  1. After firing Rhule, and with Tepper's constant interference in football operations, I have no idea if Tepper would sign off on the Burns trade or not. He seems like a guy that think he knows what he knows and consequences be damned. I also don't like that Fitts could be on the hot seat and is having to think about saving his job vs the long term success of the franchise. Tepper really fuged over the organization by keeping Rhule last year when everyone else knew he was full of poo. It's put everything in a bad light as far as operations go. I still think we should have traded Burns if we were looking to do a rebuild correctly.
  2. I'm not crying over anything. It was sarcasm. I don't want SP here because he tried to end careers. I don't care how great of a coach you are, that's BS. We all complain about how much BS it was when Denver was allowed to tee off at Cam with no repercussions, but now I'm supposed to be ok with a guy that was paying his players to do it to others just because he could be wearing Panthers colors? Nyah, I'm good.
  3. Or in a divisional move to fug the Panthers, we trade away our 24 1st to NO, he coaches 1 year and retires again. Though I'm sure there would be a clause to prevent this, it wouldn't surprise me if it happened.
  4. Because a guy in his 30s or 40s is able to be kept long term if he's successful. I know turnover for coaches in the NFL is pretty high, but if you can get 10-15 years out of a successful HC, that's an exceptional hire IMO. And for trading away a future 1st, it better be an exceptional hire. At 59, it's a valid question how long would he be wanting to remain as a HC. If he decides in 4-5 years, father time is calling and he wants to be done because the job is too much or more important things like time with the grandkids, there's not much you can do. Plus, he's already retired once. Very valid concerns for a coaching hire I think.
  5. McD has shown he will adapt and that's what has made him successful. Ron, Fox, even Rhule were all so ridiculously stubborn that the idea of changing anything must have sent them into a tirade. The one defensive guy I think could buck that trend right now is Ryans. He's young and really in tune with the creative aspect of the game, in part I imagine because of who is on the other side of the ball. I just don't see Steve in that same category. 27 years and still no back to back winning seasons. It's time to do something different.
  6. Not really. Wilks is who he is. He's a defensive coach who is a good leader of men. The NFL has made it abundantly clear that offense is going to be the way moving forward with the rule changes and the now feather touch personal fouls to the QB. We need to hop on this boat with an offensive minded head coach instead of constantly fighting upstream.
  7. Translation. Michigan called my bluff and I'm not getting a raise.
  8. Other than for fantasy football, I would have been done with NFL. I'm getting close to being there anyway. It's basically the WWE with the way refs are allowed to steer the outcomes of games now anyway. Unless the NFL takes action to fix some of this stuff, I'll probably be done in 5 years or so. At that point, just hire Vince McMahon and get it over with.
  9. I'm rooting for week old gas station sushi to be served to both teams for their pregame meals.
  10. We could have, but we were dealing with an owner that hired Hurney. Twice.
  11. It they aren't open to being uncomfortable with coaching hires, it makes you question their ability to become uncomfortable during game planning, half time adjustments and player evaluations.
  12. I don't think we have any intentions of trading up. If we did, we would have pulled the trigger on the Burns trade. I know you need an edge rusher, but 5 1sts and 5 2nds over 3 years is a lot of necessary ammo to work with if you have intentions of moving up to get into one of the top 2 spots to get the most valuable position on the field.
  13. Giants player jogging off the field after 4th down with his helmet off. There really needs to be a serious review of rules this off-season and their enforcement.
  14. At this point just put flags on the QBs.
  15. Theres a reason everyone was talking about Cam taking the number of hits he was and the RB at 30 wall. You cant take that kind of pounding constantly without it having an effect. Luck retired because he was tired of always being dinged up. All those hits are gonna add up and it will only take 1 TJ type hit to end any of their careers.
  16. Difference being Lamar is the ravens offense. Saquon is the focus of the Giants. The Ravens are doing the same thing and designing their offense around Lamar running a lot. Thats why its not sustainable if it keeps up.
  17. Payton, Herbert, Ekeler, Williams, Allen, Palmer, Everett. That offense could be very scary.
  18. And Jets fans didn't think they could despise Sam Darnold more.
  19. Does Herbert take the torch from Ryan yet?
  20. He may have been trying to pin them in since coverage team was much closer
  21. That's the prize for moral victories. Jets and Lawrence would have been interesting to see.
  22. That and the NFL wasn't going to let a corporate icon like Manning go 1-3 in SBs and go out on a loss.
  23. We got a first hand look watching Cam's career and body get obliterated from the punishment he took playing his style of QB and the NFL letting it happen. Lamar is a smaller version of Cam. It's not hate. It's reality concerning the way he plays QB. Plus it's likely a fully guaranteed contract. 5 year 250 mil contract let's say, his career ends on some fluke injury 3 weeks into his first season, that's 50m a year on the books you can't get around. That's a franchise breaker for the next 5 years.
