Smitty: Dave you're an idiot and I'm doing things my way. Dave; This zoom interview has a bad connection. I'll call you back in a minute. 3 months later....

Someone spikes the opposing teams water at every home game with turbo laxatives

I want the best opportunity for this team to win. I don't care about where a player is drafted. If Dalton is the best chance for this team to win, then he needs to play until Bryce can beat him out. If Bryce can't beat him out, then that's a problem with Fitterer and Tepper and their evaluation and selection process. The same goes for every other position on the field. The biggest problem in this organization right now is an egotistical owner who thinks he knows everything about football when all evidence points to the contrary. Smart owners and coaches realize once a player is drafted, they are a sunk cost. From that point on, they're just another player. The 49ers moved on from their high value QB pick because he wasn't better than Mr. Irrelevant. Tepper is the problem with this organization. 5 years in and we are the worst franchise in professional sports. Bryce, Frank, Fitts, Rhule, the process. Tepper.has chosen them all.

See, we weren't sucking this year. That was the whole point of drafting BY. This team won 7 games last year on pride and passion at the end against some bad teams, but we still won. Bryce was supposed to be dropped in as the most pro ready QB since Andrew Luck and take this team over the top. That's what was supposed to happen. Bryce has at best looked like a practice squad QB. If he wasn't the 1st pick in the NFL draft, he'd be cut. He's that bad. That's not emotion, that's just facts. Emotion is what Tepper hasn't allowed and that is the benching of Bryce Young to try and save his pride. I've seen enough. Am I emotional? Yeah. Why? Because it's so obvious 99.99 % of fans can see the job isn't getting done. Dalton may suck balls too. But the best offensive game we've seen this year came in the loudest stadium in the NFL in shitty weather with an oline that gave out pressures like they were candy at Halloween. I said it at the beginning of the season, all during the season, and I will keep saying it. Put the best QB on the field regardless of where they were drafted. And right now, the best QB on this team is not Bryce Young.
-
The team looks like hammered shitt with Young at QB. At some point you have to have some fukking pride. Honestly, Bryce should bench himself. He's hurting the team. I'd have more respect for him as a leader if he sat himself and gave this team an opportunity to be better. But hey, keep him on the field the last 3 games and let him set an NFL record. Bryce Young. Owner of the worst season of football by any QB in NFL history.

By that rational, why even look at college tape? High school or pop warner should be enough because the level of competition is irrelevant. How can anyone be a bust in the NFL when they dominated in college? It’s impossible.
-
What he did in college is irrelevant now. The level of competition is different. Guys in the NFL can catch up to his throws. The elite of the SEC are the JAGS in the NFL now. Against NFL level competition, he hasn't even looked mediocre.

Who has been the Panthers MVP this season.
SmokinwithWilly replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
For me it's Brown, Luvu and Evero. All 3 have done well this season despite the poo show around them. Evero needs to be in serious contention for HC if he will even consider it. -
Bryce Young is historically bad, and he's regressing
SmokinwithWilly replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stroud is making basic NFL level throws. Young is not. Right now, with the level of Youngs play, I would say we had lost our first 3 qbs and he was a guy we picked up off someone else's practice squad last week. Joe Flacco is playing better and was on a couch 3 weeks ago. -
Whoever next coach is I hope they have guts to bench BY

So Matt Rhule on his way back from Nebraska after the turd he laid there -
Bandwagon fan is all the people that started showing up for Panthers games in 2015 saying they had been there all along. Nobody "jumps on the bandwagon" for 3 decades and watches only 7 winning seasons in all that time. David Tepper has poisoned this franchise and its fanbase. If someone wants to walk away from this toxic mess, I don't blame them. At this point the only hope I have left is some ridiculous scandal forces the sale of the team.

Tepper is a toxic boss. No way in hell Harbaugh is leaving his cushy spa at the big house to come woller in the sewage dump that is the Panthers.

Panthers Vs Saints 1PM Gameday Thread

At least the Panthers are scoring points for me in fantasy. Streaming defenses against Carolina is a winning strategy. -

Against college level players when Bama is heads and shoulders a over other teams with talent. What he did at Bama means poo. I'd rather have Jake Browing even with the pick 6. -

Motivation to win in a lost season
SmokinwithWilly replied to Green-Ghost's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dalton needs to start. We need to know what we have in Mingo and any other WR that might give a damn. Part of me thinks it might help the oline play better with a QB who knows more about what NFL defenses are going to do and also isn't going to go down if a defensive player gets a mitt on him. -
Hot take: We need a defensive-oriented coach
SmokinwithWilly replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
It will be interesting to see what happens when Johnson and Slowik get their shots at HC. -
Hot take: We need a defensive-oriented coach
SmokinwithWilly replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having an offensive minded HC allows you to not have to replace your OC constantly when good ones are hired away to be HCs. Offensive or defensive HC, you still need to have some kind of team identity and plan to make it happen. Right now we're a clusterfug. -
It's an organizational problem
SmokinwithWilly replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
The team needs a direction, a bedrock principal to stand on. Everything needs to be based on that. And it needs to be followed regardless of who walks in the door. Right now, it's whatever whim happens to strike. That's why keep pounding has meant so much to so many fans. We understand what it means, what it embodies. It's everything you have, every day. Fans gave, players gave. You could see it in certain players more than others. When you think of Keep Pounding, names like Sam, Cam, TD, Luke, Beason, Olsen, Kalil, Smitty, and so on, come to mind immediately. There's very little, if any of that present in the leadership of this team and its something this franchise needs desperately. I love what keep pounding represents. But for this franchise, I think accountability needs to be the focus. Be accountable for your decisions, as well as the results. It starts at the top. Here's looking at you Dave. -
