching film before they trade for these guys. Ironically, the best qb play we've had has been from T2G playing his short, checkdown passing offense which is what we all knew he was.
  3. What JStew said on the podcast is correct. This team has no identity. With Rivera and Fox, it was smash mouth run game, pass to support and hard hit defense. Like it or not, we knew what to expect every week. Dan Campbell in Detroit in his opening interview said they were going to be an in your face, aggressive team. Day 1, he set his identity as the leader of the team. Year 3. What do we have? The Brand. Yeah. Everyone knows whatever the hell that is supposed to be. We're run one week, pass the next. 5 QBs in 35 games. 3rd OC. Guys out of position. Players have to execute, but they need confidence knowing what exactly they are trying to do. This team looks lost and that sits squarely on the shoulders of Rhule.
  4. I know I am at my lowest point right now. Even in the 1-15 years I had faith in JR. I have none in Tepper.
  5. Thus is why I can't judge all pur picks yet. I have no idea if they are actually bad or if they are being put routinely in bad positions. What I can say for certain is it generally takes Rhule about 4x longer to see player strength and weaknesses than it should, sometimes longer, sometimes not at all. Perfect example is Chinn. Why the hell he is playing as a safety when his abilities were on display in full close to the ball is beyond me. Chinn looks like JAG but we all have seen he is much more than that.
  6. So after firing Fitts after 1 year, which GM are you bringing in? What GM is coming here knowing that have realistically no chance to do their job before they're fired? We might as well be offering a job as HC of the Browns.
  7. What more could/should he Have done in 1 year? Give the man a chance to swim without the Rhule anchor around his neck.
  8. You can't replace everyone every year. Who's offensive scheme was he supposed to get pieces for? Brady's? McAdoo? McAdoo was always a bad choice of OC for a guy like CMC. His offense is rudimentary and doesn’t begin to use the skills of 2 powerhouse pieces in DJ and CMC. Tepper said get an offense rockstar and we got a Whitesnake cover band. Rhule said he wanted to run a power run game. So we got Ickey, Bozeman, Corbitt, all guys who are run oriented linemen. Now Rhule wants to go pass heavy. How is that Fitts fault? Rhule changed his philosophy 2 weeks ago. Snows defense is college level. Horn is essentially a rookie, and CJ is in his first full year on a new team. Slater should have been the pick, but Rhule graded him as a guard instead of the all pro tackle he is. Chinn has been playing out of position making him JAG. A good coach plans his schemes around the players he has. He uses their strengths and minimizes their weaknesses. Rhule does the exact opposite. I'm not saying Scott is or isn't a brilliant GM. I'm just saying we have too little information to make that decision with any degree of certainty. 1 year really isn't enough time to gain that. He's been part of assembling a team with 2 SB appearances and 1 victory. Matt Rhule has not done a fuging thing in 3 years to prove he should be anything more than a mid level college coach. Yet you're willing to fire Fitts because he hasn't shown he's a top level GM in 1. If you fire Rhule and don't like who he's bring in as candidates for HC or what his team building philosophy is, then fire him too. Just don't declare him a bust yet because Matt Rhule pulled off the biggest scam paydays in the NFL.
  9. I'm not saying Matt Rhule is the entire problem. I'm saying Matt Rhule is a HUGE problem and judging Fitts competence as a GM based on a guy he had no input in choosing and has no choice in firing is not a fair assessment of his abilities. He could be the next Brandon Beane but you wouldn't know because you're focused on blaming him for the incompetence of Tepper and Rhule. He's done his job as GM for Matt Rhule. He's gotten the pieces that fit the head coach's coaching philosophy. Now whether or not Rhule can actually use those pieces correctly is not up to him. You keep saying he's been bad. What has he done, that was solely his choice, that was bad that was worthy of him being fired after 1 season?
  10. He was always a project QB. Thats what 3rd round QBs are. He should have been given some time to develop properly but instead he was 4th on the depth chart during a bullshit QB competition when it always should have been Baker 1, Sam 2, MC 3 and Walker hitting the pavement. But again, you're blaming Fitts for Rhule's incompetence. You don't draft a QB in the 3rd round to stick him behind a CFL qb. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows this except for... you know who.
  11. You're going to judge a guy as success or failure because he gets 3 snaps in practice while a guy who never legitimately had a chance to make any team baring injuries got 50% in preseason. He never stood a chance against Rhule's pet project.
  12. No. I'm saying this team might not suck if it weren't for Rhule. As GM, he's done his job bringing in pieces that fit Matt Rhule's philosophy. It's not his fault Rhules philosophy is poo.
