  1. Cowboys will crush her dreams week 18 needing 1 win to secure a playoff spot with a field goal and 2 score lead then fumble the snap, defense recovers and scampers 68 yards for a TD to end yet another's season of hopes and dreams.
  2. If I had to guess what dirt he has it involves players long term health, especially concussions, and fixing games.
  3. Go listen to his BLeav podcast. Dude drops some serious knowledge. I've gone back and listened to most of his podcasts from the past year just because I like hearing him talk football.
  4. Dude, everyone knows pancakes are superior to waffles for breakfast. They fold like a soft taco shell to stack your bacon, sausage and eggs complete with shredded cheese.
  5. I live out in the PNW and RW was not well liked. He was seen as an egotistical asshole that held the franchise back after his SB win because his way was best. They're happy to have moved on and got better production out of Geno who is a better fit in what Carroll wants to do.
  6. It's hard to know who was in charge of what because Rhule was a micromananger with his hands in everything. There were rumors that some of Rhules power was taken away during the off-season and we appear to have made some better choices. There was no direction in the HC office and that's clearly evident by the way the roster was handled. Hell, Dunlap wanted to come here but Fitts couldn't promise him a starting role because of Rhule's stupid camp competitions. Rhule loved reclamation projects. Notice how many of the trades involved reclamation projects Rhule thought he could fix. You could tell Fitts was done with Rhule at last year's end of season presser.
  7. Most of it was on Steve Wilks, the kind of coach he is, the kind of man he is, and the kind of intensity he brings. Mentioned how he looked forward to his locker room speeches and he thinks he could be the guy for Carolina. Also mentioned that he thinks that bringing in Wilks and Holcomb was planned for this very reason which would go with the rumor Wilks wasn't necessarily a Rhule choice. You could hear the excitement in his voice. He talked some about Rhule and the locker room, but nothing extremely negative about the man. Thinks he's a great college coach but transitioning from college to the pros is completely different, recruitment vs FA, and his staff just didn't have enough experience.
  8. If we're going to move anyone, Burns makes the most sense. Could likely get 2 1sts and a mid rounder for him and don't have to pay that huge contract. If Tepper is planning to go after Payton he will need that ammo. Also, if we're doing a rebuild, 2 1sts in this coming draft and 2 in the next would help a lot.
  9. He's right and wrong. Yes the rest of the division is getting good QB play. But they are also scheming to get that QB play. Wentz isn't playing great but they need to scheme him to make that offense better.
  10. Tepper hired a college coach and gave him complete roster control. He allowed him to hire an almost entirely college staff with no NFL experience. He chased a QB with dozens of allegations of sexual misconduct, had our cap completely restructured to make room, and left us in QB limbo all for a guy that had no intentions of ever coming to Charlotte. Not to mention how much what it would have done to the fan base bringing that type of guy here just for the sake of winning. He ignored all the signs last year that Rhule needed to be fired. We missed out on some good candidates for HC because he couldn't see what us common fans did. Rhule was a micromanaging BS artist that wasn't good enough for the NFL. That's not good ownership.
  11. I'm really curious if he makes it through the season, what he can do when he is allowed to select players who aren't multiple positions guys with high RAS scores. It seems like a lot of guys Matt made him target were guys he thought he could elevate. That's just not a winning formula when everyone else is already top of their game.
  12. Was kind of my thought as well, especially when "the brand" was put up. If you want to alienate a lot of players and fans, try getting rid of something and someone who meant so much to this franchise.
  13. You forgot competent owner. Looks like we don't have one of those right now either.
  14. Isn't it 70% of offensive snaps? Guess it depends on how good our new starting QB is and if we can get more than a couple 1st downs a game.
  15. I try and start whoever is playing Carolina or Chicago regularly.
  16. It depends on how the team comes out and plays. If the offensive philosophy changes and actually starts doing something that makes sense, and the defense can hold, who knows what can happen. I want to see what our guys are made of. Any that come out and half ass it can clean out their lockers for all I care.
  17. PJ went from qb4 camp fodder to week 6 starter. This just sums up the entire Matt Rhule era.
  18. Seifert was bad but he wasn't arrogant about it like Rhule. The arrogance in the face of everything a fan could see on the field every game was just mind numbing. Repeated bone head decision after bone head decision. We went from Cam to T2G to Darnold to PJ sorta to Cam2.0 to Baker to whatever the fug this is now. Holy fuging poo show.
  19. Here's the way I see it with Fitts. He wasn't really trading from an advantageous point on most of the trades. Little and Daley were both win trades. Guys we were going to cut and he got something instead of nothing. Gilmore for a 5th. Now that one I get because we had a lot of young guys in our CB room and Gilmore was DPoY. There's knowledge there that can't be coached. I don't have an issue there really. CJ Henderson. We lost horn. He wasn't doing well in Jax. Top 10 pick in a poo show run by an even bigger poo show. He's brought here. He has the skills. But we also had Rhule who had shown repeatedly he didn't know how to play to his players strengths. CJ is better press than man. CB is also one of the longest transitioning positions from college. Right now it's not as good as we could have hoped, but it's also not as bad as it could have been. Darnold. We were forced to trade because we had no one other than PJ and Grier. When you're desperate, it's a bad position to be in. You have no leverage in a trade because you can't really walk with what's available on the roster. Jets had us over a barrel and knew it. We got fleeced because we traded T2G with no other plan in place. Baker. The result of an owner that mortgaged everything for a QB that didn't want to be here. Baker took a pay cut to come here, which made it work for us, which was a good part of the trade. And for a 5th, potential 4th, it wasn't a bad price for a starting QB. Again though, everyone knew Darnold was poo and had to be replaced. No leverage again and we needed someone because all we had was, well, PJ. He's a QB with issues after we've already played 4 QBs in 2 years. Add in RPO is not his game and never has been, and the pairing with McAdoo makes zero sense. Corral. I think his hope in trading up for MC was that we would have time to develop him and while he wouldn't be a starting QB yet, he has potential and we needed a more viable backup. Again though, this trade was influenced by poor QB decisions with Cam, T2G, and Sam. But these trades also can't be looked at strictly in a vacuum. The big part of all of this is Rhule and his complete mismanagement of the roster. Baker is the worst QB to bring in for McAdoo's system. It's hard to use a RPO offense with a QB that can't run. Add in pointless "competitions", lack of reps all over, playing guys out of position, stubbornness that makes Rivera look flexible like a gymnast, going with his gut instead of watching film, it all just adds up. Rhule's incompetency can't be understated or underestimated. I knew last year watching the last game presser, Fitts was not happy with the way things were going. The guy has been in a tough spot taking a job no one else wanted with an owner that's interfered the entire way and a head coach with personnel control. He hasn't won trades, but at the same time, we were never negotiating from a position of strength.
  20. To run the offense we currently have in place, we need a QB that can run. That's not Baker. PJ ain't it. Darnold is still out. Corral is out for the year. Cam makes some sense. Now would he want to come here? that's another thing. I don't see Wilks just rolling over and losing out the season if he can help it. Cam may be his best option.
