  1. We need new weapons but we need someone who has at least some small idea how to use them first. Doesn't matter how big of a cannon you have if your offense is all bottle rockets.
  2. Trubisky is a backup that was benched for an unprepared rookie because he was playing so poorly. Neither one are guys you want to rely on, but the loss today was far less Sam than anyone else.
  3. For a division that bad they should. I can't even imagine being 12-5 and watching a 6-11 team host a game because they were the least smelly turd in the bowl.
  4. This is the first time this year Trubisky looked like an NFL QB. Our defense was flat out abused and our vaunted run blocking OL looked like the 3 stooges.
  5. The most important game of the season to this point and the team looks unprepared, unmotivated, and flat out terrible. Sorry, it's over. Great feel good story but proof is in the results and the results are this team is still ass.
  6. Burns is no Bosa, Watt, Miller, or Mack. No need to pay him like one.
  7. He probably got hammered before the game. I would have if I had to watch this in person.
  8. I picked up Carolina's D this week in fantasy because Trubisky was starting. Oy Vey.
  9. For every Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Sting, or Rick Flair, there has to be a Barry Horowitz. Yes, I'm that old I remember the first Wrestlemania. The NFL is an entertainment company and has shown over and over again, it creates a product and will do whatever it needs to do to keep the popular storylines going. We see it every week with the wild variations in penalties and other questionable calls that change the momentum and outcomes of games. It's become so common now you can expect 10-15 of these calls a week across the league. The NFL will protect its interests. It's why I still firmly believe the NFL was never going to let an upstart young team led by a highly energetic and vivacious QB ruin the finale of one of the most cerebral QBs to ever play the game. Payton finishing 1-3 in the big game would have ruined his legacy.
  10. The guy is in a good situation with pro bowl TE, all pro RB, and on offensive genius running the show. He's doing what's asked of him. He may be the future, he may not. For now, he looks better than the guy they gave up 3 1sts to get.
  11. Pretty bad when the NFL is just an entertainment company and they keep trotting this crap out. Why not just let the refs throw a guy in a figure 4 or drop an elbow every now and then. It'd be about as legit as what we're seeing now.
  12. In order to get paid more than an average running back, you need to be able to do more in an offense built around using all a RB talents like CMC in SF. We don't have that here. Would need to see some massive upgrades at the OC position to consider paying him more than JAG salary. I'd have no issue giving him a 3 year contract for 3-4m per if he was used like CMC, Ekeler, Saquan, or others in the passing game, but he's not. Alexander Mattison is someone I would rather target if we were going to spend money on a RB, and even then it would be 2 or 3 year at 2.5-3.
  13. This whole scenario depends on who else is available in FA. If it's Wentz, Grier, or some random 3rd string QB, you have to consider re-signing Darnold on a backup contract. PJ Walker cannot be the plan, or someone of his caliber if our rookie QB or MC go down or aren't ready. Minshew would be my choice if we're going that route, but there's way too many factors right now to really choose a path.
  14. We need an offensive mind. This franchise has had a DC leading the way aside from Rhule who was just BS and we've never had back to back winning seasons. Something has to change and it needs to start by putting someone in charge whose primary focus is offense in an offense driven league.
  15. I'm not opposed to it only because I think we need a backup with more than PJ has to offer. That said, I don't think Cam would come back under these circumstances.
  16. Rhule also killed the environment for 99% of the fan base as well.
  17. I'm all in because it wouldn't matter if I wasn't. I also realize that this off-season is the key and getting the HC, DC and especially OC correct are going to be the key to success moving forward. It wouldn’t matter if we had the 1st, 2nd and 3rd pick this year with a coach like Rhule at the helm. We have to get this right or it's another 3-5 years of purgatory.
  18. Followed him out here at WSU for years. He was loved by fans, players, and alum alike. RIP coach.
  19. With the way he rolled my first thought was "oh poo, what did he tear?"
  20. They wouldnt have had to trade up to get him. The coaches and FO did not want him at all. If they had lost another 2 games that year, the pick still would have been Dwayne Haskins. Synder was taking Haskins no matter who was available.
  21. The only reason we got Burns is Dan Snyder is a meddling idiot. He wanted Dwayne Haskins and he made sure they drafted him at 15. The coaches and FO didn't want him, but they all knew if he was available, he was the pick. The next pick for them was Montez Sweat at 26, so they still got an edge rusher, but it would have been Burns most likely if not for DS. Then our pick would have been THE Greg Little. That meaningless win would have mattered a lot if hadn't been for Dan Snyder.
  22. More annoying to listen to speak. Matt Rhule or Jar Jar Binks?
  23. If the NFCS had a team above .500, he should be in the running. But being a division winner in a division this bad isn't quite the accomplishment it looks like.