  13. Fitts is getting Rhule the players he wants based on the measurables and abilities he values. That's his job as a GM. Without Tepper in his ear, I fully believe he would have fired Rhule at the end of last year. We could have been in a better position this year. We didn't need a QB competition. It was over the minute Baker was acquired. We were already behind on OTA's but yet Rhule still felt the need to play Walker more than anyone else in preseason. That was stupid. Playing time is more effective than practice or study time. We didn't need a oline competition. We drafted a LT specializing in run blocking, so naturally we've become a pass heavy offense. We brought in a new center and guard, but still keep playing the Elf and have Jordon active on gameday despite him being god awful. Rhule spent a long time trying people all over the place to end up exactly where we all knew we would before camp even started. We kept 7 WRs but only play 2 or 3. What's the point. We have a guy in Higgins who gets crazy separation but he never sees the field. Hurney got Bridgewater, paid him 60 mil then dumped him after 1 season. We overpaid to get Darnold, gave him the 5th year, but that's the guy Rhule wanted. We have Chinn being played out of position after winning 2 DRotM and he should have been DROY. Burns is being dropped back into coverage constantly as our only real pass rusher. We have the worst pass catching offensive piece fielding kickoffs and surprise, surprise, he fumbles. Do you think Fitts drafted Chuba to be a kickoff specialist? Our offense is boring. This is basic offense 101 and it sure as hell looks like it. There's no creativity, no innovation, nothing. We have one of the most explosive RBs in the NFL and we don't use him in the passing game where he's excelled. We traded a 3rd rounder for CJ. Based on his talent set, that's a good trade. Jacksonville was a crapshow and Meyer wanted him gone. Even if he is average, that's worth it for that pick and remainder of his contract. If he turns into more, because of his rd 1 measurables, then we win. Almost our entire coaching staff is from either Baylor or Temple. There's little to no NFL experience here. This team was gutted of players and 2 drafts is not going to fix all of that. There's talent on this team. There are pieces that are good if they get put in a position to succeed. Fitts has gotten Rhule who he wanted. He's doing the job he was hired to do by Tepper, get Rhule his players for a 7 year rebuild. It's not his fault Rhule has no idea what to do with them. Are they all perfect or all working out? Of course not. At the end of the day, you have to have someone who is more than a college coach to succeed in the NFL and we definitely do not have that. This team is boring, bland, with no innovation, no motivation, no swag and a coach who's 3-4 weeks slower on realizing basic NFL concepts than fans from a message board. Saying this is Fitts fault is an overreaction. He's made mistakes. Every NFL GM has. But to say he's responsible for the ongoing stupidity of Rhule isn't fair. This is Tepper's man and only he is going to get to say when he's fired. A real NFL coach is put in charge and this team goes from 3-5 wins to 8-9 this year, and the future is looking brighter.
  14. End of the day, Tepper is choosing the new HC. Our only hope is that whoever our GM is can put some candidates in front of him. Now if we fire Fitts with Rhule, what GM worth anything is going to come here knowing that they aren't even going to get a legitimate chance to actually do anything? You're ready to fire him after 1 season. Who's coming here on such a short leash? We'll end up in the same position we were trying to find a new OC. Do you really want Ben McAdoo of GMs?
  15. I haven't been blown away yet either, but when I ask myself if these guys have been put in a position to succeed, there's Matt Rhule spewing some poo we've all known for months like it's some new revelation. This team desperately needs some Cam/TD/Norman type swagger and it's just not here. Bad leaders drag everyone else down.
  16. You're right there. But if we're looking for a wide eyed, innovative offensive play caller, the first names that pop into my head 10 out of 10 times don't include Ben McAdoo.
  17. True, but I think you have to take that chance. Seattle is a shitshow. If he had stayed, no one is hiring him out of that situation now. If you look at what he's done since he got here, he's gotten pieces. He's acquired pieces according to what his coaches philosophy is. He's done some good things in the draft, but obviously some could have been better. Overall, to judge Fitt that poorly to fire him, you have to look at him and say this team is in a bad situation because of what he's done as a GM and I just don't think you can make that call. The laughing stock that is the Carolina Panthers sits on Matt Rhule's shoulders. I seriously can't think of another coach 3 years in the league who's put his team in a worse position to succeed. It's purely speculation, but I feel Scott wanted him gone at the end of last year. You could see it in his body language at the end of season presser that he wasn't buying what Matt Rhule was selling. I genuinely think Scott and Dan could do a good job and build a good team, we just need Dave and Matt to gtfo of the way.
  18. BofA septic system to be able to handle all the bullshit he spews on a regular basis.
  19. There's only 32 of these jobs in the world. Even if it's not the best situation, you still don't turn down the opportunity because you don't know when you'll get another.
