We had a QB that wouldn't tow the company line and the owners let Tepper buy the Panthers as some weird fuged up revenge.

Just because you don't want to lose doesn't mean you know how to win. Tepper has no idea what he's doing and it's showed. We've been a revolving door at QB trying to find lightning in a bottle. We've got guys making major decisions getting it wrong more times than a freaking fan message board. There's no real plan in building a team. We're throwing poo at the wall to see what sticks, but the only thing we're left with is gobs of poo everywhere.

It's not just Bryce. It's everything that Tepper sports touches turns to ass. The assistant guy to the GM that turned this team into a bigger laughing stock was the best GM hire available according to independent consulting? Translation. Only person willing to take the job. There's no fixing this team until Tepper is gone.

He should have been a 3rd day to UDFA based on the film and his measurables. The S2 hype and how he played evaluation game at the combine got him drafted 1st.

Sad part is we actually did end up hurting ourselves with all the restructuring of contracts so we could even make the offer. Then we spent all that money to still suck. It's like finding out the gas station is out of sushi so you buy one of those hot dogs that was put on the roller during spring break of 88'.

Bryce knew how to play the draft process. The combine and the draft are a game all their own and in that, he clearly played the game better than anyone else. The S2 being the sudden golden ticket for QB success after Purdy breaking through as Mr. Irrelevant? Come on. But BY had been practicing for years and it just so happens Stroud has his "terrible" score released. Bryce shows up to the combine clearly above playing weight and won't compete in drills against other QBs where the deficiencies in his arm strength would be glaringly obvious. His highlight of the combine was breaking down a play over dinner so Dave and Nicole could understand it. 15 minutes is plenty of time to break down a defense play scheme during the game. There's a reason he doesn't play inside the pocket and it's because he can't because his line of sight happens to be below the shoulder level of the 8 to 12 guys in front of him. He played the media, he played the Teppers and he played the fans to the tune of 30 million bucks.

Doesn't matter if Bryce is in or not. The answer is still not on the roster.

My SIL did 2 tours there followed by 10 years for PTSD. Those responding are probably going to need help too during this. No they weren't. It was a 23' 2nd, 24' 1st, 25' 1st. That's QB value for a defensive player that wasn't even a top 10 edge overall player. You take that and run as fast as you can every damn time.

Young played the game to the terms of 30 million guaranteed. He put on weight for the combine and then didn't participate. He psychologically put a whoopin' on Dave and Nicole and he knew exactly how to play them to get taken at 1. Somehow a test no one has really even heard of is suddenly the golden ticket to finding a NFL QB and BY happens to have been practicing it for years? Bryce was a snake oil salesmen and the Panthers (Dave and Nicole) got taken.

TBH, a huge part of me wants to make him ride the pine unless someene is dumb enough to offer us a 1st. He screwed us over with all that pre draft BS. Let's screw him over and make him a bench warmer.

I remember listening to locked on Panthers after his first game in Atlanta and Julian emphasized how on the 1st pick, Bryce said he didn't bother to look off the safety. I don't know why that's always stuck with me. It made me think he expected this to come easy, and it's been anything but. This isn't 5 star vs 2 and 3 star recruits. They're all the elite of the 5 stars.

Win-win is Dalton gives us the best chance to evaluate Mingo, XL, Brooks, Sanders (not miles), DJ, Theilen and our OL. Whether we win 4 games or 8, knowing what we have in our offensive players is far more important than trying to save Bryce's career.

Bryce should never have been starting. He has one half of football that looks pro level in 18 games. Tepper has been heavily involved in operating a business He knows nothing about. I don't care if Tepper benched him. Tepper drafted and started him when it's clear to anyone who watched last season and 2 games of this that BY has never been a starting caliber QB in the NFL.

Not really. The team sees more than we the fans see and what we the fans saw was god awful. I think the team was done with it and Dave could read the writing on the wall. These guys don't sacrifice their bodies and time with family to rah rah behind someone who obviously can't play the position at an NFL level with at least some level of competency. Dave didn't lose the locker room, Bryce did. Dave just publicly recognized it.

You have to wonder if this level of play is why BY wasn't playing preseason. There would be no way to start him if he was this bad in the preseason against 1's
