They either had to 100% invest in Bryce and have that plan set up before they even picked him, which they obviously didn't, or never make that pick. Our front office and coaching staff were not prepared for Bryce and whether that's an immense failure of preparation on their part or he sold them a whole lot of poo in interviews, or a combination of both, whatever happened, the result has been a colossal shitshow all the way around. Like I said before, I hope Bryce turns it around and becomes the franchise. But everything thats been done up until now by ownership and our front office could have been done better by a 5 year old playing Madden.

We dont want him to fail. We want him to succeed. We want him to be the franchise. We are fast approaching a critical point this offseason where we have to either extend him, decline or take his 5th year, or play him on his final year. Our FO has been very lazy about building anything behind him if he isnt the guy, to prevent us being forced to go QB in the 1st again. The way this whole situation has been handled from the trade, to the Teppers, to Reich, to the combine, etc has been ridiculous.

There was some pretty egregious missed calls vs the Chiefs in the Lions game, especially Kelce. The completion where he clearly used the ground to catch the ball. The hold in front of the ref as Pacheco ran by where the defender was trying to turn around and couldnt because Kelce had him by the jersey. Mahomes openly taunting after scoring a TD. 0 penalties after double digit the week before. Cmon.

Go back and watch the Lions Chiefs game this week and its the same thing. The NFL wasnt going to let the Chiefs be 2-4. The NFL is an entertainment league. They can have the refs steer games however they like.

Moton isnt going anywhere. We just gave him a 2 year 44 million extension with 40m guaranteed.

Hate to say it but this is one of the reasons we really didnt need to extend Moton yet. Some tough decisions are going to have to be made. We cant afford to pay everybody.

That was Fittershits. Granted Morgan was assistant. Since then Tepper has supposedly stepped back, but as I said, makes his opinion well known. You can't tell how much influence he's exerting.

It's part of what makes his job as GM so hard to judge. You cant tell what Tepper has forced. He made it perfectly clear he walks through the building making his opinion well known and when the big boss does that he intends for people to listen even when he's being "hands off."

Oh I'm not kicking the man at all and any win over the cowboys is a good one. I just want long term success for us as fans. We deserve it. One of my favorite moments as a Panthers fan was watching Dieon talking smack all week leading up the playoff week and getting knocked the fug out. Hating the Cowboys is just one of those things you enjoy doing.

I'll still never understand that pick. Going into the season planning on Corbett starting at center made no sense. Switching positions, coming off injury, not that good anyway. Just take a center and be done. Pressure up the middle is a QB killer.

Just speaking for myself, it's year 3 and at the end of the season it's going to be pivotal in regard to Bryce's future in Carolina. I wish it was as easy as sitting back and enjoying the season, but the next 5 years or so is going to depend on his performance this year. Just the nature of the beast.

Also worth noting right now that Morgan has a QB on a rookie contract. Its going to get a lot harder at the end of the season when we have to either re-sign Bryce in the 40-50AAV range or look to FA/draft for a new QB. Im still not a fan of how he's built this offensive line. Draft guards and centers, pay tackles. It's a rule for a reason. RBs can be found in FA. Put them behind a good offensive line and watch them eat. We played a Dallas team without their elite WR and they took us to the brink. This team is showing life and playing better and thats a good thing. Dan has also been here with Fittershits too and contributed in how much to putting us in the predicament we're in. This year's draft is showing lots of promise. Credit where it's due. But I'm nowhere near crowning him a top GM yet.

Those things are on nearly every team's wish list. There aren't 64 receivers with that kind of speed and route run ing available in the draft and we cant get them here in FA because we spent 100m to have the most expensive line in the NFL to put in front of Bryce. I dont like how theyve built this offense either but a QB has to be able to elevate the pieces hes got somewhat to be a franchise QB, especially with what we paid for Bryce. And if we did manage to somehow get all of that, Bryce would need to set every offensive NFL record because our defense would be so devoid of talent they'd never be able to stop a drive.

Cam had his moments for me like celebrating a 1st down when we were down big, but overall, dude was a big kid playing the game he loved. He made the game fun for fans and engaging. He was great for fans, and probably for bringing in new young fans, but not enough old fans with $$$ and instead of embracing change they stuck with Sid and his old balls.
