  1. He bought a business that no matter how much he loses, he still wins. An NFL franchise prints $$$.
  2. If Bryce can't beat out his backup he's not the guy. If he wasn't the 1st overall pick, he'd have been cut already.
  3. Manscaping with a rusty butter knife would be less painful than watching those last 7 games.
  4. If DC thinks the development of BY is more important than all other offensive players, he can kick rocks too. But sure, let's triple down on BY being an NFL QB. Ideas like this are why we can't have nice things.
  5. It would also help if we hadn't gutted the defense to build around a QB that would be benched 2 games into the season. I'm tired of this board being right more than our coaches. Did we need line help? Absolutely. Did we need to spend all those picks on offense? Maybe. Did any of it help our bust QB throw the ball, or fix his footwork, or read a defense, or any other of the dozen things a PS QB can do? Nope. Bryce has never been the best option to win and if those in charge had actually admitted it instead of doubling down, it's likely we wouldn't be this short of talent.
  6. They've already gone the FA QB route which is what they would have to do again eating up most of the space freed by Watson. They'd be better off to keep those 1sts, draft their own QB, and kick Watson to the curb as soon as his contract is up. A young QB on a rookie contract is more valuable than a vet QB. Unless you're the Panthers and your shiny new QB is a huge little anchor.
  7. I would guess they offer Darnold 2 years if he keeps playing like he is. Sit McCarthy, let him get fully healed, and let him learn like Love did. Plus, other than money, why would he want to come here. He's seen toxic Tepperball in action. I can't imagine he'd want to come back to Carolina unless no one else offered him a FA contract or Dave was willing to shell out 4yr/200m guaranteed.
  8. We draft too many projects hoping to turn them into Jerry Rice. It never happens but *insert high RAS score player name here* will do it this time for sure.

  10. Defense has provided lots of snap opportunities to help create that number.
  11. Hard to score points with the defense on the field all the time.
  12. Well, it's kind of like dog years, but we'll call them Bryce years. 1 game = 1 season worth of emotional pain.
  13. We have Offensive players that need development. I don't give 2 shits about Bryce or the first pick. The pick doesn't matter if we take a QB and once again don't know the quality of the receivers we expect him to throw to. Try to win every week. We're not going to win many, if any, but we owe it to the future of the team to allow as many players to progress as we can.
  14. It was a failure, not a mistake. A mistake, everything looks right and adds up but for one reason or another, it just doesn't work out. Nothing about Bryce looked right except for the results from a brand new, albeit questionable, test results (as far as NFL grading), that was supposed to announce the coming of the next GOAT. But instead there were inadequacies across every aspect of his game. This was failure in such spectacular glory that the person(s) responsible should be banned from football operations forever.
  15. Bet large against the Panthers. Claim your winnings.
  16. What life as a Panthers fan looks like under Teppers leadership.
  17. Just because you want something doesn't mean you actually know how to get it. You say he's just the money guy but by his own admission he's been heavily involved in decision making. He's a hedge fund manager, not a 30 NFL Exec. Darnold and Baker are doing better because they have coaches who are maximizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses while helping them grow and mature as men and football players. The Panthers hired a coach more concerned with implementing OOU than winning. He hired a GM in Fitts that made me as a huddle GM look like an NFL mastermind. Then he hired an "outside" firm to find the most qualified GM and it happens to be Fitts cohort in failure. Injuries happen to every team, but having depth from well scouted drafts is key to success. Every decision this team has made has been not only wrong, but called by this MB with more frequent success than the professionals.
  18. I expected Young to be benched by week 6. Happily surprised it happened after week 2.
  19. We can't even draft players that are on the team after 2 years.
